Online shooters are usually not my cup of tea, but I felt curious to try XDefiant and now I’m hooked!
I’m currently at player level 53. I have unlocked most of the Battle Pass, as well as all characters except one of the Echelon guys, and every weapon except a shotgun and a marksman rifle.
Also playing some retro games on my Miyoo Mini+, after finally getting around to installing OnionOS on it.
The 60 fps mode should have been there from the start. I played Starfield for almost 200 hours last fall/winter, and when I read this news article my first thought was ”I should have waited for this update” because those 200 hours would have been far more enjoyable in 60 fps.
But then I corrected myself; it is not that I should have waited for the update, it is the game that absolutely should have launched with a performance mode!
I haven’t gone crazy this sale. So far I’ve purchased Steelrising: Bastille Edition and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Season One which contains all of the Dark Pictures titles released so far; Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes and The Devil in Me.
I’m going to take one last look through the sale tonight so I don’t miss anything.
I genereally prefer shorter games, unless it’s an open world action/adventure/rpg. Those games can be as long as they want, because I love open world exploration and I usually never tire of that genre.
8 hours sounds perfect for a game like Hellblade 2.
@Cikajovazmaj Same for me. I LOVE Diablo 1 & 2, but 3 was a disappointment for me. I thought 4 would be more like the first two games, but yeah, it’s definitely more like 3.
Currently playing Earth Defense Force 2025 with my wife, and it is just as fun now as it was back in 2014. Highly recommended if you have someone to play local co-op with
I’m hoping for good discounts on Armored Core 6, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Frontiers of Pandora, Steelrising, the two Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance remasters, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Otogi 1 and 2, Tetris Effect, and the new Lords of the Fallen game.
Also low-key hoping for good deals on Infinite Wealth and Apollo Justice Ace Attorney, but they are probably too new to get any deep discounts yet.
I really think Capcom should prioritize remaking the rest of the tank control games(i.e. RE1, 0 and Code Veronica) before tackling 5, 6 and the Revelations titles.
One of the main things that made the original so much fun was it’s simplicity. I hope they remember that when making this new entry, but this talk of ”AAA” has made me a bit worried.
I’ve owned several hundred physical Xbox games, but got rid of most of them since deciding on going all digital back in 2017. I’ve kept some of them though, like a bunch of non-BC Xbox 360 titles, and a some Xbox One games that aren’t available digitally anymore, like TMNT Mutants in Manhattan and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
I would love some Bethesda franchise stuff to ease the wait for Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5, like a full remake of Morrowind, or the rumored remasters of Oblivion and Fallout 3.
Would also love new games from other developers set in those two universes, like they did with New Vegas. Obsidian would be the obvious choice for this, but I’m sure others such as Inxile or maybe even Playground Games could do a great job.
As I don’t want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 until the save bug is fixed (my wife lost her saves last week, 50+ hours down the drain), I decided to check out some of Larian’s previous work.
So I’m playing Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga. The gameplay is pretty fun after you get used to the jankiness, but the voice acting is sometimes painfully bad, and the writing is not very good either (lots of sexist jokes that would’ve felt mossy back in 2009 too).
But the gameplay and exploration is fun, so I plan to finish this and then maybe move on to Divinity: Original sin, which I’m sure has aged better than this game.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner FH4 still got updates all the way up to, and even after, the release of FH5. The last batch of achievements for FH4 dropped on December 8 2020, which is a month after the release of FH5.
So the fact that FH5 is still getting updates should not be read as a sign that FH6 is far away.
Edit: nevermind the achievement thing, FH5 was released in 2021, not 2020 my bad.
Wow, I really hope this will find it’s way to Xbox eventually! I’ve got some real cravings for Elder Scrolls and Fallout now that I’m feeling done with Starfield.
Just finished it two weeks ago!
Played about 200 hours I think, unlocked all achievements. Not nearly as good as Skyrim or Fallout 4, but I still loved it.
@EVIL-C It’s the publishers who decides which games go on sale, not MS (apart from the games MS publish of course). I’ve been waiting for the Otogi games to go on sale, and that would be up to Sega for example.
@Ashadelo Since you enjoy the Elder Scrolls games and Starfield, I would highly recommend the Fallout games. They absolutely have that Bethesda feel to them
I love Bethesda’s games so much! Both Skyrim and Fallout 4 are solid 10/10 games for me, and I would give Starfield, Oblivion and Fallout 3 9/10. I haven’t played Oblivion in about 15 years, though, so it might impact my rankings if I would replay it.
@NEStalgia ”Obsidian doesn't do Bethesda sized maps. They never did.”
Obsidian made Fallout New Vegas, which had a larger map than Bethesda’s Fallout 3.
They are absolutely capable of making expansive and exploration focused games if they want to, and that’s what I hoped that Avowed would be like. Avowed will most likely still be a fantastic game, but I was really hoping for an Elder Scrolls type of game to make the wait for ES6 a little easier.
Why would they choose the Game Gear versions over the Master System versions of Sonic 1, 2 and Chaos? 🤔 They are the same games, but the Game Gear versions are very zoomed in, and can get obnoxious to play because of it.

