shelve it. the series ran its course so much it’s not even funny; it had spinoffs, an excellent prequel , an excellent trilogy with a conclusive ending , and even halo 4 had a conclusive ending. everything that could possibly be done with halo has been done. The MCC is excellent too, but, again, this series is done lore wise - gameplay wise, it’s old and past its prime.

now if bungie decided to make another halo instead of the talentless “halo studios” , then maaaybe a new game wouldn’t hurt 😆

wait, now that i think about it, marathon and destiny are mid; so never mind, just shelve halo, lol.

@smoreon didn’t the gamecube already start the trend of alienating core fans though? It had a quirky & awkward controller that was primarily designed around one game (Melee) along with also having odd button placement and missing buttons, the gamecube controller was not good for most games; the cube also uses small discs so a ton of games skipped it & nintendos own games had to be significantly compressed. There was also no online for the console and the handle on the back of the console was a nuisance & made the console look like a kids lunchbox. The starfox games became a pretty mediocre platformer, kirby was reduced to a forgettable racing game, etc

What i’m saying is, i believe that particular criticism can go both ways…and the wii had many bangers.

i have two wired xbox360 hyperkin controllers. haven’t had to worry about stick drift or any batteries or battery related issues.

@Fiendish-Beaver that’s an amazing & beautiful story. You definitely had a peak gears of war experience, far better than any regular gamer like myself.

@Fiendish-Beaver I'm a fan. love Gears of war 1-3. Used to love 3 the most, but Gears of War 2 is just the pinnacle and quintessential representation of the series, imo.

@Arkz agreed. in the end that’s all it’s about. They’ve got a hefty price out of me with their drift sense controllers over the years, but not anymore. now it’s mostly PC + third party hall stick controller for me

@Arkz well i can’t argue with that reason. sony controllers generally are garbage with battery life, admittedly. the DS3 was the only good one , and ever since they added that ***** touchpad and lightbar it’s been downhill.

• The dualshock 3 and 4 were good, especially the dualshock 3, so maybe you're only talking about the dualsense, because the dualshock 3 was a monster and still is. The dualshock 3s battery life lasts ages.

• good for you. i said its good to have options. i like wired controllers, but can use it wirelessly too, more options are always good. you can always ignore the options you dont like. this is why i gave xbox props, because of the options they usually offer.

gears trilogy is also a must, just dont touch judgement

any other games that made me love xbox in the past have went multiplat later on, so...

so maybe this explains why i was completely turned off from the game several months ago & uninstalled it from steam. the players were extremely sweaty and toxic & only the halo 3 playlists were populated.

hopefully i can try again , ill find out if it was cheaters or if it was just a skill issue

lol, the poll results are funny. but yet it’s a con/issue when $ony does it. But on the flip side, it’s great and much better that Xbox allows OPTIONS for BOTH types, Xbox was always good at giving users choices instead of just having to use their console one way

the look of the older cod games look much better imo. the grittiness, the dirtyness, the blurry but strong attention to details and color choice make the real modern warfare games look much more appealling. nowadays they all look cartoony, detail-less and clean, especially treyarch games

@ZYDIO As a Spiderman fan that's played almost all the games, I agree, man. I played Web of Shadows for the first time way back in 2016, which was much later after it came out, so my expectations were freaking high according to all the praise people lied about with it. When I finally got to playing it, to say that I was underwhelmed would be an understatement!

Also, it's funny that it's considered "rare", since all I had to do was go to my local gamestop to find a used copy, haha.
