Two Huge Games Are Available This Week With Xbox Game Pass (August 26-28)

I've been waiting for Veilguard! Didn't start any long game because of it. I have no nostalgia nor love for Origins and 2 and Inquisition are some of my favorite games so I think I'll enjoy it.

Ya know the amount of crap people continue to spew re: Veilguard, I can't help but chuckle at...So I'm only at Neve's relic quest part 2 (around 6hrs in) and while no where near the masterpiece that Origins is, it's certainly the best sequel atm 🙂

Looking forward to starting dragon age looks like a fun game to play I'm going to start as a rogue looks like the most fun to play!

@Kezelpaso Still think the Day One add from last week, Herdling, didn’t get much of any coverage here, particularly last week when I don’t think there was any GamePass story that included its release.

That’s sad because it’s a very well-reviewed game and deservedly so. Hope people are giving it a chance.

I’m one of the few people who still hasn’t played Gears of War yet so I’ll be playing Reloaded sometime soon.

I beat Veilgard months ago. I actually had a good time with it, and enjoyed the combat and many of the quests. I bought it and felt i got my moneys worth, so ppl who play it free on GP are in for a treat

@Altaria_97 Same here. I've been playing on Xbox since 2008, but I never really got into that series. Maybe I'll give it a shot again.

@awp69 This was just down to it being Gamescom week unfortunately. The day before it launched Xbox did some surprise XGP drops so we didn't cover it thinking there might be more - and then the week got away from us.
We'll see if anything crops up for it this week that's worth covering, glad folks are enjoying it though!

I thought veilguard sucked

Seems like a big week for Gamepass. I really can’t keep up to all the games arriving… just trying Sea of Stars before it leaves….

I'm an open guy but i HATE people slapping my face and force me to get "the right idea to think".
Gears of war reloaded for me!!!!

I enjoyed the Veilguard for about 40 hours but to be honest it started to drag. The gameplay loop just isn't varied enough to sustain the epic runtime. But I am planning to go back to it after a break.

Definitely worth a try as it's good fun and (imo) looks great.

Apparently, there's a lot of woke stuff that players are force fed but there was nothing that I found to be worth getting irate about.

@awp69 Herdling was a beautiful little game. I got 100% in about 3 hours and had a great time naming and decorating my Calicorns. I really loved the ending.

Having played and enjoyed the other DA games, I've been waiting for Veilguard to join ea play, so that's been on my list, but games like Herdling are why I love game pass.

Veilguard is trash and GOW is 19 years old. What am I missing here?

@Scrubchub That is my experience too. I'm taking a break after nearly 50 hours. The game has been just fine, not amazing but good enough to play that long. But I'm just burnt out on it, the run time is just too long for the repetitive battling.

Beat Gear 1 so many times but haven't finished any of the others, but seems it's about time i did 🤣👍
