Delisted Xbox 360 Games Are Apparently Reappearing As 'Coming Soon' In Certain Regions

Xbox backwards compatibility is pretty amazing, especially the Xbox 360 library which is quite extensive considering it was retroactively introduced to modern Xbox consoles in 2015. However, not all 360 games — or even all of the titles that were added to the program back in 2015 — are available digitally these days, but are some about to return to the modern Xbox storefront?

As spotted by JBishie over on Twitter, it appears that the Xbox Store in certain regions is showing a bunch of old Xbox 360 games as "coming soon". The example screenshot below is in Portuguese - where 'em breve' roughly translates to 'coming soon', or something along those lines anyway (any native speakers, please correct us in the comments).

Games like Left 4 Dead 2 and Batman: Arkham Origins are playable on modern Xbox consoles, for instance, but only via disc right now and have a spotty digital footprint. For instance, L4D2 can be searched for and found on the Xbox Store but is "not available separately" - while Arkham Origins doesn't even show up on the storefront, with WB Games confirming that disc is the only way to play that one on modern Xbox consoles right now. Then, something like Lost Planet isn't even delisted - so we're not sure why that would be showing as 'coming soon' at all.

Anyway, at the time of writing we're really not sure what this means - some sort of glitch or database update is probably the most likely reason for these appearing, given that we've not heard anything official from Microsoft on this and some of the games — Lost Planet for instance — don't even make sense. Having said that, we do know that the company is hard at work making old Xbox libraries function on its next-gen console, so maybe — just maybe — this is related to that. Don't get your hopes up too much for this outcome right now though.
