It's time for the weekend! If you're trying to figure out what to play over the next few days, don't forget that we've got the new Xbox Game Pass title Dordogne, four Free Play Days additions including EA Sports PGA Tour, a free Exoprimal beta ahead of its Xbox Game Pass release in July, and a ridiculous number of Xbox Store sales as always!

The main game I'm going to be playing this weekend is the new theme park management title Park Beyond, which just released on Xbox earlier this week. I'm working on a review that'll be live over the next few days on Pure Xbox, and the good news is that I'm enjoying myself with it so far.
Another game that released this week is Crime Boss: Rockay City, and although we couldn't get access ahead of time, the Xbox version is now in our hands. I'm interested to play this one as well — hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised!
Have a good weekend, folks.

I finally booted Resident Evil 4 back up, folks! After getting distracted in late April by the arrival of Dead Island 2, Capcom's incredible remake ended up back on the shelf - until now. Following a quick re-introduction earlier this week, I've got a nice chilled-out Sunday plan of just cracking back on with RE4 Remake and hopefully getting close to finishing it. Finally!
If I have time, I may also attempt to acclimatize myself with Halo Infinite again after a few months away. I'm super excited about the arrival of Season 4, so I better get my Halo playing back up to scratch while we wait, eh?
I hope you enjoy a gaming-filled weekend!

Ahoy folks! At the start of the year I posted my “gaming resolutions” for 2023 and one of them was to finally finish Final Fantasy IX. I’ve started a new game hundreds of times, I own a version of FFIX on every console…honestly I’m baffled that I haven't completed it. So this is it, I’m starting it once again this weekend and I’ma do it. I swear!
Also, I’ll be wrapping up Game Grumps’ Homebody. If you can forgive some clunky camera/movement mechanics, it’s a really tight retro-themed horror game full of charm. I’m digging it!

Would you believe it, Super Jimtendo actually plans to play some Xbox this weekend — I know, what a concept! I will be going to see my family for Father’s Day and that means resuming my NBA 2K23 series with my brother. The actual playoffs might be over, but nothing quite matches the sweaty-palm tension of a randomised best-of-seven match-up.
I’ve also come back to playing Hollow Knight after TOTK took over my life. Yeahhh, I’ll be playing it on the Switch, but it’s on Xbox too, so that counts… right?
