Thank goodness a popular group of people are finally publicizing this. It’s been like this since I got my console close to 2 years ago and most others online seem to have the same problem, too. Seemed like 95% or more people using Atmos experienced this. It was a really frustrating thing to diagnose and I ended up just using the standard sound in the end.

Atmos sounds good but the audio delay is just not worth the artful latency. Hopefully things finally get fixed.

I don’t have any reason to play cloud gaming with noticeable latency and fuzzier images when I’m someone who already likes tech and has a machine capable of much better picture quality with barely any latency at all.

I get the idea of using it for on-the-go gaming but I barely do that and when I do, my Switch is more than enough for that.

Shame it took this long to arrive. I just ordered the Spider-Man edition PS5 alongside a physical copy of Stray. I waited over a year to play this so I can wait another 3 weeks at this point lol.

Happy it’s on multiple platforms now, though!

With my collection of physical 360, One, and Series games… yeah I need a disc drive. I even occasionally use it as an UHD DVD player.

I bought Vanguard for $20 and MW2 for $50 last year as my first CoD games since the mid-360 era. I actually enjoyed Vanguard but MW2... it was difficult to even hop into a game due to the cluttered menu shoving battle passes, micro-transactions, and ads down your throat.

Plus they made some modes rotate in-and-out like gun game. I paid for this game, I shouldn't only have access to certain game modes "every now and then".

Huge fall from grace for me and I have zero interest in this new game, especially with their lack of gameplay shown. No wonder people are more excited about the servers working for the older titles than this new game.

@Kaloudz @Cikajovazmaj @somnambulance Thanks for the responses. I’ll definitely play the first one before the second. They’re both on GamePass anyway and the first one doesn’t seem particularly long on HowLongToBeat. I’ll start it right after I beat Halo Infinite’s campaign 😎

Haven’t played the Ori games yet and never tried this Game Club things so maybe I’ll join in on this one. Is it okay to play Will of the Wisps before The Blind Forest?

Not much gaming for me Friday or Saturday as I’m with the family down the shore celebrating my moms birthday. No complaining.

But when I get back Sunday, I wanna knock out Sonic 3 & Knuckles in the Origins Collection. Once I do that I’ll have 100% of the achievements for that compilation. I might try to knockout A Short Hike as well.

If I still have time after them, I’ll finally start the campaign for Halo Infinite lol.

@AJM59 I heard great things about A Short Hike. The DS-looking visuals seem intriguing and I heard it’s a nice quick play through. I’ll probably knock it out this weekend!

Not live here in the US yet (at least for me) but they’ll probs show up within the next 24 hours. I also still haven’t received the new dashboard update, not that I care much about that lol.

Didn’t even know this game existed until a couple months ago but it looks really solid. I’m excited for it to drop on GamePass.

I downloaded Retro Arch a while back but only opened it once and never played a game on it. It’s not even installed anymore so hopefully my account isn’t banned lol. I haven’t been “accessing these emulators” anymore so I suppose I’m fine.

They didn’t go out with a bang but it’s a solid offering imo. Blue Fire has been on my bucket list and the drifting games looks neat to try.

I’m not able to play it as I’m away this weekend but I’ve been hearing great things from everyone so far. Definitely picking it up, just going to wait til it’s $50 or cheaper.

I’m sad I missed out on the Halo edition console (was saving up for a home at the time) but I’m fine with the standard Series X I got when I was finally in the market for one.

But no, I wouldn’t buy a new one for cosmetics or, for the time being, more power.

I bought Celeste on my Switch many years ago. I thought it was a ton of fun but actually never beat it. Seems like a good time to start it again, especially with achievements baked in.

Series X: I’ll try Exoprimal and want to start Need for Speed Unbound. I’m also working my way through the story mode in Sonic Origins Plus.

Switch: Mario Kart 8 online with my boy Wiggler. I’m also about to wrap up Bowser’s Fury. After that, I’m jumping back into Breath of the Wild. I never beat it when it came out back in 2017 so I’m playing through it again now and enjoying it a lot more.

PC: Just a bit of Crab Champions. My brother gifted it to me the other day and I played it with him and his buddies. I’m terrible at it but it’s pretty fun.

I’ll try it with my S9 that’s buried in my drawer. Haven’t used it since I got my iPhone but who knows, maybe when it’s done charging I’ll be eligible lol.

Edit: Damn, by the time my phone charged enough and I checked it said 100% of them have been claimed. I don’t have a wallet account and my S9 is probs too old for the offer so it’s probably no loss.

This is separate from the Black Panther game with Captain America in it that was announced last year, right? Lot of super hero games to look forward too.

Nah, but if in the future I get toward the end of the year with extra vacation days, I'd consider it. But I use my PTO days for trips or sick days.

