@BrilliantBill @sandman89 I'm in the same position there. I need a 4K TV first before getting the Series X. I'm currently using my Xbox One X on my 1080p TV..
As it stands I will likely get the 4K TV by years end which will instantly make my One X enhanced games look better, then by next Christmas (Christmas 2021) I will get the Series X.
The Series S is also a possibility, but I still like to get the odd game physically, and it seems likely that it will be discless...
Series S also only seems like a tempory measure, if I were to get a Series S then 6 months later got a 4K TV I would be then wishing I had the Series X instead to make full use of the TV and other additional features...

Just been trying out Forza Horizon 4 on my mobile, it works very well, no lag at all... I will try it out on my tablet later, it's certainly impressive..

Understandable but disappointing, it's a loss for the launch whichever way you put it...
I'm trying to think of how Microsoft can counter this against Sony, obvious methods are undercutting them on price, promoting Game pass heavily and paying heavily for a timed 3rd party exclusive at launch (A trick straight from Sony's book)....
For me this doesn't matter, but I can't help but think this isn't ideal for Microsoft launching a new console....

Bad news for the launch, what else is there to say... I completely understand not releasing the game before it's ready but the Series X will miss this game not being at the launch..

@KelticDevil Just seen the Blizzard Mountion promo video, it looks great, and the Hot Wheels dlc from the video looks as you say crazy, for that sale price they sure seem good value..

I have this physically but have yet to play it, perhaps I should quickly nab the dlc while I still can...

I'm in the minority here but I prefer white definitely...

Small improvements, it's a case of "if it isn't broken, there is no need to fix it" just slightly refine what you already have..

@BlueOcean Yes, regarding price they both are awaiting and seemingly hoping the other jumps first...
They could have a presentation for the Series S and not announce the price, saying the price will be confirmed shortly or just say it will be competitively priced as an entry point into "Next Gen" with exact details tbc nearer release...
One things for sure, time is running out and someone has to jump first..

Confirming what we mostly all thought, it's still great to see it in the photo's however... I wonder what Microsoft's response will be to this..

I spent nearly an hour the other night listening to the level music for Banjo, nothing like Click Clock Wood all 4 season's on repeat 😀

Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark would certainly be my notable mentions, and Conkers Bad Fur day was good too!!

Gears 5 for me and Pikmin 3 on Wii U, I want to get stuck into Hellblade soon after...

I still need to complete the original campaign, but am looking forward to this...

@flummerfelt Exactly how I felt, I was quite sceptical... However, I got 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate included when I got my console so I sort oh well let's try it out and it's been great since...
A few Xbox One games I really like I have continued to buy physically and I still get Switch games physically where possible, it less it's E-shop only and due to the very real storage limitations...

Glad to see Facebook agree with Xbox to stand up against the big bad Apple!!

Doom Eternal looks great on Xbox One X, a proper Series X upgrade on top of this would be impressive...

@FraserG Certainly seems worth trying out, seems quite different... That's the good thing about Gamepass I'm finding, options to play games you would never consider or even know existed..

Will have to download Darksiders Genesis shortly, Trailmakers looks interesting also...

The plot thickens with the latest update, I still think something is going on behind the scenes...

I picked up up Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 3 even though I own them on Switch... So cheap, you can never have enough Doom....🤣

@StrangeBit An absurd deal, I got it free with Doom Eternal when I got it physically but on it's own that's a bargain.... I have actually played more on Doom 64 than on Eternal...

It looks good, the user interface is already the best when compared to Nintendo and Sony.. This looks like a further step up...

It works, it's now simplier and more inclusive. It matches the plan they have going forwards. Microsoft really are betting big on Gamepass, it will be interesting to see this plays out..

Mostly Switch for me this weekend with the Tetris 99 event and also New Super Luckys Tale, but I will need a racing fix also and with F1 2019 just being added to Gamepass I will be playing that too...
Lastly, I might try to play abit more of Carrion on Xbox, I have enjoyed the small amount I've played it so far...

Started it tonight, map definitely needed, but apart from that a decent game...
