Again, absolute joke of a article-which may I add is kind of the running thing on purexbox. I mean I understand writing articles, but the usual articles comparing anything to do with Sony helps this site to get the usual fanboys on here to prop up the comments section. I only recently got onto to Xbox. The one s was my 1st Xbox console & it won’t be my last. Gears,halo & forza will always mean I’ll always have a xbox. I’m currently trying to get my hands on a series x. But it’s time for me to find another ‘Xbox’ site. And I’m not knocking the majority of people on here-who I feel are good. Just that this article & the others on purexbox are just written to get the usual toxic fanboys cluttering up the posts. Anyway-that’s me done for Purexbox now. I doubt this will be noticed by anyone-but if you guys have ever replied to a post of mines, thanks for being polite & accepting of my opinions. Laters!

It’s nice to see this harmony. We are all gamers no need to ‘hate’ on the other sides. If anything opening yourself to other consoles will benefit you more. But you know the few usuals on here will go into meltdown mode. It’s a shame because restricting yourself to just one place(then again I understand if money is the problem) just makes you miss out on gems from the big 3.

@FatalBubbles seems like it’s more of an experience then a game. For me If I did try it, I can see myself being bored with it after a few minutes. But it’s something I would def try if I could try in vr, which would be an incredible experience.

Fantastic scores, but it’s a definite pass for me. As phenomenal as it looks, imo it’s just a tech demo. But hoping people who are excited for it, enjoy it.

Fantastic deal for game pass owners, which imo is the best service in gaming, phenomenal content.

Good to see that Xbox have reversed their decision. The backlash online & from fans really did help them change their minds. Because of all this now, I’m expecting game pass to go up in price, not soon tho, the backlash was relentless over their gold price increase. But again, very good move by Xbox to acknowledge their mistakes.

Lol, I agree with the guy. Should have gone with Xbox one in order. Then the series X should have been called the Xbox X2 and the series S should should have been the Xbox S2

I’m not a fan of bethesda games but I’m a big fan of Indiana Jones. I’m really intrigued by this. It will end up being like a uncharted type of game? Which is brilliant, cause the uncharted games are brilliant.

@Menchi very true. But you have to be careful on here giving facts. The usuals on here will class you as a Sony fanboy & block you. Halo infinite should skip last gen. I’m on the one s, but I’ll hold out from playing it till I get the series x.

The reveal wasn’t that far off from launch so what they showed was more or less what would have been released in the Xbox series x release date. Regardless it wasn’t great what they showed, looking forward to how it shapes up next year.

@eggsbox i suppose the tagline will revert back after the Xbox series x dev kits get used properly by developers. I also saw that on Reddit that there was a post about people who wanted to sue Microsoft for false advertising. Suppose this could be Microsoft covering all bases.

Will def try this on gamepass. Wasn’t a huge fan of 5, but it’s a nice excuse to get back into the game. Will give me a chance to replay it all over again. Also suprised no one has mentioned the ridiculous pricing £14.99(uk)for a 3 hour campaign? Absolute joke.

@eggsbox Microsoft have dropped the most powerful console tag line? Didn’t know that. Regardless the differences are minor, it’s not as if it’s a night & day difference. But with the way Microsoft have been shouting about Powah, I was very suprised with the Ps5 comming out on top slightly on the Digital Foundry comparisons.

But Phil, the toxic fanboys won’t like this........joking aside. The dual sense for me is a absolute game changer, which if I recall correctly, is also what Digital Foundry said about it aswell. For me the dual sense has defined this gen now imo.I’ve just finished playing Miles Morales, & the dual sense adds a next level of immersion. The tech in the dual sense would work fantastically with Gears Of War & Halo. Come to think of it, Forza would be brilliant with it aswell.

@TRU3_100 this is what the toxic fanboys do on here. If you don’t agree with what they say or if you dare criticise Xbox you get called a Sony fanboy & get told to go back to pushsquare. Absolute embarrassment the fanboys here, it makes you wonder why they even bother. Toxic fanboys that get the magic sock out just over a plastic box. Best thing to do is put them all on ignore, it helps you, keeps the threads toxic free & allows open & honest opinions being allowed to be posted.

@Kefka2589 I agree completely with what Phil is saying. Regarding your comment about pushsquare. That’s exactly what happened to me on purexbox. I don’t think one side is worser then the other. Both are equally bad. Gaming should bring everyone together, the more games/experiences the better for everyone. I was always a ps guy, but the one s was my 1st Xbox console & I absolutely love it. Gears is up there as one of my most favourite franchises & backwards compatibility has been amazing for me. Especially being able to play some Xbox 360 gems. There a few fanboys on here, who I have noticed have not commented on the article. Anyway, whatever you play on, enjoy it, life’s to short to be fighting over plastic boxes.

Prior to the series x release it was magic sock time for him. Just enjoy the games, we’re very lucky to have to solid consoles, which will bring their own great games & experiences.

This is what gaming is about. Nice to see that after all the business side to it, that we are all gamers. It’s a reason why I’m always posting about fanboys on here. So it doesn’t surprise me to see that the usual fanboys on here have not left a comment on this post. Which is exactly my problem with them, enjoy the games whatever platform, but don’t discredit rival platforms. Everyone of them have there positives & negatives, but with the Xbox, Sony & Nintendo, they all have fantastic experiences that should be enjoyed by everyone if possible. The one s was my 1st ever Xbox console & im loving the backwards compatibility of it. I’ve always been a PlayStation gamer, but have never owned a Nintendo console. But with the switch the games are really appealing to me, so that will be next for me. Or I may delay getting one till if the rumours are true of a new switch comming out next year.

