Talking Point: How Do You Feel About Halo: Campaign Evolved Launching Day One On PS5?

Well, there we have it - Halo: Campaign Evolved is coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2026. However, with Microsoft's new multiplatform strategy, the game is also coming to PlayStation 5 next year, along with PC of course. With that being said, how do you feel about the new Halo remake launching day and date on PS5?

This really is new territory for Xbox, isn't it? Sure, Gears of War: Reloaded did the same thing back in August, but that was more of a basic remaster from Gears: Ultimate Edition - and it was also just Gears. Something about Halo moving over — Xbox's most iconic franchise — makes this latest port announcement just feel different.

Having said that, Microsoft appears to be taking a different approach depending on whether it's an entirely new Xbox Game Studios title or not, at least for now. Forza Horizon 6which is also coming in 2026 — has a period of console exclusivity on Xbox, before eventually moving over to PS5 later down the line. Whether Halo: Campaign Evolved being a remake has factored in here we're not 100% sure - but either way, Halo's PS5 version is launching the exact same day as Xbox.

This certainly feels like a bit of a new dawn for Xbox then, but, how do you feel about it? Are you fine with Master Chief popping up on PS5 next year - day and date with a new Xbox release? Or, would you prefer Xbox to delay this PS5 version beyond its Xbox and PC release similar to FH6?
