Report: Halo 2 & 3 Remakes Are In 'Active Development' At Halo Studios

Some of you may remember that right around the official announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved in 2025, a rumour was going around that Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes were set to arrive sometime after this year's Combat Evolved remake - and now a fresh report from Rebs Gaming adds even more fuel to that fire.

According to the well-known Halo reporter, "the Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are definitely happening". Rebs goes on to say that "active development is underway" on these titles, although that's apparently "early development" at this time.

"One of my new sources sent me proof to verify themself and confirm that the Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are definitely happening. Active development is underway; they are in early development."

The reporter doesn't give us a hint at any sort of timeline for these future remakes, but we of course know that Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to mark the series' 25th anniversary this year - launching in Summer 2026 if the rumours are to be believed. If the other two remakes also land on 25th anniversary years, those could be 2029 and 2032 respectively, although that's just conjecture from us for now!

On that note - this is all reported information at present, and at this time, Microsoft has only confirmed Halo: Campaign Evolved, aside from mentioning that multiple projects were in the works when unveiling the Halo Studios rebrand in 2024. We'll include a link to the Rebs Gaming YouTube report down below so you can have a look at it for yourselves!

Thoughts on this, folks? Let us know what you'd want from these Halo remakes down in the comments.
