I enjoyed the Banishers trial but really struggled to get into the combat. Maybe I should give it another go (or try easy mode), but that part just felt tacked on and not fun.

It took until now for stalker 2 to even work properly and now it’s leaving. Assuming it even works yet. “Day one” games aren’t always the best.

Partly marketing and propaganda and silliness to get your hopes up for “promises”. Stop reading previews and just judge a game when it’s out, with no hype.

This is really the only logical path forward for Xbox. Meanwhile PlayStation will do the same thing they did all over again, and Nintendo already has their hardware in place. It’ll be three very different ecosystems (with many of the same games, until switch 2 again inevitably lags behind)

@Friendly it wasn’t on Xbox til now. So it’s a day one release… even tho it’s been out for a year or so elsewhere. Happy to play it either way and glad I didn’t buy it on anything else.

The amount of catastrophising on here is hilarious.

The discounts on dlc were bad anyway. Maybe this will allow publishers to offer better discounts since game pass isn’t offering a poor blanket discount.

I did cancel my auto renew, for one, but I plan to seek out some discount codes.

Whenever I hear AAA, I think tepid garbage that tries to appeal to everyone in its watered-down gameplay design and graphically overpriced style, while pleasing no one.

I want games with lower budgets, worse graphics, and more creativity that isn't watered down to appeal to "everyone". AAA graphics and the idea that a game needs to sell 10 million copies to break even are killing the industry.

The Sierra games are great. I just wish the console had keyboard and mouse support. It doesn't run on my PC (black screen).

Kind of sad to delay a mostly-digital release just for physical stuff, but I guess they have no choice.

Either way, I'll be happy to see it whenever it comes out.

Agreed on Lost Odyssey. I wonder why he didn't mention Shadowrun with the other FASA stuff. I guess the recent Shadowrun stuff wasn't first-party, but Microsoft still owns console rights.

Shocked to be somewhat interested in all of these, but I wish they were on console too. My PC is not what it used to be.

@Kaloudz I mean it's a turn-based RPG with a storyline and rock/paper/scissors combat that is way more compelling than it sounds. I really loved the demo but never took the plunge. I will on Xbox (although I might wait until it's not $5 more than the PS and Switch versions, cause wtf)
