Arguably the biggest new Xbox release this week is Square Enix's The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, and while we've still got a few days until its June 18th release, the first review has officially arrived for it.

This is coming from the Japanese outlet Famitsu, which has given the game a 34/40 rating. We haven't found a transcript of the review itself yet, but the score has been doing the rounds on social media.

Here's one version of it from Genki on X/Twitter:

For those wondering why there are four scores that combine for a total of 34, it's because Famitsu apparently gets four people to share their verdicts for each game - hence the 8/10, 9/10, 9/10 and 8/10.

The same issue saw 007 First Light getting an extremely impressive combined score of 37/40.

If you're interested in playing The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, don't forget there's already a free demo for the game on the Xbox Store, and your progress will carry over to the full version on June 18th. Pre-orders are also available on the Xbox Store for £54.99 / $59.99, and the game is an Xbox Play Anywhere title too.

A brand-new action RPG from the creators of OCTOPATH TRAVELER and BRAVELY DEFAULT – The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales combines stunning HD-2D visuals and exciting action-adventure gameplay for the first time!
