The Price Of Xbox Game Pass Is Officially Getting An Increase Today

Today's the day for the Xbox Game Pass price increase! As announced a couple of weeks ago, July 6th marks the jump from $9.99 to $10.99 for the standard console version of Game Pass, and $14.99 to $16.99 for the "Ultimate" version.

Here's a closer look at the new prices for Xbox Game Pass:

  • Xbox Game Pass (Console) - £8.99 / €10.99 / $10.99
  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - £12.99 / €14.99 / $16.99

These prices are now in effect for new members to the service, although existing Xbox Game Pass members won't see any changes until at least August 13th (September 13th in Germany). Nearly all countries are affected, aside from a few where the "Console" pricing will remain the same (Norway, Chile, Denmark, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia).

If you're only a subscriber to PC Game Pass, you're in luck - the PC version of the service is sticking at the current price of £7.99 / $9.99, and it'll seemingly stay this way for the foreseeable future.

The price of the Xbox Series X will also be going up in various countries beginning August 1st, with the console set to retail at £479.99 in the UK, €549.99 across most of Europe, $649.99 in Canada and $799.99 in Australia.
