Playing it on my series S and love revisiting Halo, except for the image quality. Its blurry as hell, by design choice and you cant turn it off on console and it ruins it a bit. At least it stable with the frame rates, which is the most important part. And its fun to play, but Im guessing nostalgia plays a big part for me.
AC Black Flag Resynced - I've finished the story and I'm mopping up the final trophies for the platinum. I've had an amazing time with this remake, the original was already one of my favorite games and I feel like they managed to improve it with Resynced. I like the new added stuff and I like that they removed the modern day parts as that just broke the immersion too much. I'll probably keep coming back for many years just to sail the oceans and sing along with the shanties, just as I did with the original 🙂
Next up are more remakes of some other favorite games, Halo Campaign Evolved, and Moss: the Forgotten Relic 🙂

Still roaming the seas in AC Black Flag Resynced and loving every moment of it. The mix of story missions, building your settlement and fleet, hunting, harpooning, exploring, looking for lost treasure or just cruising in your ship singing shanties is just so good imo.
I also need to get Moss - The Forgotten Relic. I've played the VR version which I loved and the game is probably better on PSVR2 but still, its a really good game thats gotten very good reviews on the flat version so I'm playing that one too. But maybe after I'm done pirating.
Well, if Xbox wants to pay for Bethesdas development cost for each of the games, which will likely take 7-10 years each, and not make much money back by keeping it exclusive then I’ll happily take it.

Its so awesome to sail the seas again, singing along with the shanties and looking for loot! Its a great remake imo, as they've kept the old game minus the modern day stuff, put in some minor improvements and underwater exploration for example, and a good graphical overhaul. Its all I ever wanted from it 🙂🏴☠️ Now back to the Jackdaw!
I’m mostly just waiting for Black Flag and playing some small games here and there, like getting the platinum in Bluey playing with my daughter.
I did however also go back and finished the last bit of story for AC Shadows - Black tides. It was a nice little bit of added story tying the game together with the other games. I’m impressed with the updates Shadows has been getting. I also love the game and each time I’ve been back I’m reminded of how good I think it is. Really got me hyped for more AC with Black Flag next week!
I used to do some points hunting when you very easily could get enough to get GPU 8-10 months a year but that was honestly too good to last. Now I dont really bother.
I feel like Xbox should not have stated anything regarding this, it just draws more attention to the fact it will sell better on Playstation since they have more consoles sold. Its pretty obvious. There wont be much of any difference between Ps5 and XSX in terms of performance, play it on the console you want. If you have a Pro though, then it makes a difference.
The standard edition (but not for my Series S), almost never get any other edition unless it turns out I love the game and they include a season pass I want or something but then I usually get that edition on a sale
On our way home after a family trip, which was awesome. Brought the Portal and managed to play a little (as usual, I have to say its an amazing little streaming device, with the added options to stream ps plus games or many of the games in your library directly its even better than before 🙂).
After playing Mixtape, which I loved, I wanted to try Beethoven & Dinosours previous game; The Artful Escape - which is trying to put it simple a sidescrolling game about a teenage boy with a guitar going off on a spaced out adventure. Imo it wasnt as good as Mixtape but I still really enjoyed the game, or experience rather and I'm pretty impressed by the developers imagination. Its also short and sweet at around 3-4 hours which meant it didnt overstay its welcome. (Do check the game out before eventually buying it, its not for everyone). Great game to play on the Portal too 🙂
Got a used Series X for the son for about 400 dollars around four years ago or so. I also got two Series S before the price hikes. Turned out to be great value, sadly.
Hope they dont break, dont think I’ll replace them if I cant find a used one at a decent price…
It looks even worse in comparison, a series X being 150 dollars more than a ps5 is asking a lot of new customers. Dont think games like Gears E-Day changes that one bit.
I’m sure both Sony and Nintendo will have to increase the price of their consoles too but it might be a while and with these differences Sony might we’ll feel it worth it to hold out a bit longer to sell ps5s to those not finding a series X worth the cost….

