Rumour: Xbox To Release Halo: Campaign Evolved In July 2026, Early Access Included

There's been a lot of speculation this year already about when the big four Xbox first-party games will release — we already know about Forza Horizon 6 on May 19th, but what about Halo, Fable and Gears?

Well, we might be getting closer to an answer on Halo: Campaign Evolved, as a new rumour suggests the game will be coming out on July 28th, 2026, with an early access period taking place from July 23rd.

The rumour has been gaining traction courtesy of a Halo social media account called grunt.api:

We've come across another mention of July 23rd elsewhere as well. A post on the official Halo Reddit page mentioned two days ago that the date had been spotted as part of a "pre-demand survey" from a Korean retailer, and that "the game passed the rating review by the Korea Game Rating and Administration Committee" after that survey.

Still, the date is obviously just rumour for now, and who knows whether it's on the money or not, but it makes sense — Xbox still has Fable to come in the fall, not to mention Gears of War: E-Day at some point in 2026, and there's the little matter of GTA 6's launch in November that needs to be avoided as well.

Perhaps we'll get an official date from Microsoft at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026? Not long to go now!
