Re: Talking Point: After Halo: Campaign Evolved, What Do You Want Xbox To Do With The Series?

nomither6

shelve it. the series ran its course so much it’s not even funny; it had spinoffs, an excellent prequel , an excellent trilogy with a conclusive ending , and even halo 4 had a conclusive ending. everything that could possibly be done with halo has been done. The MCC is excellent too, but, again, this series is done lore wise - gameplay wise, it’s old and past its prime.

now if bungie decided to make another halo instead of the talentless “halo studios” , then maaaybe a new game wouldn’t hurt 😆

wait, now that i think about it, marathon and destiny are mid; so never mind, just shelve halo, lol.

Re: Xbox Leadership Issues Massive Statement On The Future Of The Brand

@smoreon didn’t the gamecube already start the trend of alienating core fans though? It had a quirky & awkward controller that was primarily designed around one game (Melee) along with also having odd button placement and missing buttons, the gamecube controller was not good for most games; the cube also uses small discs so a ton of games skipped it & nintendos own games had to be significantly compressed. There was also no online for the console and the handle on the back of the console was a nuisance & made the console look like a kids lunchbox. The starfox games became a pretty mediocre platformer, kirby was reduced to a forgettable racing game, etc

What i’m saying is, i believe that particular criticism can go both ways…and the wii had many bangers.

Re: Xbox Offers Free Rechargeable Batteries To Fans Affected By Recent Controller Shipping Issue

@Arkz "Sony's rechargeable controller lasts about 6 hours max and gets worse and worse over the years."

  • The dualshock 3 and 4 were good, especially the dualshock 3, so maybe you're only talking about the dualsense, because the dualshock 3 was a monster and still is. The dualshock 3s battery life lasts ages.

"My Xbox pads last about 20 hours on rechargeables AAs, and when they're low its a quick swap out instead of needing a cable attached to charge it. "

  • good for you. i said its good to have options. i like wired controllers, but can use it wirelessly too, more options are always good. you can always ignore the options you dont like. this is why i gave xbox props, because of the options they usually offer.

"People don't hate rechargeable batteries, they hate terrible battery life."

  • not true. theres plenty of people that have criticized rechargeable only controllers from $ony strictly because they were rechargeable. thats a broad generalization. not all have, but its still a lot of people that do.

"Funny you think Xbox gives you choices instead of having to use it their way, how are those rip off SSD expansion cards working out for people? "

  • I dont know

Re: Talking Point: What Should Xbox Call Its 'Project Helix' Console?

nothing will beat “xbox 360”. they really put themselves in a hole with that name. i’m sorry, but every xbox name after that just sounds awkward or dumb

xbox360 was a badass name but a curse as well

xbox 1, 2, 3 etc would have been so safe and good, but people would’ve confused xbox 2 as being a gen behind the ps3 so here we are

Re: The 10 Most Wanted Backwards Compatibility Games According To 'Xbox Game Preservation'

@ZYDIO As a Spiderman fan that's played almost all the games, I agree, man. I played Web of Shadows for the first time way back in 2016, which was much later after it came out, so my expectations were freaking high according to all the praise people lied about with it. When I finally got to playing it, to say that I was underwhelmed would be an understatement!

Also, it's funny that it's considered "rare", since all I had to do was go to my local gamestop to find a used copy, haha.

Re: Is It Worth Buying An Xbox One In 2026?

@Fiendish-Beaver I fully believe that the PCbox will outsell and be more popular than the steam machine; if they go the route of making a pc box then there’s even more incentive to own an “xbox” console. Xbox doesn’t have to outsell its contemporaries, it just has to break even. We all wish that Xbox were in its heyday again like the Xbox360, but that doesn’t mean its retired either.

Can you honestly really see a world with just Nintendo & Sony around as console options ? No way; i sure can’t

Re: Is It Worth Buying An Xbox One In 2026?

@Fiendish-Beaver There will always be a reason for the Xbox console for the reason that you for-mentioned - streamlined/simplicity. That, plus if someone prefers the Xbox controller and user experience. Microsoft plays the long game instead of waiting for quick results. while it may seem like they’re fizzling out of the gaming space , they pretty much own it. And as long as they own it, they’ll never go the way of sega for example. The Xbox console is protected by MS pockets & investments.
