@somnambulance yeah I hear you. I just hate that not every hour is the best in such long games sometimes. It makes me indecisive, because if I start a long game willy nilly, I’m booked up for such a long time. I do really hate when I put a bunch of time into a game and don’t finish it.

@BattleMonkey me too, but if that’s a requirement I place on myself, I’ll play far fewer games, and continue playing games I’ve lost interest in at the expense of playing others

@themightyant I don’t know. I still thought it was fine. I don’t care if npcs move around 😂 and most of the complaints seemed to be of that type of nature. But I also am not aware of what was changed in post. I finished it, and then I was done and didn’t bother keeping up with changes.

@themightyant same here with stalker!!! That really annoyed me. And that one definitely wasn’t ready day 1!

@Master_Cthulhu70 it’s one of the few this difficult year I started, played consistently, and finished!! I enjoyed it. I was ready to be done by the end (the game also seemed ready to be done lol), but there was never really a time I didn’t have fun

@somnambulance beating games is overrated. I’ve started just playing games til I quit, whether I finish or quit deliberately or accidentally quit and don’t come back.

That said, I have a habit of getting to the end of games and then stopping. That is a little frustrating…

I loved Octopath 2, but yes… it took me like three months. That’s not reasonable.

Tough decision whether to buy it or wait and see if it goes game pass. I would have bought Octo 2 at release if it had been on Xbox. But when it finally did get there it was on game pass.

@themightyant I 100% agree. But I did play this day 1, and it was fine and ready. Not that it isn’t a bummer that it now has a bunch more stuff.

I don’t know why I ever bother playing new games. I guess because the opposite is worse, when they leave game pass and I haven’t played them yet (not that this one would)

I enjoyed the Banishers trial but really struggled to get into the combat. Maybe I should give it another go (or try easy mode), but that part just felt tacked on and not fun.

It took until now for stalker 2 to even work properly and now it’s leaving. Assuming it even works yet. “Day one” games aren’t always the best.

Partly marketing and propaganda and silliness to get your hopes up for “promises”. Stop reading previews and just judge a game when it’s out, with no hype.

I hope he can pull it off. I’ve loved many of his games over the years, mostly in the 80s and 90s

This is really the only logical path forward for Xbox. Meanwhile PlayStation will do the same thing they did all over again, and Nintendo already has their hardware in place. It’ll be three very different ecosystems (with many of the same games, until switch 2 again inevitably lags behind)

I was miffed when pacific drive didn’t launch on Xbox too. Worth it for waiting for game pass tho.

Why do rpgs always have to become non-rpgs? RPG elements in every action game now and rpg elements removed from every rpg.

@Friendly it wasn’t on Xbox til now. So it’s a day one release… even tho it’s been out for a year or so elsewhere. Happy to play it either way and glad I didn’t buy it on anything else.

The amount of catastrophising on here is hilarious.

The discounts on dlc were bad anyway. Maybe this will allow publishers to offer better discounts since game pass isn’t offering a poor blanket discount.

I did cancel my auto renew, for one, but I plan to seek out some discount codes.
