Back at the start of the week, we highlighted the initial top 10 requests from fans in the new XBOX Player Voice program. The lineup has changed since then, and one of the new top 10 requests has just been implemented by Xbox!
Sitting in ninth place in the list yesterday was a request to change how playtime is calculated on Xbox consoles — switching it from days to total hours. A message on the XBOX Player Voice website confirms this has now been added, and that it's starting with Alpha Xbox Insider members before rolling out to the wider public.
"Great news! We've added this. Play time will be displayed in total hours instead of days, starting today on console for select XBOX Insiders, with a broader rollout to additional Insiders over time and PC support coming soon. Thanks for the feedback that helped shape this experience!"
Xbox's Jason Ronald then took to social media to thank fans for helping ship the "first new feature" from the program:
Of course, this isn't a massive new addition by any means, but it was in the top 10 requests earlier today, and it's pretty impressive that they've managed to implement it within less than a week of XBOX Player Voice even existing!
Will they be able to keep this kind of pace going? That remains to be seen, but it does prove that they're definitely taking these suggestions seriously, so it's well worth submitting your suggestions and upvotes if you're interested in something specific.
Keep 'em coming, Team Xbox!