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight - I've finished the story, which was pretty good actually for a Lego game, and I'm now mopping up collectibles (they sure did put a lot of those in there, didn't they.... 😵). Its a really good game imo, very good gameplay and fighting, Arkham is great and fun to explore, and playing co-op adds even more fun. Some of the collectibles are fun to do, like solving the puzzles and riddles, but others just need picking up and as mentioned way too many. Still, I'll chip away until that platinum is mine but it'll probably take weeks 🙂
CoD Vanguard - Finally they dropped a CoD game on gamepass. Now, I'd been warned the campaign in this one is bad but I'm still a bit surprised that I after about 2 hours of play is actually considering dropping it. Its just lacking all of those ingridients that typically makes a CoD campaign good imo, and whats there is kind of boring (for CoD). The thing is its a shorts campaign, I'll need like 4 more hours to finish and my series S needs the attention so maybe I'll play some here and there until its done!
Now we're off on a trip, I'll be bringing the Portal and I have some games lined up that should be good to play on it 🙂 might have to get The Adventures of Elliot too, though. Liked the demo and the reviews are good so...
I dont really care for CoD specifically but I dont like they way it was handled. Drop CoD, but keep the price higher than before was a bit ***** but it also a risk it sets a precedent where more first party games are kept of Game pass for a year or more. And that I dont like!
I love the optimism for Xbox guys! And also drag Sony in to it to take some attention away from the problems Xbox are facing.
I would like to know how Gears E-day does as an exclusive before cheering on more exclusives in the future. I’d rather have a health Xbox with studios than an Xbox bleeding money and having to close studios.

Darwin's Paradox-which I've finished and platinumed. It was a very fun, sometimes a bit frustrating and pretty original platformer. Pretty good humour too, imo. Theres a demo on Playstation at least, I can really recommend trying it. Took me about 6 hours or so, and its priced on the lower side so thats nice too!

My only complaint is that its really heavy on the collectibles. Still, really good game and really fun to play!

007 First Light - I've earned my number, and my platinum. And its been awesome to do so. Really enjoyed this game, it was so much fun to play. The developer mixed the slow parts with the action, witty humour with serious and emotional moments and everything in between in a really good way! This will be a game I'll return to every now and then, and I'm also really looking forward to more Bond in the future.
And as so often after finishing a great game, I'm having some trouble starting or even deciding on the next game to play. Hoping for some inspiration from you all 🙂
@darylb24 I would love for XBOX to be a serious contender in the console space in the future but the problem is they’ve already tried that with exclusives and gamepass and it still didnt work. I just dont see how they could make it work this time, or want to spend the money trying when they can be a great, moneymaking publisher instead.
I see a lot of wishful thinking in the comments. And i get it. But MS and XBOX are a business and going back to exclusives would mean leaving to much money on the table, maybe even running at a loss. Why would they as a business do that? No point.
Since tuesday night I've put what gaming time I have into one game
007 First Light - and I've been loving it. Its so much fun to play, like an awesome mix of Uncharted and Hitman. Very good dialog, good story, fun gameplay, great brawls, so many options to solve different problems and situations during missions... its not all perfect but on the whole it has that special something that makes it really, really fun 🙂

Call of the Elder Gods - finished and platinumed. It was a fun adventure with some nice puzzles and if you enjoyed Call of the Sea you'll enjoy this one. However, I found the story in the first game to be better, and the story in games like these are pretty important so overall I would say I enjoyed the first game more but this sequel is still good and worth your time if you like these kind of games so check it out!
Cyberpunk 2077 - I've finished my playthrough of just focusing on the main missions, which really isnt how this game should be played but then I didnt plan to play the whole game this time, I was just checking out the awesome ps5 pro update and got hooked again. It really is one of my favorite games, even if its not perfect, but Night City has a special place in my heart!
Havent decided on whats next, if I should get the lego Batman game or wait for 007 instead... I'll probably wait for Bond, that looks great!

Call of the Elder Gods - finished and platinumed. It was a fun adventure with some nice puzzles and if you enjoyed Call of the Sea you'll enjoy this one. However, I found the story in the first game to be better, and the story in games like these are pretty important so overall I would say I enjoyed the first game more but this sequel is still good and worth your time if you like these kind of games so check it out!
Cyberpunk 2077 - I've finished my playthrough of just focusing on the main missions, which really isnt how this game should be played but then I didnt plan to play the whole game this time, I was just checking out the awesome ps5 pro update and got hooked again. It really is one of my favorite games, even if its not perfect, but Night City has a special place in my heart!
Havent decided on whats next, if I should get the lego Batman game or wait for 007 instead... I'll probably wait for Bond, that looks great!

I hope its a good campaign, but after MW 3 and last years absolute disaster I dont really know what to expect.
