I really need an outstanding showcase and a fabulous Starfield (that won’t be delayed again). Hate to be negative, but I regret having bought a Series X next to my PS5 4 months ago. Especially I’m so disappointed with Game Pass so far, I just can’t find a game that makes me feel like actually playing current gen.
Starfield and Forza Motorsport could save the day for me though.
Never understood why people need this, the internal storage is huge. Do people actually play more than 2 games at a time? Just because I could I installed all 14 games of my GP backlog on my Series X and I still have 300 gb of free space.
Trying to get a handle on Madden 23. I love the sport but have never played a football game before and I’m not used to the Xbox buttons yet (X = A), which makes it a bit overwhelming. Luckily it has an extensive trial mode.
I’m having a bumpy relationship with my Series X I bought in February but unexpectedly loved Planet of Lana. Will be trying out some more GP titles before FF16 comes out, starting with the Ori’s and possibly a sports game.
I had high hopes for this since I adored Elden Ring and thought that would open up the genre for me. I found it so boring though. The whole setting felt so generic, the fights couldn’t keep my attention and I never got a current gen feeling from the graphics.
After 120 hours I’m in the last Forbidden West mission, so I can finally seriously delve into the Series X with GP ultimate I bought last February. I think I’ll start with Wo Long. Other suggestions are welcome though! This is my first Xbox, so I haven’t played any of the exclusives besides the first Halo last month.
Those excuses are always the same: “we want it to be the best experience possible”. The same goes for developers that actually release their games in time. Just tell us you got your planning wrong, you didn’t oversee the scope of developing a game or whatever. These messages are so lazy.
I’m a bit bummed I bought a Series X in February. So far it’s eating dust while I’m mainly playing on my PS5. Starfield is the main reason I wanted one, together with other big day one releases on GP such as Redfall and Forza Motorsport. As someone who only plays single player (don’t even have or want friends on my consoles) I really do hope the single player mode of Redfall will be very good.
@Kienda Good to hear you’re still enjoying yourself despite taking a step back gaming wise. Also I’m sure the Series X and PS5 will become a lot cheaper second handed now the availability issues are over.
Btw, if you want to game cheap on a future PlayStation, PS Plus Extra has become very interesting as well, especially via the end of year subscription deals.
I really hope Redfall will be a great game. I bought a Series X last February (first time I own a non-PS console after the Super Nintendo), but still find myself playing mostly on my PS5 because the PS Plus catalogue feels much more current gen than Game Pass.
EA Play, absolute no-brainer. Always playing the (almost) newest sports games that are quite expensive versus games you can buy for under 20 euros and are mostly there to fill up some time in between games (which rarely happens anymore since being subscribed to both GP and PS Plus Essential).
@UnusedBabyWipes Haven’t played it yet, but it seems to be miles apart from both soulslike and Far Cry. It looks quite unique, but if I had to make a guessing comparison… maybe Control, but with indeed more of a magical setting?
I’m at 22% on my Series X, which is a lot more than average since I’ve installed that huge Halo 6 games package. I usually don’t have more than 2 games at a time installed; one I’m playing at that moment and a backup for when I’m done with it. I never play 2 games at the same time anyway, so the internal storage is way more than I’ll ever use.
@nofriendo And Immortals is already included in both GP and PS Plus and Rayman in the latter. Just like the others here I really can’t see this becoming a success. I never even buy Ubisoft games, I just wait till they’re on one of the streaming platforms I already pay for.
@NEStalgia I can’t even imagine what this looks like, having never played a baseball game in my life. It sounds so strange indeed.
I would still like to give it a try since it’s on GP, but just as with Madden it feels so overwhelming to start it as an absolute rookie, especially since there’s often so much combinations to learn with sports games.
I’ll be definitely checking this out since Elden Ring turned out to be my all-time favorite game (after hating/sucking at Souls games before). I hope this one is difficult yet doable for a casual gamer if you put the time in it to develop your character, just like ER.

Re: Bethesda's Huge Starfield Direct Gameplay Blowout Was Everything We Wanted
So, so impressed. This just has to be a several hundred hours game if you do all side quests and stuff, right?!
Disappointed with the overall 2023 GP lineup but Starfield and Forza will probably be enough to cover the whole year it seems.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 10-11)
Started The Last Case of Benedict Fox yesterday. Hope it will get better further on, seems a bit generic so far apart from the setting.
Re: Deals: Celebrate The Xbox Games Showcase With 10% Off Game Pass Subs And Gift Cards
So you can just buy a year of GP Ultimate when you’ve got a running subscription with monthly paying?

Re: Diablo 4 Release Date, Release Times & Download Size On Xbox
@Fiendish-Beaver I have the same with the Xbox after having played for decades on PS. I’m constantly pushing A when I see an X.
Re: Xbox's Redfall Drops Out Of US Top Played Charts Less Than A Month After Launch
Definitely going to play it, just not yet. I’ll wait till it’s better.

Re: Starfield's ESRB Rating Appears To Have Been Revealed By Bethesda
I guess this is a positive sign it will actually come out in time? I’m so thrilled for this game, I’m sure it will be magical.
Re: Xbox To Provide Update On Starfield's Frame Rate Ahead Of September Launch
How’s that better? Everything lower than 60fps is a huge failure no matter when it’s announced.
Re: Redfall Dev Says The Team Is 'Continuing To Improve' The Xbox Title
I’ll just play it after FF XVI. I’m sure it will be a lot better by then and it still looks like a fun game to play.
Not a fan of how releasing nowadays works, but with my immense backlog it doesn’t really matter that much.

Nothing, I use my Series X exclusively for GP.

Re: Redfall Raw Gameplay Shows More Authentic Look At Arkane's Xbox Shooter
Nothing wrong with chaotic gameplay. I’m sure being in the midst of a real life vampire outburst would feel quite chaotic as well 😅

No surprise, in the next hour it will be added to PS Plus as well.
