E-Day is still available most places physically so I’ll be waiting for that to drop in price before I dip. There are too many expenses this time of year for me, sadly, especially after pre-ordering Ocarina of Time and Switch Sports Resort.

If the physical copy becomes super rare like XBOX other titles, then I’ll wait til the digital copy is very cheap, even if I have to wait a while. I’m happy to hear it’s a great game and I’m excited to eventually play it.

Starfield was good imo, but it was overhyped and took took resources away from an Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5. It didn't hit the promise of being an infinite space game, but I will say it definitely is good fun if you just play through the story and some side missions.

I’ll probably keep it default but it’s a nice option. I wish there was a way to lower the startup volume. Even with my tv on like 5% volume it just obliterates the speakers so anyone on the same floor hears it. So I just keep it off.

I’m doing it with all my physical games. I also have Halo Campaign evolved arriving in a couple days and I’m debating on preordering Gears E-Day now!

These buy 1 get 1 free deals are always bad. Most the games in these offers usually go on sale for $20 or less.

@Simu001 Yeah I had to watch it a second time and I noticed the character slightly moving left and right. But that’s about it. It’s a nice piece of art but it’s hardly “dynamic”.

I’ll stick with the Split Fiction background, I love the artwork, movement, and “video game” vibes it gives. Plus my girlfriend and I just started the game up. Stoked to play more of it.

Maybe one day I’ll try Stalker 2 but for now there are too many other games on my plate.

I have most of these titles on Ubisoft Connect already. Since my Ubisoft account is connected to my XBOX account, will I be receiving them on my XBOX as well? Or does it only work for new purchases? If so… that’s kinda lame to only entitle new customers to this.

I bought Black Ops 3 with Zombie Chronicles just so I can play some nostalgic Zombies with my friend and brother when they're over. Otherwise, I'll be sticking to my backlog for now. Only other recent pickup for me was my physical copy of Splatoon Raiders.

Man, I just bought PGA Tour 2K25 on Steam like 10 days ago but can't refund it now since I've put well over 2 hours into it. I was deciding between PC or console, and if I knew it would randomly turn into a play anywhere title, I would have purchased it on the XBOX app.

Oh well. Gotta take an L every now and then. Hope others are able to make good use of this addition.

@NishimaruX I agree with this take. I know a couple of people that pirate games and one is very upset PlayStation isn’t bringing anymore titles to PC. Like… why would PS bring their games to a platform where they only get 70% of the money from sales, plus nearly half the people either play the game for free through Steam family sharing or piracy?

I’ll get it eventually but I’ll wait a bit probably. I like GTA but I’m more of a mild fan. Plus, there’s no true physical copy. I’d rather wait for the PC release at that point. Or a huge discount on the console version. Ocarina of Time will probably be my big holiday release.

@Pigrotto Not the best time to buy one but that’s sweet of you for doing that for your nephew. I see reasonably priced used Series X’s on marketplace, hopefully you can find a decent deal there.

I got lucky and got a near mint condition Halo Infinite Series X used in early 2022 for $500. Been rocking it ever since.

With console prices out of control and now having a powerful PC, I’m probably never buying another console again other than maybe whatever Nintendo console comes after the Switch 2.

Gaming industry has been crashing before our very eyes and continues to crash more. I’m probably never buying another console again with the way prices have been going.

Thankfully I have a 4K PC. Whenever that begins to show its age, I’ll just downgrade my monitor to a 1440p OLED or something. Gaming and PC hardware is just too f’d.

It looks insanely cool but I have the Halo edition Series X already, which I like more anyway. But this existing is a cool throwback to the original limited edition system.

I don’t know what level I am but I’m in the snow section of the map lol. I’m trying to find time to play more and I do a lot of side content. Game is incredible.

Awesome. I bought the double remaster pack last month for $5 (well, $10 but I used some rewards points). The description said that version was getting updated for Series X soon I’m glad to get the confirmation it’s free.

Tbh I don’t really know how much more it can be improved but I’ll take it lol.

I’ll be getting it later in the year. It looks good, there are just too many games I have to play currently to justify another $70 purchase… especially with Horizon 6 in a few days!

This is good to me. I don’t prefer game franchises try to reinvent themselves, at least when it takes a long time between main series entries. Some game franchises decide to try drastically new things that REPLACE pre-existing content and forget what made the gameplay and game design great in the first place.