There are so many good games that came out within the past 6 months and a lot to look forward to. I was going to make a list but it would be way too large for a single comment lol.

Lol I just bought the enhanced physical copy for $10 a couple months ago. Guess I don’t need to throw the disc in to start it now.

I’m probably going to get a PS5 later this year for Spider-Man 2, plus a lot of the other exclusives I’ve missed out on like Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Ratchet and Clank, etc.

A $400 slim model (with a disc-drive, or at least a detachable one) would probably sell me. That said, I’ll still probably get most third-party titles on my Series X. XBOX controllers are still my favorite to use.

Gonna be honest… I thought the game was a snooze-fest. I usually like dungeon-like games but I played about a quarter of it and stopped because I simply didn’t have a single minute of fun with it.

It may be behind PS5 by a substantial amount, but 22 million is still a great number or units sold in 2 and half years.

As others said, I think Starfield will push a lot of units this holiday season.

Glad it’s coming but sad to hear it won’t be on gamepass. I’ll wait for it to hit $20 or cheaper.

Damn, was really looking forward to this coming out within the next year or two. Something is up with the way Microsoft manages their studios. I know this stuff happens in the game industry, but it's been happening consistently with a lot of XBOX's studios.

I completely forgot about Age of Empires 4 releasing on console 😅

So that, Forza, and Starfield will be my games this fall. All 3 of those titles are huge time-sinks as well so that’s all I’ll need.

There are other games I’m interested in but I’ll wait for them to get cheaper. Stoked for Forza!

I didn’t watch it but getting Neon White, Sea of Stars, and Another Crab’s Trash is awesome. Those were all on my wish list.

I don’t get it but it probably won’t be an issue. My only gripe is if I go to play one day and the servers are down or under maintenance. That’s happened a few times with other titles and it’s really frustrating.

Maybe it’s because I went in expecting very little but I thought it was great. Avatar looks decent. Star Wars Outlaws, barring the AI, looks like it has a lot of potential. The Crew MotorSport taking place in Oahu is awesome. Assassin’s Creed Mirage looked like a surprisingly solid return to form after the previous few entries. I even thought Prince of Persia looked like a fun 2D-combat platformer.

I didn’t care at all about the anime or the Skull and Bones song but everything around it was… surprisingly solid imo.

It looked pretty good to me. Love the setting too as I just got back from visiting my friend in Oahu a couple months ago.

This and Forza MotorSport will keep me super busy in terms of racing games.

I actually thought it was pretty underwhelming. Most of the games we either already new about or we barely saw much of. I’m also curious why they’re so secretive about showing a lot of Forza. We saw like a minute worth of gameplay and upgrade screens.

Will say, Starfield did look terrific. I’m stoked for that, Forza, and Cities Skylines 2… all games we already knew about tho 😂

@Kienda Horizon 3 is my favorite. Then 5. Then 4. It’s been far too long since I’ve played 1 and 2 but I remember enjoying them a lot as well. They’re all terrific games.

All the Crash and Spyro games would be great. I’d also like to play The Simpsons Videogame as that was a fun one with a couple of my neighborhood friends growing up. Oh, and the first 4 Forza Motorsports.

I’m sure there are many others but those are the few that popped in my head initially.

Whew, got lucky (for now). Assassin’s Creed Origins and the Ninja Gaiden games are next in my backlog so I’m happy to see they are staying for now.

Bridge Constructor Portal is also in my backlog but I bought it on Steam a couple months ago for like $1 not even knowing it was on gamepass. I guess this worked out for me 😂

@grumpypotato Really hope we have the ability to turn off film grain and pick a high frame rate mode. I haven’t played a Metal Gear game before (besides the demo for Snake Eater 3D back in like 2012 on my 3DS) so I’m pretty excited for this remake!

Perfect timing for Cassette Beasts to drop. My roommate is moving out of my place today so I’ll finally have my TV all to myself again. I love old-school Pokémon experiences with twists so I’ll probably start playing it tonight.

@Wheatly Well said. I remember saying this a few weeks back on another site and got downvoted to oblivion. I think some people are so obsessed with game preservation and collecting that they forget or don't bother to fact-check all the game releases and their many patches, updates, DLC, etc.

Of course there are still some games that release fully done on the disc or cartridge. But that’s such a small amount now that stating one or two examples doesn’t prove anything.

I'll have to check out Trackmania and Omega Strikers. Both seem like silly fun.

I’m going to wait a bit to get Street Fighter 6 and Super Mega Baseball 4. The only game I might pick up next month is the physical copy of Sonic Origins Plus.

Yup. I finished the Hot Wheels DLC a couple weeks ago and I’m currently playing the Rally Adventure expansion. Once I’m done that I’ll probably be done for a while, though.
