There are still lots of BC games that I would be very happy to get with GwG.

Nier, Timeshift, Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 to mention a few.

Yeah, I didn’t enjoy the first game, either. I hope the sequel will be better.

@Olliemar28 I know, Dead Rising 3 is a rare find in digital sales, while the rest of the series is discounted what feels like every other week.

I also waited YEARS for DR3 to go on sale, until it finally did in the 2020 summer sale.

@Nic-Noc20th-C They usually don’t add games to ongoing sales, but there should be new Deals with Gold and Spotlight sales as usual on tuesday.

Not a big loss game-wise, as it seems like a terrible game. But of course it’s still a little bit sad from a preservation standpoint. They need to come up with some kind of workaround when it comes to digital sales of licensed games.

I’ve played Indiana Jones 1, Pirates, Rock Band, Force Awakens, Batman 1, 2 and 3, and Marvel Super Heroes 1.

Out of these, Marvel Super Heroes was the best IMO.

For Xbox One games I don’t really care tbh.
For Xbox OG/360 games I would love Nier, Timeshift or Otogi.

I love when developers release free updates for older games! It shows so much love for both the customer and the game itself, and it’s also great for preservation reasons.

That being said, seeing as Dying Light 1 is over 7 years old and wasn’t even a technical masterpiece when it was new; shouldn’t it be able to run at 4K 60 fps on Series X and at least 1080p 60 fps on Series S?

@DaverDaver Yeah, I’m about 50 hours in and I’ve only got two of the great runes so far. There is so much to do in this game!

I’m going to play it after I’m done with Elden Ring.

I work 12 hour shifts this weekend, but if I find some time I will play a little Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires or work on some seasonal objectives in Forza Horizon 5.

I’m getting Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires. I haven’t played a Empires games since DW6E.

@SunShan Jet Set Radio Future, DW6 Empires, and the Conflict Desert Storm games are sadly not BC, so they are not going to happen.

Ninja Gaiden 2 and Timeshift.

Two BC 360 titles that I don’t own, and are never on sale.

I’ve only watched 2 different 4K Blu-rays on my XSX so far, Thor Ragnarök and Black Panther, and there were no issues whatsoever for me.

A heads-up to anyone interested in The Sinking City; the game does not support Smart Delivery and the Series S/X version is a separate release. So it’s really easy to buy the Xbox One version by mistake if you have a Series S or X.

I’ve only played 0 and LaD so far. Out of those two, Like a Dragon is my favourite by far, even though I’m normally not a fan of turn based RPGs.

I hope to find time to play some more games in the series (including Judgment) this year, but there are so many games in my backlog and these games are very time consuming.

Because of my huge splurge in the digital Black Friday sale, I’ve been much more restrained in the Countdown sale.

So far I’ve bought Samurai Warriors 5, Dying Light and the Anniversary upgrade for Skyrim.

@MyThoughts31 This list is for games released in 2021, Cyberpunk was released in 2020.

I’ve played all of them except Unity, Syndicate and Chronicles. My favourite is Valhalla, with Odyssey as a very close second.

So far I’ve only played 2 out of these; Forza Horizon 5 which I love, and Flight Sim which wasn’t my cup of tea.

Releasing a remaster of a Xbox 360 game in 2021(almost 2022!) and capping the framerate at 30 fps is totally inexcusable! I hope they patch this soon, because there is no reason this should run at anything less than 60 fps.

I haven’t actually played that many games released this year, yet. Out of the ones I’ve played my favourite is Far Cry 6, followed by Forza Horizon 5.

@Would_you_kindly I meant that it probably DOES NOT mean that only Kassandra gets the quest, it would be very strange if it was so. 😅
Kassandra is the canon main character, and I think that is the reason why they chose to have her name in the description of the DLC, but I absolutely think that Alexios will also get the quest.

A full remake is not really comparable to a simple remaster, since full remakes costs A LOT of money and resources, so in those cases the ”make new games instead” argument kind of sticks
Other than that, I really don’t agree with you, there are plenty of reasons to re-release and remaster older titles, even if you personally isn’t interested. Not least for preservation reasons.
Older games deserve to still be playable and made future proof. Most new television don’t even have the A/V ports for pre-HDMI consoles.

@OliverOwen I don’t agree with you at all. The problem with this release is not that it’s a remaster; the problem is that it was released as an ugly mess filled with bugs and glitches.

I really don’t understand why so many have such a negative attitude towards remasters. Everytime a new remaster is announced I see lots of people making comments like ”not another remaster” and ”make new games instead!”
This is kind of a fascinating attitude, that I think only exists among gamers. If an older movie gets a remastered release on blu-ray or 4K, no one ever goes ”make new movies instead!”
If an older novel gets reprinted with a new foreword and a new picture on the cover, no one ever goes ”write new books instead!”
When they started restoring Notre Dame after the fire, no one stood on the side shouting ”build new cathedrals instead!”

If done right, remasters are a great way to preserve games for current and future generations.
I think game preservation is very important, which is why I’m very happy about Xbox’s BC program, and I hope that ever console generation going forward will be backwards compatible.
And they are not coming ”instead” of new games, as remasters are generally handled by a smaller game studio, or a smaller team at a larger studio.

Remasters are good for the game industry, and does not hinder new game development in any way. If anything, remasters might actually be good for new game development, since remasters are much cheaper to make, they could bring in extra funds for new games.

And, of course, if you personally aren’t interrested in remasters no one is going to force you to buy or play them.

This sale apparently drove me absolutely insane, because so far I’ve purchased Far Cry 6, Watch Dogs: Legion, Diablo 2, Lost Judgment, Tales of Arise, Resident Evil 8, Transformers Battlegrounds, Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts, as well as the expansion pass for Doom Eternal… and still I’m tempted to go back in and get Guardians of the Galaxy and Dead or Alive 6. Really trying to restrain myself here XD

I got a feeling that they made sure to write out the voice actors only to taunt Nickelodeon for not having any voice actors at all in their Smash clone.

Does anybody know if this has couch co-op?

Some of these new ones doesn’t show up on my ”all owned games”, I have to search for them in the store to install them… probably just a very temporary thing.

Wow, even more games than I expected, and a lot of the games I really wanted to see.

I hope we’ll see even more updates for BC, it feels strange that they added Risen 1 and 2, but not 3.

Orange Box? Crash Bandicoot? Naruto? Garfield?

Starfield is my most anticipated game for next year, followed by Elden Ring.

Forza Horizon 5 and a little bit of Hades. Also thinking about trying out Unpacking.
