I won’t be getting one on launch. But will definitely be getting one early next year. I was going to get one end of next year, but the moves that Microsoft are making resonate a lot with me. Putting games 1st & giving gamers options.Hopefully everyone that wanted to get one got one👍🏻

Wow, Microsoft flexing them muscles with this. Microsoft’s messaging & planning has been brilliant for this next gen. I’m not a fan of subscriptions, but with the moves Microsoft are making, I’m seriously considering getting onto game pass. Wow

For me Gears 2 is my favourite. I got into the Xbox late(one s was my 1st ever Xbox console) Gears was always the one franchise of Xbox that I wanted to play, but didn’t get around to getting an Xbox. But after playing the gears games, I’m hooked. Forza is the best driving game ever made, halo is great also. But for me Gears is a truly unique game. Great fun, great action just a brilliant franchise altogether. And nothing compares to getting a headshot either. In truth, I’m not a fan of gears 4,5 & judgement. But the original trilogy is amazing. Gears is also the one reason moving forward that I will always have a Xbox now & in the future. Brilliant games.

This is brilliant, only thing is you can’t stop the bots just buying them all up & then being flogged on eBay for absolute joke money.

Currently playing the excellent call of duty 3 on backwards compatibility.

@TheGamerKing yep, their both clowns. I don’t like putting people on ignore, but them two..... it just had to be done. You can’t have a constructive discussion with either of them, and when you call them up on it, they’ll label you a fanboy & tell you to go back to Push Square. Anyways, this is a awesome move by Xbox.

@LtSarge there are over 130 million PS4s sold. Why would Sony not want to cash in on selling them as PS4 games aswell? Thats also a lot of people who may not upgrade to the ps5, so at least PS4 players can play them aswell.

@Z3u5000 I play games that I want to play. I love digital foundry, but I don’t base my gaming preferences on their comparisons. And when they do the comparisons it’s not a night & day difference with the one x & Pro. Your still essentially playing the same game. With the series x & ps5, the series x will run & look better then ps5. But will that mean that I won’t enjoy the same game playing on a ps5? Absolutely ridiculous what you are saying. So your going to wait for the comparisons & do what with it? Also smart delivery is a marketing buzzword. Sony offer the same thing, it’s just that they don’t have a fancy name for it.

@playstation_king very true. How anyone can watch that presentation and find it weak/boring. Hello, did they even watch the Xbox series x game presentation? Sony actually showed games running on a ps5 console, Xbox have not shown series x gameplay? Why is that?

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony drop the price of the PS4 Pro to £249 or less to counter the series s price. Was also nice to see actual gameplay running on a ps5 console. Xbox take note.

I will be getting the ps5 normal. Not really surprised with the pricing. Sony are pushing mostly as a next gen console. Xbox are pushing next gen kinda like there doing is a currant gen moving forward. To different philosophy’s, but great options moving forwards for gamers overall. Would also like to add the miles morales game looked absolutely amazing.

@StonyKL lol. If the series x would be your 1st Xbox console. I would def say to get it, to replay the backwards compatibility games on it will look stunning. For me the one s does that already, but I would def recommend getting a Xbox console buddy👍🏻

@StonyKL the 360 games on Xbox one are gems. Gears & halo collection are truly gaming perfection for me. But then for me, the Xbox one 1st party’s have been mediocre to good. The only great game released on one is forza 4. An absolutely phenomenal game. I’m yet to play Ori, which I’ve heard great things about. For me Gears 5 & halo 5 were let downs. That’s why for me the backward compatibility is fantastic. I’ve been going through the games that I have missed out on(Xbox one s is my 1st ever Xbox console) Thts why for me the series x can wait. I will def be getting a series x in a year or so. Just at the moment I can’t justify paying a lot of money just to play prettier versions of my 360 games. Again that’s just from my point of view. Outside of that, game pass represents fantastic value for so many people.

@BAMozzy at the moment I’m just using my one s for the backwards compatibility. I know that the series x will enhance them better, but personally for me. It’s not worth buying a series x just to play better versions of my 360 games.

@Z3u5000 ok. My brother will do the same as me, wait till the 1st party release proper games in a year or so. At the moment, there’s no reason to get a series x at the moment. It offers great value with game pass, but we won’t be missing out on anything really. My one s & my bro’s one x will play everything that the series x will play. Until next year or so anyway.

