I really liked it, even bought a Series X especially for this game. After some 200 hours I was a bit bummed though when I found out all the optional missions are basically repeats, set on a different planet. I’d still like to 100% scan all planets for the sake of exploring everything, but it gets boring after a while.

@cardcrusher29 Thanks! I played them both, but actually they both weren’t really for me. I’m more of a sim racer than an arcade racer. With A Plague Tale the controls felt a bit too clunky for me.

Emptying my PS Plus Premium backlog, since my sub runs out in two months time and I’m not going to renew it. Massively enjoyed (and finished) Demon’s Souls, currently somewhat enjoying Deliver us Mars.

From July on I’ll finally delve into Game Pass on my Series X. As a Xbox newbee I have lots to discover. Already can’t wait to play games such as Diablo IV, Forza Motorsport (if it’s any good yet), both Hellblades, High on Life, Lies of P etc etc etc…

No, my Series X has plenty of space. I never play more than 2 games at a time anyway.

As a PlayStation gamer since my early days I’m new to the Xbox community (because of Starfield) and I love all those cool controller designs to choose from! Despite of the cool color designs they all look a bit plastic-y though, compared to the PS5 dual sense.

I didn’t expect Forza Motorsport to score that high. Is it already a good game by now?

@TJ81 I also unexpectedly loved that game last month. One of the more engaging open world games of this moment.

Demon’s Souls on PS5, such an addictive game. When I wake up I’m already making up my next strategy in my mind.

I’ll be playing solely PS Plus games for the next three months. After my subscription runs out I’ll fire up my Series X again.

Is there any (small) chance Hellblade will be removed from GP? I’ll secure it for this price in that case.

This looks simply stunning! Haven’t played the first game yet, but this is a must play already.

I’m so glad I made use of the glitch for PS5 (€ 19,99 for the trilogy). I still hardly know what I actually bought since I don’t know the series, but these images look seriously impressive for such old games. Atmosphere seems great as well.

Are these MLB games fun to play for people that only know the basic rules of baseball? Also don’t want to learn a million button combinations as in NBA and Madden.

@LX_FENIX Don’t all televisions nowadays carry their own apps? I can download pretty much all streaming services on my Qled.

Never used any app on whatever console. Using the apps on my smart tv with a normal remote is so much easier.

RE3, nice! Wanted to play but not buy that one since it appears to be really short.

I’ll check in again by the end of 2025 or so. I think eventually it will become a good game, but there’s no need to play it instead of GT7 at the moment. That game has way more to offer in their current states.

I tried Persona 5 2 times but couldn’t get through it because of all the dialogue and quirky controls. Is it still recommended to try (I have GP) this one or is it practically the same formula?

Definitely. As a new member to the Xbox family since almost a year the controller is the only thing that doesn’t feel good. It feels so plastic-y compared to PlayStation controllers. Adding haptic feedback would already make a big difference.

Hellblade is “never” gonna leave GP, right? Otherwise I pick it up for this price to be sure I can still play it later this year.

Having only played the old AC games back in the days I always thought Valhalla would be a 6/10 game. I’ll definitely check it out if it’s this good.

The first 6 months are about finishing my PlayStation Plus backlog, since I’m not going to renew it. After that: playing games I bought/will buy and finally discovering what my Game Pass subscription really has to offer (I’m a lifelong PS user turned Xbox).

Based on my sole experience their service is great. When I bought my Series X I ordered a second controller with it, a basic black one. After having played with it for over a week a cool new color came out. I asked them if I could still change it and to my surprise it was no problem. Didn’t even have to pay shipping for returning it.

@theduckofdeath Might be a good thing you waited. Once the DLC comes out the story is still fresh in your mind.

@Fiendish-Beaver Provisional scores are strange anyway. In that case you’d have to wait handing out scores with every game until it fulfills its promise (disregarding if the game or the platform is to blame), otherwise games aren’t treated equally.

If I only checked the review scores I’d never have bought Cyberpunk, to name an extreme example. Or Redfall offering 60fps now.

Elden Ring. I know it’s from last year, but I usually play games in the following year so I handed out the 10/10 in 2023.

Having bought my very first Xbox (Series X). I owned all PlayStations so far, but decided to buy my PS5 a sister so I can play Starfield. Haven’t regretted it.

I think it would be best to exclude them from the main lists but add a special “Remake of the year” category. That way publishers are pushed to innovate but real remake gems still get their place in the spotlights.

Happy with Starfield on 1. That game gets ridiculously much criticism. After more than 250 hours I had to force myself to play some other games as well.

That text about Forza Motorsport though… It’s almost like the writer was in a cynical mood. You can’t be serious about some points.

I’m on a break. I put 250 hours in it and decided to focus on my backlog first before returning in the future. Especially my PS Plus games, since I don’t plan on renewing it next July.

But I’ll definitely return in the near future, probably after new content has been released. Although in the current state I also have lots to partake, since I haven’t even started a new game + or build an airship from the ground. I also have some 800 planets to discover, although I could use some more variety in doing so.

All in all the game is just stunning though. I’m so glad I bought a Series X next to my PS5 for Starfield.

Normally I only buy games for my PS5. The Series X is my Game Pass machine. This year I bought the Starfield upgrade (because of the steelbook) and Dead Space Remake (because it was € 7,99) though.

@BrazillianCara Shutting down the console isn’t linked to quick resume. As long as you don’t shut down the game you can use quick resume after you’re restarted your console.

Don’t use it. It makes my Series X crash too often.

That Dead Space deal is just ridiculous. Bought it even though I have a GP subscription that’s been paid for the next 2,5 years. If it gets removed in the future it will never be this cheap again.

I played it for almost 250 hours and had to force myself to quit and try something different. Amazing game. So glad I bought a Series X for it as a PS user.

And still we get crashes and freezes every session… What do those 250 developers do all day?

@eire-shabba I tried that with (I believe) Tales of Arise, which is quite a fast paced game. Didn’t notice any differences though.

Call me blind, but I just can’t say if a game has 30 or 60fps. Perhaps if I see them side to side, but even then I’m not sure I’d spot the difference. It seems to be a big deal, but I haven’t had any negative experiences with the playability of Starfield.

40% off Diablo IV sounds really good. Until you realize the standard price is € 80...

I just rebought GT7 to have a more interesting single player experience. I’ll check in with FM again after a year or so and hopefully a good game.

Luckily High on life won’t be leaving yet.

That’s a joke. Definitely my game of the year. 200 hours in and still on my first runthrough.
