As we know already, Microsoft has been talking about the big four of Fable, Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved coming this year for a while now, and on the face of it, all of these games could be slotted in as one of those 'big fall releases' that often fill out the gaming calendar. However, it's looking Forza is the first to blink and miss that window, which leaves the other three — and some potential surprises — to fill out the rest of the year.
We'd expect to see Halo land right on the series' 25th anniversary this November, but what about the other two biggies? Fable is set to be a massive game, so we could see that come later in the year too (what about October?), and as for Gears — should Xbox make it three big months in a row and drop E-Day in September? What an end to the year that would be!
Of course, we've also got the absolutely juggernauts that are Call of Duty (from Microsoft themselves) and GTA 6 planned for next fall as well, and we'll have to see if and how those two titles affect the Xbox lineup. Could COD, Gears and/or Fable come out of Microsoft HQ even earlier this year? Who knows, but it's certainly an exciting time to be following Xbox and its stacked 2026 schedule.
