It's that time again! Xbox has been giving out free gift cards to a bunch of people to celebrate Spring 2026, and although not everyone is eligible, it seems a decent number of Xbox users have been getting them.
Even I got one this time! Last night, I received a message from Xbox informing me of a Β£4 Xbox Gift Card that was attached to my account as a "Spring Gift". Here's another example of someone in the US getting a $5 Xbox Gift Card:
To check if you've been lucky enough, you'll want to follow these instructions:
- Turn on your Xbox console
- Press the guide button on your controller (the big Xbox logo)
- Scroll across to "Parties & Chats"
- Go to down to Chats
- See if there's anything in there from "Xbox" that looks the same as the image above
Alternatively, if you go to the Microsoft Store app and then scroll up to your gamertag on the left-hand side, you should see a section called "Offers & Credits" β if there's an Xbox Gift Card for you to redeem, it should be located in here.

As you can see from the image above, it seems the "Spring Gift" was actually issued at the start of the month (at least in my case), but it's been hidden away in the Offers & Credits section until now. It was only last night that Xbox officially started messaging people to let them know about their free Xbox Gift Card.
So, did you get a gift card this time, or weren't you lucky enough? Xbox never explains exactly who is eligible for these, so it always feels very random, but we're hopeful at least some members of the Pure Xbox community received one!
Let us know if you got an Xbox Gift Card, as well as how much it was for, in the comments down below.

As usual, a big old goose egg for me. Microsoft hates me. π
I got myself a Β£4 one last night and picked up TMNT Splintered Fate for Β£2.50, steal at that price.
I got one, but I've no idea how much it was for or even where to check!
@crippyd If you've got access to your console, follow the instructions above and you should find it.
If not, let me know if you need some PC / mobile instructions π
This is for people who don't spend much on thier Xbox, unlike me lol
I got a $5 USD gift card this morning. Too bad the sale is over and I have no more rewards points. Maybe something will go on sale between now and the expiration date.
As usual, I'm glad some people get, but I know MS will leave me out of the list
For the life of me I can't figure out where to find " Offers and Credits" on mobile - xbox app/ Xbox store or Microsoft store
REEAAALLLY certain I didn't get anything but still can't find that tab
@CallMeDuraSouka The Xbox app on mobile doesn't actually have an "Offers and Credits" section - if you hit redeem code on the Gift Card message, it takes you to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website (www.xbox.com/play). Once you're there, you can hit your profile icon and then Offers & Credits should appear.
In other words, you'll have to go into a browser, log into the xCloud site, and do it that way. Only the console dashboard and Xbox PC app have native Offers & Credits tabs.
Once again, after many years on Xbox, I have received nothing...
@FraserG Ah, wondered if I should just install the PC app.
Don't know how ya'll juggle the two sites, but I always check in a few times a day-
Love the hard work, great site!
Cheers
@CallMeDuraSouka Thank you very much!
Lucky me, both of my accounts got the $5!
I've not had a message about this and I've not received any of the free gifts cards previously sent out so I'm not holding much hope but I will check that offers and credits section you mention to see if it has anything in there ππ»
Nothing for me, once again!
I got one of these years ago but haven't seen one since.
Nice to hear. None for me.
I think im on their banned from free stuff list despite being a day 1 xbox owner and someone who has spent entirely too much on the ecosystem. (And being an insider)
Ive never gotten anything from them over the past 25 or however long it is years. Aside from a couple of things everyone got.
Someday though, someday......
I did receive a $5.00 gift card which is about as useful as anyone offering a $5.00 gift card when you are not in the market to buy anything. Something to get the customer thinking that they are getting a deal. lol. Marketing is such a joke. Keep your $5.00. Send me a free game or something I will actually use. There's a reason why Microsoft is worth a few trillion dollars. Bye.
