@themightyant No doubt there's tons to complain. But at the same time, we got two PoP games that are really fun. Star Wars Outlaws runs amazing on Switch 2 and is really fun. We got free DLC for Valhalla and Mirage. Immortals Fenyx Rising is a hidden gem. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is awesome. Valiant Hearts is pure emotion (both of them) and I really want to play their Avatar game. That's a lot of fun from just one company. So that outweighs the bad for me.

@Decoy_Snake Ever since they made GPU $20 I transformed my Series S into a retro machine, basically. I can still play a ton of fun games and I can get them for amazing prices on sales. IT's my first Xbox, so I have 3 older gen to catch up on. Right now I have about 20 euro in points. There are still plenty of retro games I want to buy and some have preference (such as the Splinter Cell series and some other 360 games). But if I end up with enough points, that would tip the scale to getting it on SS

@fatpunkslim I can agree that Team Xbox has made bad business decisions, but not optimize for the hardware that has more than double the install base? That's speculative and, quite frankly, ludicrous to even consider.
Anyway, on that and the PS6 regards, we'll have to wait and see.

@fatpunkslim As I have a PS5, a Switch 2 and a Series S (and don't like throwing money away), subscribing to Game Pass is out of the cards for me. I also work two jobs on PC, so gaming on PC is something I certainly don't do.
Also, you think PS will drop one of their biggest competitive advantages over Xbox and not have the PS6 play PS4 and PS5 games? Good joke, mate

@Decoy_Snake The only reason I'm not putting 100% on the PS5 version is the possibility of me getting it on Xbox with points. Otherwise, PS5 for sure

@themightyant I mostly agree, buuuuut... There's a ton of people who simply want to complain.
I remember A LOT of complaining around Brotherhood and Revelations for being 2.1 and 2.2. Then people complained about 3. IV was beloved, but still people complained it wasn't an AC game. Then Unity and Syndicate got a bunch of complains for being the same game. Then they changed the formula for Origins. And since then you see A LOT of people complaining that the old formula was good and the new one is bad.
Bonus points for people who still complain about AC Unity being a broken buggy mess one decade after it was fixed.
So while there is reason to complain about Ubi, as there is for any company, people do get out of their way to do so

I'm interested in the game and I have a Series S and a PS5. If I were to buy it, 90% of chance of being a PS purchase.

If Xbox keeps this trend they can call the next system the Xbox U and seal its fate

I'm not overly fond of these price increases TBH. And the fact that next gen might be even more expensive is not great for the industry.
The truth of the matter is that you can't expect people who are used to paying developed country prices to suddenly pay for developing country prices. It will not go down well

@VeganH they include the cross-gen period in these numbers. It was the same thing for the PS4

I wish both MS and Sony would take a page out of Nintendo's playbook. Nintendo knows they can't make all the games they want by themselves and so partners with other companies such as Bamco for Smash and so on. Heck, Capcom made 3 Zelda games. I wish we could have, let's say get a new Jak and Daxter and maybe get a remake of Banjo Kazooie developed by a partner studio. But alas, that's but a dream

My 3 wishes for returning games are: Prince of Persia (2008), Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, and Batman Arkham Origins

Since eariler this year I stopped using my points for GamePass. I've been using them to get as many OG Xbox and 360 games on sale as I can since I fear they'll be delisted.

Fingers crossed Reach and ODST get the same level of care and respect

@themightyant I actually do that quite a lot. I rarely check game reviews and I never check movie reviews. Also, if I know know I wanna play or watch something, I even stop checking trailers and any extra material. I find things much more enjoyable after I started doing this

This current gen was weird because we seem to be getting games that would run on past hardware (and many do), but in 40k60.
I hope that the next jump in hardware will be more impressive because we'll remain with 4k resolution and I believe 60fps will be more than acceptable to 99+% of consumers.

Besides Nintendo made stuff, I don't think any other portable gaming device sold over 10M in a decent amount of time. The Vita did sell over 10M, but it took some years to cross that line

I never thought I'd see a game named Soup... I wonder what they'll think of next

I've been using my points to grow my OG Xbox and 360 library, so this may end up being good for my particular situation.
I don't mind the 90 day limit to use the $ because we should have some good sales around BF and Xmas

I wish we could stick with the previous price and leave CoD out of it

The Series S was my first Xbox. It's now become a great retro machine. The only thing that would make me consider a new Xbox console in the next few years is integration with GOG to be honest.

$30 per month? That's insane.
Might as well buy the games at this rate or even better, wait some time and buy them for $30 or less.

Edit: On top of that. Daily plays on PC and console were cut in half instead of doubled. Just getting 5 each now. At least the weekly hasn't changed (yet at least)

Several of my Xbox360 games are not showing as owned anymore in the games menu. When I click on them I can play them, but they're not showing as purchased. Is anyone else having this issue?
I've tried restarting my Series S and even shutting it down completely for a few minutes. Nothing changed

I'm more likely to believe Sony will release their 1st party PS4 games on Switch 2, actually

What I'm certain is that...
If the remake is too close to the original, people will complain and blame Ubi for lack of creativity
If the remake is too far from the original, people will complain and blame Ubi for not respecting the OG
If the remake is anywhere in between, people will complain and blame Ubi for lack of vision

Hopefully there'll be something good for people outside North America.

@Lup I'm no DQ expert, but given the currently available ones, III would likely be your best bet.

I didn't expect this to come so soon after I&II, but I'm not complaining. I just hope at least some of the pacing issues have been addressed

I'm not sure both Zelda games should be excluded. It's got a new physical release for a new system.
By that metric, Forza on PS5 and LoU2 on PC should be removed as well.

@WildConcept6 XCOM is turn based.
Halo Wars is a great step into different gameplay for the series, but they could do so much more

The fact that Halo basically only has one spin-off series with just two games is criminal. There's so much they could do with it
I'd go crazy for a Halo XCOM type of game

I always rotate most of the games I have. Since I also play on Switch 2 and PS5, I usually have about 15 games (most retro ones) installed on my Series S (512GB) and I still have about 100GB free.

But I guess I wasn't clear enough. It's not about being profitable or not. It's about how profitable it is.
Example: Let's say it cost them $2M to port the game and $500k for marketing and the like. They technically need $2.5M to break even. But how much profit did they expect and how quickly? If they expected $20M in profit in the first quarter of sales, $10M in the first year, or $50M in six months, they are all vastly diffenrent scenarios and some can make the project be a success while others can make it seem like a failure.

I'll get neither right away. But I'll eventually only play the campaign and on that note, Battlefield will likely be the one I play first

I think Sony expected higher numbers on PC and that didn't happen.
I can see them making money with some games on Xbox, but I think they'd be fools to ignore the Switch 2. Like it or not, it's on track to surpass 100M. Something it seems Xbox will unfortunately never do.

@Banjo- I appreciate it, and I've done that, buuuuuut it's only a parcial list. Putting the email side by side with the store, shows a bunch of titles on sale missing, unfortunately.
Another issue is that since I moved I switched everything in my account to the new region, but the email still shows prices from the old one.
It would be an easy fix. Heck, even Nintendo has this on the Switch 2

It would be nice to have the option to filter the wishlist to have only games currently on sale.
