ROG Xbox Ally X Owner Shares Their 'Quick Review' After Receiving It Two Weeks Early

The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X aren't releasing until October 16th, but it seems a few people have managed to get one early - and Amazon France appears to have been the culprit in a specific case that's getting attention.

Yesterday, the likes of Windows Central reported on someone who had taken to the ROG Ally subreddit to share their "Quick Review" of the ROG Xbox Ally X alongside a picture of the box and the device itself.

They're bizarrely since deleted the Reddit post, but Windows Central captured a look at this "Quick Review":

As you can see, they're impressed with what the ROG Xbox Ally X is offering so far, describing it as a "finished version of the [original] Ally X" with "superb battery life", great sound, impressive performance and a good user interface.

We question why they've since deleted the post, but we think it's because it technically came from someone else - have a look at this other "Quick Review" and tell us if you think it seems overly familiar:

This person obviously hasn't deleted their post and is being much more responsive to questions about the device, so we're inclined to trust them more - but ultimately it's still very early days and everything should be taken with a pinch of salt until we get more plentiful and official reviews.

Who knows how and why this ended up happening - mistakes are easy to make - but hopefully nobody gets in too much trouble for any of it. It's a bummer for Microsoft and Amazon, but at least these early impressions are really good!

We'll leave you with a final example from someone else who also seems to have the ROG Xbox Ally X early...
