In recent months, we've heard lots of rumour and speculation about what's next for Starfield - some from Bethesda itself and some from other sources. We've yet to see any official DLC 2 announcement, but now, the Xbox dev has posted a clip celebrating the game's second anniversary - and it's one of the biggest hints at a new expansion yet.
Posted out to social media over the weekend, Bethesda dropped a short anniversary message, adding "we look forward to the adventures yet to come" - a strong hint that Year 3 will bring something major to Starfield. Fans and other outlets have since spotted that the message contains a teaser for something called 'Terran Armada'; a potential follow-up to 2024's Shattered Space expansion.

Of course, this hasn't been confirmed as an official DLC yet, and Bethesda is being particularly cryptic with its message here. Regardless of what exactly Terran Armada could mean, we want to ask you fine folks what you're hoping for during Year 3 of Xbox's big 2023 RPG. What do you want to see from Starfield over the next twelve months or so?
We suspect that those of you who are big Starfield fans want to see more than Year 2, that's for sure. Since Shattered Space launched just about a year after the main game, Bethesda has been very quiet with Starfield. Unlike the run up to Shattered Space which saw lots of meaningful updates in late 2023 / early 2024, the game has been pretty dead since - with minor patches and community creations carrying the experience through most of 2025 so far.