@Z3u5000 I understand that. But look at halo infinite. That was supposed to be released in November. No it’s been pushed
till net year because of the backlash. If Xbox didn’t show gameplay till the series x release, Xbox would have still shipped Halo infinite. This is what I meant when I say Xbox and taking their eye of the ball with 1st party games. The whole scenario with Halo Infinite was a mess, I mean Halo is Xbox crown jewel. You wouldn’t imagine Sony doing it to Nathan Drake or Nintendo doing that to Mario or Zelda.

Also I find it crazy that for next gen, Xbox are pushing current gen. I mean, my brother has a one x, for him there’s no point getting a series x. Obviously the series x will look better & run faster, but at the end of the day, they will play the same games.

@TheNewButler I’m meant 1st party games during this currant gen. I agree apart from that everything does look rosey. But for me, I’m not a fan of subscriptions. I’d rather see what the 1st party studios are making & releasing. This is the reason why I won’t be buying a series x on release. My one s will do everything that I need it to do for now. There’s no reason for me to move onto the series x. But when the Xbox 1st party studios do get release games, then I will def get the series x. Only thing that worries me is that Xbox whole push towards game pass, is if most of the Xbox 1st party games will just end up being gaas or a standard campaign, boosted with multiplayer added to it. I’m not a fan of multiplayer games. Again, what Xbox are doing is great, for the people who want that. But for me, I can wait for the 1st party games.

Damage control. If halo infinite wasn’t delayed, Xbox wouldn’t be saying this. This is what I meant when I said that Xbox took their eye off the ball on 1st party games.

Currently I have no plans to get the series x on launch, just waiting for some proper 1st party releases. If I were to get a series x on launch, it’ll just be used to play my great collection of Xbox 360 games.

Replaying Dying Light. Played it originally on the PS4 Pro. Really loved playing it so I thought I’d boot up another play through on the one s. IMHO one of the best games & also one of the most underrated game this gen.

I prefer the series x standing. Don’t like the look of it lying flat. The series s looks better standing.

Backwards compatibility is the only thing i use on the one s. I’ve played a few of Xbox big games & was underwhelmed by them all really. But the backwards compatibility has enable me to play gems like the of gears games, fable,crackdown etc. It’s a big thing for me playing older Xbox games, especially as the one s was my first ever Xbox. Without backwards compatibility, I wouldn’t have brought the one s.

As for me, the series x will be my choice over the series s. But it’ll be a year or so when I do get a series x tho. At the moment I’m just using my one s for playing backwards compatibility games. So a all digital Xbox would be of no use to me.

I like them both. But I wonder for the series s, if it would have been possible to put a faded x logo onto the black fan vent? It would look like the Xbox logo.

Fantastic price for the series s. Really liking the design aswell. It’s the bigger brother of my one s😀. I reckon this will be Xbox biggest seller out of the two that they have. Well played Xbox with that design & price point👍🏻

Good for the people who enjoyed gears 5. Was a letdown for me personally. Graphically gears 5 was spectacular tho. Also funny to see the same people who can’t seem to leave a comment without mentioning Sony. For the same people who love to hate on Sony, they sure do love talking about them.

@Jacko11 Thanks for getting back to me. I’m been going through getting loads of 360 games on the one s. Saw that there was a Witcher 2, wanted to find out if it was good. I really enjoyed Witcher 3, so I was interested to see if part 2 was worth picking up.

Hopefully these options/similar are given for next gen consoles as a standard requirement aswell.

Quality review mate. I tried the one s beta, couldn't get into it. Controls felt off on iron man. I’m also not a fan of gaas either. Graphics wise it was bad, but then some bits were ok & frame rates were dropping bad. But the game will sell loads cause it’s marvel.

Fantastic scores for these fantastic games. Absolutely loved these when they 1st came out. Will be getting this.

@Jacko11 just as expected really. Don’t understand the mentality. I have a PS4 Pro & a Xbox one s. And it’s the second time the same person has asked me if I have a Xbox. Just goes to show how embarrassing people can be.

@Jacko11 very true. Having discussions about both good & bad of what Xbox & Sony do seems to be too difficult for a few people on here. When you do open a dialogue, you get the same people who reply with childish comments. I will always applaud but equally be critical of both Sony & Xbox decisions. I don’t understand the few, who seem to get offended if you dare speak bad over a plastic box.

Game pass represents great value. But Smart delivery is just a buzzword that Xbox have made which practically is the same thing that Sony does regarding upgrading PS4 games to ps5. Difference is that Sony has not made a buzzword for their version of it.