I’ll be busy at work when the show is live, so I’ll just read about the highlights afterwards.

Looking forward to Dynasty Warriors 🙂
Re: Talking Point: Which Has Been The Most Reliable Xbox Console For You?
The only Xbox model that has given me any trouble whatsoever is my early model Xbox 360 which RRODed for me after about 6-7 years of heavy use.
After that I’ve had 360 Slim, OG One, One X and now a Series X and they have all worked perfectly 🙂

I’ll jump back in when the DLC arrives.

Re: Lots Of Xbox Games Are Reduced By 90-95% For The Rest Of April
@Banjo- Great list! 🙂
I would add the original Yooka-Laylee, Shovel Knight and the Disney Afternoon Collection to the list (and remove Duck Tales Remastered 😅)

Re: Poll: Star Wars Fans, What Do You Think Of The Battlefront Classic Collection?
@ironcrow86 I love Jedi: Fallen Order, it’s a fantastic game in my opinion. I haven’t played Survivor yet, but I bet that’s also good.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Be Interested In Microsoft's White Xbox Series X Revision?
I jave a Series X already, so there really isn’t any point for me in getting this version.
A handheld Xbox, on the other hand, would be an essential purchase for me, I really hope those rumours are true.
Re: Talking Point: Has Ray Tracing Been A 'Complete Waste Of Time' For Xbox Series X|S?
I honestly don’t know if I’ve even played a game with ray tracing yet… I always go for the performance option if there is one.

Re: 8BitDo Is Bringing The 'Greatest Six-Button Controller Ever Made' To Xbox
I wish it was wireless.
Re: Xbox Exec Sends Fans Into A Frenzy With Random Social Media Post
If they somehow manage to get the licenses to release the Marvel and Transformers games from Activision on BC, that would make me very happy.
Also, now that Xbox owns both Bethesda and Activision there should be no problem rereleasing Wolfenstein 2009 as far as licensing goes.
Re: Xbox Game Pass's 'Like A Dragon Gaiden' Will Launch Without English Voiceover
@husker42c Oh, that I can understand, I didn’t think about that aspect.

Who even wants to play these games with english voices?

Re: Pick One: Which Is The Best Bethesda Game Studios RPG?
@Ashadelo Since you enjoy the Elder Scrolls games and Starfield, I would highly recommend the Fallout games. They absolutely have that Bethesda feel to them
Re: Pick One: Which Is The Best Bethesda Game Studios RPG?
1. Skyrim
2. Fallout 4
3. Starfield
4. Oblivion
5. Fallout 3
6. Morrowind
7. Fallout 76
Re: Poll: Based On What You've Played So Far, What Score Would You Give Starfield?
I love it, I’m about 20 hours in and it’s a 9/10 for me so far! Could be a 10/10 if it had better menus, better maps, and ran at 60fps.
Re: Gargoyles Remastered Is A '90s Disney Classic Coming To Xbox This October
I hate the new graphics, so I’m happy they left the option to play with the original 16-bit graphics as well

Nice! I hope they’ll also do Heretic, Hexen, Blood and Shadow Warrior as I never played those but always wanted to
Re: DreamWorks Announces Two New Xbox Games Including A Kart Racer
Wow, this Kart Racer inflation is pretty crazy. Feels like we went from not enough Kart Racers to drowning in them in a very short time.
I always welcome good ones though.
Re: Avowed's Scale Will Be More 'The Outer Worlds' Than 'Skyrim', Says Obsidian
@NEStalgia ”Obsidian doesn't do Bethesda sized maps. They never did.”
Obsidian made Fallout New Vegas, which had a larger map than Bethesda’s Fallout 3.
They are absolutely capable of making expansive and exploration focused games if they want to, and that’s what I hoped that Avowed would be like.
Avowed will most likely still be a fantastic game, but I was really hoping for an Elder Scrolls type of game to make the wait for ES6 a little easier.
Re: 'Sonic Origins Plus' Brings 12 Classic Sonic Titles To Xbox In June 2023
Why would they choose the Game Gear versions over the Master System versions of Sonic 1, 2 and Chaos? 🤔
They are the same games, but the Game Gear versions are very zoomed in, and can get obnoxious to play because of it.

Re: Elden Ring Crowned TGA's 2022 Game Of The Year
