We're always tracking the new free demos being added to the Xbox / Microsoft Store, and to be honest there hasn't been that much to talk about recently, but we've now got two huge free demos that have just been added this week.
On Tuesday, Square Enix treated us to a brand-new demo for the upcoming action-RPG The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, which features the opening chapter of the game complete with save data that can transfer to the final release (set to arrive on Xbox in June).
And then today, we were emailed about a new demo for the anime-style racing game called Screamer, which features a unique mechanic where you use the two analog sticks to drift. There was a lot of hype around this game at launch, and the reviews have been pretty good overall, so we're excited to try the free demo for ourselves.
Before we highlight these two demos though, let's take a look at a few others that have been added to the Xbox Store in recent weeks — some we've covered already, and some that we haven't:
- Bubsy 4D Demo (April 22)
- FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH DEMO (April 28)
- Gladio Mori Demo (April 28)
- Into the Slimy Mines Demo (May 13)
- Hyperwired Demo (May 15)
- Rune Dice Demo (May 19)
Right, let's take a closer look at these two huge free Xbox demos from this week:
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Demo (Xbox Series X|S, PC)
Carry your save data over to the full version of the game in this new prologue demo! Enjoy the opening chapter of the story with the same freedom of adventure as in the full game. Progress in the main quest, explore the unknown, or hunt down new weapons and magicite—the future is up to you. Your adventure in Philabieldia, a world filled with discovery, starts here!
Screamer Demo (Xbox Series X|S, PC)
Access the demo of Screamer and experience the early events of the Tournament. Take your first laps in Neo Rey through single and team races, bringing all the intensity of the Echo System to the track. Please note: Only certain modes, characters, and tracks are accessible. Save data from this demo cannot be transferred to the full version of the game.
