I got so excited when I read the headline, since I love Castlevania and I have hoped for a new metroidvania entry in the series for a very long time.

However, that excitement died very quickly when I watched the trailer; this game looks very unappealing to me. I don’t like the graphics and art style, and it looks like it has a type of combat I wouldn’t enjoy. I hope I’m wrong, though, of course!

I’ve bought 65 Xbox games this year (so far…), and 0% of them are physical.

I’ve also ended my Game Pass subscription since they increased the price, so I’m back to purchasing everything I play.

This game is amazing!

@johnedwin So many people wrote the same thing about Helldivers 2, and that ended up selling really well.

I really want one, but it’s just too expensive for me.

I haven’t played it, and I probably won’t! Because despite being a huge fan of the Metroidvania genre, I did not like the original Hollow Knight.

It’s good, I’m having fun with it. But I can’t figure out how to approach the robot enemies, they seem to kill me in one shot whatever I do. Maybe I need to invest medals in a fire resistant armor?

@Kilamanjaro With OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games, only titles that are included in the BC program can be downloaded and played on a Xbox One or Series S/X console.

Can you hook this thing up to a tv and play local multiplayer with controllers?

I’m sad to say the game just keeps on crashing for me, even after the patch. I’ll just have to wait for the next one I guess 💀

I’ve never payed much attention to which games has the Play Anywhere feature. I’m guessing most first party titles has it, but is it also a common feature for third party games?

@BleedingDreamer Since the simultaneous announcement/shadow drop of Oblivion Remastered was so successful, my guess is they’ll do the same thing for Fallout 3 Remastered when the time comes. So I don’t expect anything except maybe some leaked screenshots until it actually releases 😅

Why include games with broken/unobtainable achievements in a supposed 'Achevement Hunter' sale? 🤦‍♀️

I’m really going to miss XDefiant, it has been the first multiplayer shooter that actually clicked with me.

This is very disappointing, I was eagerly anticipating the first party handheld.

However, if this is true, I’m more likely to invest in the Asus handheld, depending on price, compatibility etc.

I don’t know yet, but I’ll more likely wait for the rumored 2027 first party handheld instead.

I love Powerwash Simulator, so I will definitely give this one a try sometime

@Kaloudz They’ve also published some fun retro titles like the Cyber Citizen Shockman series and Aero the Acro-bat 🙂

Feels like there should be an additional mode where you can turn off ray tracing in favour of higher and more stable frame rate.

If you have someone to play couch co-op with, I can’t recommend Earth Defense Force 2025 enough! One of my absolute favourite Xbox 360 games.

@Lrapsody @johnK @Ricky-Spanish @Kaloudz @themightyant Limited Run’s prices are always way higher than the digital version. I think they charged £25 for Doom 64, which costs like £5 on the Xbox store

Glover will be part of the QUbyte Classics line, and the other games in that series cost between £5 and £16, so Glover should be somewhere in that price range for the digital version.

I voted Doom. Would have voted Avowed if it had a 60 fps mode at launch.

The deals for Immortals of Aveum and WRC did not show up for me, but I grabbed both of the Star Wars games.

What a shame, I love the game

• I want to know more about the Xbox handheld.
• I want less third party titles releasing on every platform except Xbox.
• I want more OG Xbox and Xbox 360 titles joining the BC program.
• I want every first party title to aim for 60 fps at launch, instead of launching at 30 fps and then have a 60 fps mode patched in like a year later like it was for Starfield and Redfall, and probably will be for Avowed.
• I want the rumors about Oblivion and Fallout 3 remasters to be true.

We had a break-in in our storage in late april this year, and my R2D2 edition Xbox 360 was stolen, amongst other things. I’m super sad I lost that beautiful console, even if I hadn’t used it much at all since the BC program started.

Nice, this is one of the few AC games I haven’t played yet, so I’m very happy about this 🙂

@BadBoyBule My guess is that all of these delisted games have re-releases coming in the near future, while Fighting Vipers and Virtual-On doesn’t.

Yeah, this smells of new re-releases. Kind of how they delisted the 360-version of Sonic Generations a couple of months before the remaster dropped.

Delistings are always sad to see, but I think I have all of these already.

Will this have local co-op?

@LonR I don’t understand why it would be such a big deal to do it in the consoles settings vs. the in game settings, it takes like 30 seconds anyway? It just feels very nitpicky to me.

@LonR You can turn off crossplay if you don’t want it. I turned it off during late pre-season when every game was filled to the brim with hackers. I’ve been playing with crossplay enabled again since season 1 started and I rarely have any problems with it.

I grabbed Fear 3 at that cheap price. I already have Fear 2 digitally and Fear Files on disc, so now I only need the first game to have the entire series.

It’s a compilation and not a new game so I don’t know if it counts; but my favourite release of 2024 is Castlevania Dominus Collection.

I loved my time with Starfield (199 hours) but I regret playing it last year having to put up with the 30 fps. Had I known that a 60 fps update was coming this year, I would gladly have waited. Now knowing better, I won’t make the same mistake with Avowed.

A huge win for sure! I’ll be sure to pick up both of these collections when they release 🙂

I hope this means we’ll also get the Mega Man Battle Network Collection. I have all the other Mega Man collections on Xbox, so it would be lovely to be able to finally complete my collection of collections.

Sad news for me. I actually love this game and I play it almost every day and hope to be able to continue doing so.

I don’t usually enjoy online shooters, but XDefiant just has something that speaks to me, and I find it very fun and addicting. Maybe Marvel Rivals could be a good substitute if XDefiant meets a too early demise…

What a silly statement; if it runs at 30 fps it doesn’t run well.

I have been really looking forward to this game since the very first teaser trailer, but I will not play it until a 60 fps patch is in place. Even if it means I have to wait until the next generation Xbox consoles.

Oh no, this is a huge disappointment for me, I was really expecting 60 fps for this game.

This means I will hold off on playing Avowed until a 60 fps update is in place (which is what I should have done for Starfield…)

Looking forward to Avowed, but I don’t mind it being moved to next year because my backlog is ridiculous 😅

@Frmknst Of course, I still buy lots of games, not everything is on Gamepass you know. I see Gamepass more like a nice complement to the games I purchase. A great way to get to try out games I normally wouldn’t have bought, like for example PowerWash Simulator and The Quarry. Both are games I would not have thought of purchasing, but played them thanks to Gamepass and loved them both.

Same with music; I’ve subscribed to Spotify since 2011, but I still purchase lots of music.

I’m interested in Magical Delicacy and Flintlock, glad both are on Game Pass 🙂

I’ve only played 1 and 2 so far, and it was 10+ years ago… but I remember liking 2 a little bit better because it felt a little more lenient with the time schedule. I would like to replay them, as well as playing 3 and 4 for the first time, but my backlog is massive 🥲

What an eyesore of a controller, and so expensive too.

@Lup The Devil’s Daughter is alright, but have you played Crimes & Punishments? It is far superior and is the best Sherlock game out of the ones I’ve played.

If this is true, I feel like Xbox should really step in and fix this.
