Re: Xbox CEO Shares Her Three Favourite Games Of All Time, Along With Her Gamertag

To be an intern paid to pad her gaming resume..
Seriously though, she does not have to be a huge gamer to be a good leader. Familiarization and domain understanding is enough, addiction is not a requirement.
Reggie is a great example, as I think he proves it's not about being most active gamer, it's about understanding what you are leading, selling, to whom, and what's the "unique catch" (aka. where your value truly is).

Re: Phil Spencer Announces That He's Retiring From Xbox

So this might not end up being a year of the xbox, brand has been stronger, and nextbox maybe ain't biggest technical leap in the history of console gaming?
On a serious note, never thought Phil was the most competent leader, he was often insincere and manipulative in public messaging.. but at least he had personality.

Re: ROG Xbox Ally X Gets Its First Price Increase, Limited To One Region For Now

@Exerion76 you unfortunately have an unclear understanding of the situation. This is not about regular user protesting and voting with their wallet. As many of RAM chips as can be produced, they are already sold. It's about consumers trying to pay as much as AI bross can, to compete and get scraps to open market. Not buying won't impact producers, they are already maxing out their output.

P.S.
On topic, it's not easy to explain away a 1150USD handheld purchase. What are they thinking, my quite decent desktop PC cost 1050 euro during BF2025 (9060XT 16GB, 32GB DDR5 system).

@Gabrie I find this to be very mature take!
@fatpunkslim whatever MS might say, in practice they are still pushing AI too much, to a point of seriously jeopardizing quality and end user satisfaction with their products and services. By doing so they are risking way more than just money they pumped in, they are risking user confidence which is a long and gruesome process to rebuild.

Re: Five Things I've Learned After Using The ROG Xbox Ally X For Eight Hours Per-Day

Great 3-month review! Very often this is exactly info missing, past initial impressions if and how has device become the part of reviewers day-to-day. Good stuff.
Personally, I also tend to forget these handhelds can genuinely be a usable PC for majority of the users. Not everybody requires a workstation, and for a LOT of workflows they are just as good as a docked laptop.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Won't Announce Starfield For PS5 Until 2026, It's Claimed

Cikajovazmaj

Yeah, don't care. Back when I had XSS I really tried to like this game, but man it wasn't made for humans (rather going through all those menus, loading screens, sub-menus, more loading.. just wasn't fun).
Also, I don't see how it can be fixed through a DLC, it needs to be a different thing entirely to become engaging and interesting.
So, no need to port this one, please port the rest. TY

Re: Xbox President Explains Why Microsoft Ditched Its First-Party Handheld

My one big complaint with Windows in general is how clumsy it is, because it has to support almost infinite number of hardware combinations.
And ROG Xbox Ally is the first step in moving that "experience" into handheld space. So no, I don't think using partner such as Asus was a good idea. Especially if Asus is just going to be one of partners. Keeping platform constrained and internally managed would have been better.

Re: Hideo Kojima Shows Off Xbox Game OD, And It Looks Insane

I'm a bit concerned this is going to end up being another experience for "all gamers" like Netflix branching TV series, or such low interactivity, heavily directed content.
Hopefully not, but high visual fidelity + Unreal 5 suggests slower pace and limited freedom to roam outside of the beaten path.