@Alpha_Pulse that kelticdevil does not appreciate anyone’s opinions other then his own. When I posted criticising Xbox 1st party games(at that time) kelticdevil told me to go back to push square. And again he asked me 3 times within a week if I even had a Xbox, which 3 times before I told him that I did. And then he put me on ignore. I’ve criticised PlayStation a lot on push square & not once have I had anyone telling me to go back to purexbox. Kelticdevil even made a fake account & started posting on pushsquare, ripping into PlayStation. I called it out on the post & he magically disappeared off it. Fanboys exists in both sides,that will always happen. But deluded fanboys, that I don’t understand. And yes, game pass is an amazing value & the best deal in gaming. I wasn’t a fan of games as a service, but signed up after the Bethesda deal. I’m still buying the games, I prefer having physical copy’s of them. I’ve also signed up to ps now, which in my opinion is excellent. But the game pass is a phenomenal amount of value tho. Sorry for the long post-back to the excellent Gears 5 for me.

@Sol4ris you could argue that the dual sense itself is a generational revolutional shift. But regarding the fanboy, any mention of Sony he goes into fanboy mode. Look up most of their posts. They can’t seem to drop a post without mentioning Sony. Any post that praises Sony, the fanboy goes into delusional defence mode. Not bothered really, but also not surprised aswell.

Pretty good reviews all around. I’ve noticed the resident fanboy is upset at eurogamers comment. Makes you laugh really doesn’t it. Anyways, I will be getting a series x, but not till next year. Will be sweet christening the series x with Halo infinite.

@Menchi finished playing 4. At the time,I wasn’t that impressed with it. But after playing it again, I enjoyed it a lot more on the second play through. Also worth mentioning that the hdr implementation on gears 4 is stunning.

@Menchi seeing as none of the usual fanboys have replied to you, makes me believe that because you opened discussion & viewed your own opinion, they have put you on ignore. They do that when someone doesn’t agree in what they say. Regardless, Gears 5 was a awesome game, I’ve been going through all the gears games & it’s my favourite franchise on Xbox.

@Menchi exactly what I thought also. From a few ppl on here, you would assume that series x would be running everything in native 4k easily & running everything at 120fps etc . For a lot of them it was magic sock time. I’m not surprised by the dynamic resolution, there’s more to next gen then just resolution, nice to see the usual fanboy posters on here being told otherwise. Moving forward I’m expecting there to be more dynamic resolution, which if it guarantees a stable frame rate-i’m all for that. Regardless, the upgrades look superb for gears 5.

This is great news. IMO single player games are where Xbox has been lacking. It’ll be funny to see what the fanboys who say that Sony’s one & done games have to say about this. The usuals who spit the same crap that Sony make boring single player games. Will they say the same once Xbox starts releasing there own? Regardless, excellent news.

Great news. I’ve been going through the gears games again slowly, so it’ll be nice to jump on to gears 5 with this update. Nice to see Batista getting some love from the developers aswell.

Gears is the franchise that made me buy a one s(my first ever Xbox console)Fantastic games. I would love to see bluepoint remake all the gears games, they would do a phenomenal job.

Thts great news. I got onto halo late, but it’s an amazing franchise. It’s says upto 4k aswell, so that means dynamic resolution? Anyways fantastic news, I’m currently playing through halo 3 on the one s, so when I do get around to getting a series x, it’ll be great to play them on higher fps.

But but native 4k 60fps & Ray tracing is all that matters............. to fanboys. Hopefully there’s a performance mode. As a choice I would rather 60fps then 30fps, even if that means 1440p for resolution. Not bothered with raytracing either. I’ll like to see how the usual fanboys will spin this news. Funny how there also are a few who seem to only be able to enjoy a game depending on what digital foundry say. I’m hoping this gen gives us more modes for gaming so we can decide what is more important to us.

The initiative are building a great team. For me, Xbox could do with some uncharted/Last of us type games. So the signs are looking good with these hires. Let’s see how the usual fanboys on here will twist this news & complain about them being from Naughty Dogs. Wonder if the usual fanboys would dare even play it?

I think it depends on what your after. For simplicity it’s def the series x method. But for value it will be the ps5 method. With the ps5 ssd there’ll be different 3rd party’s which will make the ssd, that will eventually lead to price drops more consistently. With the series X, has there been any info on 3rd party external ssd? Otherwise the seagate ssd prob won’t have a price drop for a while at least.

@InterceptorAlpha very true. Having an individual opinion opens up more discussion. Not everyone will have the same thoughts, so it’s good to hear all sides, compared to usual fanboy deluded conversations.

Wow that’s fast. As someone who only uses a one s for backward compatibility, when I do eventually get a series x, this will be a great feature for me.

Forza horizon 3 for me, perfect game with awesome dlc content for it.

Really interested to see it. And as for kids games as a design, there’s nothing wrong with them. Design choice wise as long as the gameplay is brilliant I couldn’t care less of how it looks. I mean look at games like what Nintendo make & the brilliant Rachet & clank games. Great games with great design choices.

Playing uncharted 2 on PS4 Pro & call of duty 3 on One S.

Because of the great moves Microsoft have been making, I signed up to game pass. I’m not really a fan of subscriptions, but for value, game pass is a phenomenal service. I will def be playing doom eternal on game pass.

I feel that regardless of what’s been offered as a upgrade for the ps5 version. Spiderman & Miles Morales has essentially been built on PS4 architecture, which imo should be that the spiderman should be offered the free upgrade onto ps5. Absolute joke what Sony are doing, whilst Microsoft & the Witcher developers are offering for free there own upgrades on their games.if you have the base spiderman game on PS4, you would be able to get the enhanced version of it for the PS4. This is just a way to get people to double dip on the game.
