@Bobobiwan Is it really growing? I was under the impression that VR was hot for a couple of months in like 2016/2017, and interest has just faded away since then. I think most people has written off VR as a fad.
I have just started Yooka-Laylee since one of the weekly Game Pass Quests was to defeat 18 minions in that game. I have played maybe 30 minutes so far, and I think I’ll like this game. The only complaint I have so far is both the music and sound effects are pretty annoying.
Wow, that is not a cool move by the publisher! This makes me glad I haven’t bought the standard edition, which has tempted me in a couple of sales this spring/summer. I will get the Ultimate Edition to play on Series X.
I almost never play online, but I’ve been subscribed to Gold for over 10 years because of all the great sales you get access to as a Gold member. I wonder what will happen to those sales if the rumours are true and Gold will be phased out. Hopefully, and ideally, they would become available to everybody, but I feel like there is a risk that the deals will be locked behind Game Pass instead of Gold...
I love Ubisoft’s open world games, and AC Odyssey as well as Far Cry 4 and 5 are some of my favourite games from this generation. I really look forward to all three of these games, but if I have to rank my anticipation as of right now it would be:
This is fantastic news! I love the first Curse of the Moon, I even unlocked all of the achievements in it, too. Haven’t played Ritual of the Night myself yet, but I watched my girlfriend play it and it’s also an amazing game, as long as you’re not playing the Switch version from what I understand.
I removed my sticker as soon as I took the console out of the box. But I’ve probably seen more consoles with the sticker left on than with the stickers removed, which is really strange to me.
I think special edition consoles generally look awful, but there are of course a few exceptions. I love the R2D2 Xbox 360 and the Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL, for example.
But I already own every one of these games except Unity and Rogue: Remastered. I will probably grab Rogue Remastered once it drops down to somewhere under £10, since I played the 360 version pretty recently. Unity, I just don’t want.
@ThanosReXXX I thinks it’s pretty fun that they keep doing these stupid names for most of their remasters. I almost felt disappointed that the remaster of Saints Row the Third was just called Saints Row the Third Remastered. They also have the upcoming remaster of SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, called Rehydrated. Not quite as stupid play on words as the others, but at least it’s not just ”remastered.”
@ThanosReXXX
It is indeed from THQ Nordic, the same people behind the titles Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition, as well as Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered.
I remember watching that presentation live at a friends apartment, being severely underwhelmed by everything from the million different TV functions, to kinect. From arm hair and smart fish in that year’s Call of Duty game to some exclusive game mode for that year’s FIFA game.
Xbone has come a really long way from then, and today Xbox One X is my favourite console of all time.
@Incarna How can you not have confidence in their RPGs when they have both Obsidian and inXile on their roster? Also with the rumours of Playground working on a new Fable. Series X is looking pretty great for RPG fans, if you ask me.
For Xbox One games I’d love to see Dead Rising 3 as it is NEVER EVER on sale. The three pack including 1, 2 and Off the Record is on sale all the time, and 4 is on sale pretty often but I’ve never seen 3 on sale and it’s still pretty expensive even though it was a launch title.
For Xbox 360 titles, I would like Fable 2 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
These games have some of the most stupid achievement lists I’ve ever seen. About half of the achievements for each game are for changing different settings in the options menu... Like, turn on reverb in the sound options, 100 gamerscore! Adjust the scanlines, 100 gamerscore!
Arc System Works should be ashamed of these achievements.
Now I haven’t actually held any of these controllers (duh), but since Sony insists on having the left stick in the wrong place and having a segmented d-pad, I can pretty safely assume I’m going to prefer the Series X controller.
Also, the Series X controller is pretty much an enhanced version of the Xbone controller, which happens to be my favourite controller of all time, so there you have it.
Yes, I remember that Japan had two different versions of Nier; Nier Gestalt for Xbox 360 and Nier Replicant for PS3.
However, outside of Japan, both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were based on Nier Gestalt, so this will be the first time Replicant is released in the west.
I have Titanfall, Forza 6, Volcano Shadow, Sports Red, Sports Blue and the regular version 2 black. My favourites are the Forza 6 and the ”sports” variants, as they have the lovely rubber grips.
This is very positive IMO. Rechargeable batteries gets worse with age, so to be able to change them out is a real bonus. I use rechargeable batteries with my Xbox One controllers, when they get bad I can just change them out instead of changing the whole controller.

Re: BioWare Shares A Look Behind The Scenes Of Dragon Age 4
I want this game now, it’s been so long since Inquisition. But it still seems like it’s pretty early in development...

I haven’t bought anything from this sale yet, but I’m thinking about picking up Sniper Elite 4 and the Bayonetta & Vanquish bundle.

Re: Phil Spencer Introduces Reverse Horror Game Carrion In Bizarre Video
@Z3u5000 I agree that Game Pass is a fantastic service. Very consumer friendly and great value for money. But it doesn’t suit everyone, including me.
Re: Phil Spencer Introduces Reverse Horror Game Carrion In Bizarre Video
@zane547 Not everyone is subscribed to Game Pass.

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Xbox One Games Is Most Underrated?
Sunset Overdrive for me, I had so much fun with that game! There is such a nice flow to the gameplay, and the controls are really spot on.
Re: Poll: Which Design Do You Prefer? Xbox Series X Or PS5?
Wow, PS5 must be one of the ugliest consoles of all time. Definitely the worst since OG PS3.
Re: Talking Point: What Xbox Series X Limited Editions Are You Hoping For?
I think special edition consoles generally look awful, but there are of course a few exceptions. I love the R2D2 Xbox 360 and the Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL, for example.

Fantastic prices indeed!

9/10, love these games

Dead Rising 3 is FINALLY on sale! The other games in the series are on sale all the time, but 3 hasn’t been on sale for years for some reason.

Re: Resident Evil 4 Is Reportedly Getting A Remake, Planned To Release In 2022
@BlueOcean Yes, but complete remakes with over-the-shoulder view would be amazing.
Re: Resident Evil 4 Is Reportedly Getting A Remake, Planned To Release In 2022
The ”tank control” games are in much better need of a remake than RE4. They really should do Code Veronica, RE1 and RE0 before moving on to RE4.

@ralphdibny Yes, the textured grip is bumpy hard plastic while the rubber grip is bumpy rubber.