Having a more fleshed out open world, improved single-player progression, better visuals, more cars, and a few new additional features like Rush events to try is exactly what I wanted.

I've had a 3 month code that came with the laptop on standby for a few months now. I'm finally using the code the day the game drops. Very excited!

Horizon 4 was actually my least favorite but maybe I need to revisit it. Horizon 3 is easily my pick. Australia was awesome to drive around and had the most diverse map imo. The progression also just felt great, too. But I love all the titles. There’s really no wrong pick.

I like it. Nothing crazy, but marks a new era and seems nice. Definitely has more personality than the current startup.

Playground optimization wizardry at its finest. Even on Series S, 1080p60 with some of the most modern and impressive visuals and open world to date is solid. Even if it looks a little blurry, just raise the sharpness value on your tv or monitor a bit.

I’m playing on PC cause I have 3 months of PC gamepass I’ve been saving. But nice to hear the console versions should look and run very well.

Idk, mostly 8/10's seems like solid scores to me for something that isn't supposed to be this genre-defining open world game. Looking forward to this!

It’s a decent game but super overrated imo. BO6 has much better maps, gameplay, graphics, and a more engaging (but sillier) campaign.

That said, it’s crazy they are drip feeding these CoD games on gamepass.

This has been an awesome year for games so far, especially for Capcom. Like the comments above me… I just wish I had more time to play games!

It’s a fun game in short spurts but can get very repetitive. It’s priced accordingly. It’s a good time with a couple friends and it’s always nice to have some more silly fun games like this come to Xbox.

I'm a little conflicted and concerned. But we have some good games to look forward to this year so I'll stay glass half full for now. The next couple of years will be very interesting.

It was music to my ears hearing this. Starting out as “the superstar” in 4 and 5 just felt lame. It was less “progression” focused and more just join events for fun and whatever happens, happens. Which was still fun, but the older system of gradually going up in rank was WAY better imo.

I won’t be watching live but I’ll probably skim through it at nighttime on my 4K tv. I’m insanely excited to see Forza Horizon 6. Fable I’m interested in. Beast of Reincarnation is more of just a “let’s see what GameFreak can do” type of game to me.

Forza Horizon 6 is the big one for me. I am looking forward to hearing more about Fable, too. I'm also interested in seeing what Beast of Reincarnation is about, despite not being "excited" for the game.

I heard rumors that the surprise game might be a new Spyro, which would make me INSANELY happy. But I'm not expecting that lol

Not saying Outlaws is incredible, but it’s a very fun game and was very underrated imo. And of course, Resident Evil Village is a great game. Solid additions despite not having GamePass myself anymore lol.

Just to play and finish more games in general. I had a very busy and productive 2025, but it also brought a lot of stress and I feel like I didn’t give myself enough “me” time. There were also some major issues with my house and some health things that ate up a lot of time. So yes, just give myself more time to relax, game, read, etc.

I just finished Pokemon Legends ZA and have a big backlog to jump into!

I tried GT Sport and GT7 and just couldn’t get into them. The UI felt so archaic, lifeless and clunky. I didn’t like the story mode progression. The lack of voice acting felt cheap. The game was way too grindy. I didn’t vibe with the controls. The HUD elements took up like half the screen. And for some reason, the visuals never really popped on my TV.

Forza MotorSport was a bit underwhelming but at felt way better to me. It’s nice to see PlayStation still supporting their games, though.

I’ll just buy it when it’s dirt cheap. There are too many things going on in my life atm anyway.

If the disc version got updated I would. Instead I’ll get it on PC or PS5 whenever I want to try the game again.

Memes aside, I do think this will be the actual release date. 2025 felt too soon, and the May date just felt like a weird time to release the game, plus idk it just felt like they would need like another 5-6 months.

But who knows. Maybe it’ll get another 20 times and we’ll finally play it in 2040!

Been a long time but I remember it being great. Not as strong as the original trilogy but I thought it was just as good, if not better, than Reach. But it came out back when I was entering high school and I’m 28 now, so I need to replay it to give a better answer!

I’m always wrong with this stuff but my prediction is:

Spring: Fable
Summer: Halo
Early Fall: Forza Horizon 6
Fall/Holiday: Gears

Regardless, this is a killer lineup for XBOX and what the Series X|S needed since 2020.
