@Fiendish-Beaver I honestly haven’t even heard about BG3 until I saw your post. This probably says a lot about me, but if it were a huge hype I certainly would’ve seen some posts about it. It’s certainly not a Zelda/Hogwarts/Starfield-esque hype.

Anyway, I can’t wait! Really have to put in some more hours into FF16 now to finish it in time.

Really hope they'll add a single player campaign later on. It looks so cool, but I really don't look cooperating with/playing against others.

I'm perfectly fine with the preload being available 2 or 3 days in advance. It gives us plenty of time to install.

I won't be using any of the 3 postponed features, so I'm glad they won't be delaying the release for it.

Can you actually play this without friends? Might be a dumb question, but I never play multiplayers yet this game seems interesting to me.

I've never used the disc drive of my Series X and never bough a game for it. I use it solely for GP and use my PS5 to buy games for (on disc, so I can resell them later) and play blu-rays.

Trying to make some real progress with Final Fantasy XVI (at 63% now) so I can finish it in time for Starfield.

This feels like the nailbiting buildup of a real rocket launch: will it actually leave the platform? I’m stoked beyond words. I’m not even enjoying FF16 at the moment because I’m mainly planning how to finish it before September 1st.

As a big cat lover my hopes were very high, perhaps a bit too high. It was nice but certainly not great. I'm glad I didn't pay for it but didn't have the feeling I was wasting my time either, since it's quite short.

@Casco Definitely agree, one of the best games I ever played. For those who haven’t played it yet: don’t rush through it in the coming two weeks but buy it instead. It’s a game that slowly comes to life and keeps you occupied for 100+ hours.

I’m really curious how this will compare to GT7. I’ve been thinking about rebuying that one, but was left a bit disappointed by the length of the single player campaign last time. I hope FM will be a solid alternative.

@Alteredizzy1010 Don’t know that game. I don’t even have friends/connections on my consoles though so this doesn’t seem to be an option.

@pip_muzz Damn, is it multiplayer only? I was really looking forward to it, but only play singleplayer.

I don’t buy games for my Series X, only for my PS5. My Xbox is solely for Game Pass. If a game releases on both I buy it for PS5 because of the dual sense and when it’s an Xbox exclusive it’s on GP anyway.

After all this media attention I still don't really understand what this will mean for Xbox gamers. I assume Call of Duty will go straight to GP on release day? Is there anything in it for gamers like me that aren't big on war games?

I have both systems but this whole saga doesn’t interest me in the slightest. I just hope it will be over soon because of the media coverage. I don’t think I’ve ever played any of their games.

Hell yeah! Attention is a bit low because it releases a month after Starfield, but this game seems to be everything I’m looking for in a sim racer since GT7 didn’t deliver single player wise.

For me both games are near unplayable because of the clunky controls. Didn’t like them at all and I don’t understand all the praise.

Wow, I'm so glad I already had this feeling a few weeks ago and converted in time. So I have GP Ultimate until June 2026. They won't change that in hindsight, right?

I understand the issue people are having with the Starfield premium package. Personally I’m happily paying € 35 to have a steelbook/something in my collection for such an important game next to the “air” that is GP, the earlier access is a nice bonus. Guess I’m old fashioned

Played the current gen version on PS5 last year, it was so much more fun than I expected. Not even because of nostalgia, it’s just still a damn good game!

@Ep_13 Thanks for explaining. I understand it better now. I think it also has to do with the sort of games you’re playing. The ones you mention are games you probably revisit often whereas I mainly play games with story lines I’m done with after the credits roll, so I delete them afterwards.

@Ep_13 Your choice of course, I still don’t understand why you’d want to have that many games installed though. Like how many of those could you be playing in a few months.

With GP Ultimate and PS Plus Premium I “have” countless games. I just install what I’m about to play in the foreseeable future though.

Never really understood the benefit of having so many games installed at the same time. I never play more than 2 at the same time, mostly only 1. Just to try it out I installed all GP games from my “Play later” list last month. I believe I had around 14 games installed and still had plenty of space left on my Series X.

They might have received good scores back then but my backlog is way too huge to even consider playing 3-4 year old games. That’s not why I bought current-gen consoles.

I haven't read/seen much about Swords and Fairy 7 yet but those screenshots certainly look interesting for a FF fanatic.

Atmosphere wise this looks very interesting but I'm afraid I'm too sensitive for janky controls to be able to enjoy this. Thanks for mentioning this in the review!

@Martsmall It worked! My subscription already was ended automatically after I stopped the recurring billing it seems. I now have bought 36 months of GP Ultimate for € 102.

@Martsmall I cancelled the automatic billing and the date has passed (I can’t access GP anymore). I don’t know if this “pause” is enough though or that I should cancel my subscription altogether.

Is this “stacking 3 years of Gold and turning it into GP Ultimate” thing reliable? It seems tempting but I don’t want to burn € 100 on codes I can’t use.

This is getting ridiculous… I really want to experience this since Death Stranding is one of my alltime favorite games and I haven’t played anything else from the master. But with FF XVI, Starfield, Forza Motorsport and tons of games in my backlog there’s no way I can play this in 2023.

Anyone here that was overwhelmed by the game at first but liked it after a while? I loved the setting/atmosphere but couldn’t get to grips with the menu and map, so I quit probably too soon. After all the positive comments I’m wondering if I should give it a second try though.

I’m totally fine if the big releases get a 2024 release date from now on. With Final Fantasy XVI, Starfield and Forza Motorsport around the corner I won’t have time for any other games this year. After some doubts I’m so glad I bought the Series X.

Sword and Fairy looks beautiful! Will it be as good as it looks?

Hollow Knight on GP! Never thought I’d enjoy this one so much since I’m normally more into AAA games.

@Zoidpilot4 Same. This feels like the one game that was made for me. If it’ll have any weak points I’m convinced I can’t even be bothered by them. I’m just going to enjoy every second of this, turning every stone of every planet.

I really hope this is the game I’ve been waiting for for years. I’ve always only had PlayStations until a few months ago, when I bought a Series X next to my PS5. I kinda liked FH5, but was done with it rather quickly because arcade racers never hold my attention for long.

If this a sim racer like Gran Turismo 7 BUT with actually a solid single player mode I couldn’t be more happy.

@themightyant Yeah, that part is a bit double. I’m glad I’ll have early access but also feel like a beta tester that pays them for that.

Really glad they release a premium upgrade to top off the GP game. This game deserves a place in my collection but it felt strange to buy a game I already own. This steelbook is a nice solution for a decent price.
