This will not release before midway through 2026 I'm sure, perhaps a 2026 fall release.
It's 3 years away at least from the wording of the statement. Bit disappointed but expected unfortunately.

@Tharsman Yes, probably so. I did think a raise was incoming. It's just the same as when Microsoft announce a release date for a game.. (To be taken with a grain of salt 😅)

As for the Series X price increase, here in the UK it won't make much difference. It's not flying off the shelves and this will only slow it down further, not a good move Microsoft 😒

I'm subscribed up to December 2025 so I'm good for a while yet but didn't Microsoft recently just say they wouldn't increase Gamepass prices as they didn't want to lose momentum 🤔

@Banjo- That's not good, it sounds like you have had quite a bad experience with your PS4. It seems to have had nearly every possible hardware problem going.

That disc ejecting while playing would annoy me no end. I've also had problems with my PS3 controller charging, like with your PS4's.

I also got my PS3 on the cheap 18 months back and have hardly touched it, only really playing The Sly Cooper Collection and Ratchet and Clank on the system. It's now packed away in the cupboard.

With my limited playtime I think I will stick with my Series S and Switch then going forwards. As you say, I can always play the titles on PC if I have the time..

I would like a 9/10 but have some doubts about its performance...
Possibly a few technical hiccups giving it an 8/10 I can see happening, I hope I'm wrong..

@Banjo- You have a PS4, I'm just thinking of getting a PS4 slim as they are pretty cheap now, how has your experience been with the PS4? (As you know I'm a Nintendo/Xbox fan primarily but have an itch to try some GOW, Spiderman and TLOU on the cheap😅)

Looking like it's all beginning to slot into place with no massive game droughts going forwards. (I hope I'm not speaking to soon🤣)

@Syndrome Exactly this, why close them down. Seems like an over reaction to me. They gave us Prey which is a great game too...

I loved the original way back on the N64, very much ahead of it's time in my view. Interested to see how this reboot turns out. (Please be good 👍)

It's about time, I'm amazed the support form third parties has continued this long to be fair. After 2023 however, new releases should really slow to a crawl...

@Banjo- HAHA, I've been on here, but just not saying that much lately.
Regarding Nintendos' next console, I think they likely now grappling with the problems it takes to produce next gen games on time. So they are trying to keep the Switch going for as long as possible 😅

@47AlphaTango Yes, Nintendo seem very quiet. A new system is being redied as we speak it seems. However, one thing we do know is that it will launch after 31st March 2024 as in their latest financial data they have confirmed no hardware is to launch this fiscal year. It will likely launch very soon after this, in my view.

The games don't seem to sell well enough on Xbox, I can't easily see other than offerings of money how the situation will change.

Crysis 2 Remastered and Sunset Overdrive Deluxe edition. That will more than do for me with my current backlog.

Gravel Special Edition is fantastic value for a solid racer. 25+ hours gameplay I've put in to complete the games career mode 100%
At £2.99 for the Special Edition it's a steal.

Just been playing the new Mario Kart DLC and nothing comes close to it. CTR is probably the nearest, it's a great alternative..

Splatoon 3 for the Splatfest and the new Kirby demo ahead of it's release. Xbox wise, some Wreckfest as I have now purchased the additional content with the new cars. Having a great time trying these out currently..

I miss the days of a game being complete upon release. Almost everything needs a day-one patch now. It's what has turned me to go all nearly all digital bar Nintendo first-party games on Switch. I still have to have a physical copy of those...

No Forza release date, unfortunately that drags down the presentation to a C from me.
The presentation itself was well structured and had great style and the gameplay shown was top-notch.

How strange but cool. I think I will try this out. The nostalgia is strong with Tomb Raider so why not..

Luckily I purchased the Digital Deluxe Version with both the Season Passes in the Winter sale. It's a fantastic game for anybody still yet to try it out... A must play for any racing fan really.

@stvevan That's a better bundle idea. Gamepass needs to be promoted more. A console bundle with a subscription to that with some of the best games on the box would be more suitable...

Yes, they need exclusive AAA games and good PR to help them push forwards this generation. The PR as it stands is virtually non existent.

If so even if the dlc is free I can't see a more expensive console bundle flying off the shelves.. 🤔
I understand the added value it brings but surely they could have done something better than this.
