If they pull it off, then Fable could be a GOTY contender. One of my biggest gripes with open world games, is the world and it's people not feeling important and this looks to make them the star of the show

I was hoping for a couple of playable demos to tide us over.

Fable being Fall 2026 makes me wonder if Gears is being delayed to 2027. They’d naturally want to avoid November because GTA6 so that leaves Fable for September and CoD for October.

Fable looks really promising. Playground Games is absolutely delivering, and for a first open‑world RPG, it’s incredible.

And Forza horizon 6 looks very cool too

Fable being on PS5 day one proves once and for all that Microsoft is never gonna make exclusive games ever again, not even timed exclusives. This isn't a remake of an old game, nor is it a niche game like Kiln. It's a tentpole fully brand new AAA title, and it's releasing on PS5 day-ane-date. A bit of a shame that the one game that might've convinced people to buy an Xbox is multiplatform, but it is what it is. Microsoft made their bed, and they can't not sit in it now.

I thought that and I know we knew it, but that is final. Xbox are a publisher first and foremost now. Which is cool.
Just add Halo and Gears also which they are doing PS5.

@Questionable_Duck Yeah, I was wrong — I didn’t expect it to launch day one on PS5. But honestly, it feels like a bad idea, because that’s some people and media are going to talk about instead of the actual game itself.

Strategically, I think it’s a mistake from Xbox, even if the Xbox ecosystem still keeps the advantage with Play Anywhere and day‑one Game Pass.

But anyway, closing that parenthesis — I really can’t wait to play it, and I’m glad everyone will get to enjoy it.

Excited to watch this tonight in 4K on my TV when I’m home. Forza, Fable, and a Double Fine game… all good stuff!!

Especially Fable looked great! And so did the other games.

What I noticed though: Nothing announced day and date on Switch 2 (yet). That’s a slight pity though.

@fatpunkslim I agree, I think even a few months of exclusivity would have been better for the game. When Microsoft announces a game for PlayStation day-one, everyone talks about it being a PlayStation game and not an Xbox game.

But at least the game looks better than I expected. I'll probably sub to Ultimate for a month when it does come out.

Also appreciate that you were willing to admit that you were wrong about this. So many people on the Internet refuse to admit that they were wrong about predictions or claims they make, and they just pretend like they never said anything instead.

Good looking games. If they don't end up on NS2, I'll give them a whirl on Xbox.

If Fable makes it in 2026, I will be very happy. The lack of a firm release date is slighly concering, but I will wait until the Summer showcase to reserve judgment.

There are certain ''things'' that have no place in a heroic fantasy game.
