@InterceptorAlpha The free stuff was in the first 20 levels.

They reworked the entire battle pass thing. It might seem sucky but believe it or not free players actually get MORE out of it than before. They bundled multiples of things into a single tier thank GOD.

Example, a green weapon coating for AR/BR/shotgun/sniper rifle would have taken up 4 separate tiers before now they take up 1.
A blue armor coating for 6 different cores would take up SIX whole tiers now they take up 1.
Shoulder pads would take up TWO tiers. One for left shoulder and one for right. Now, thankfully it's only 1 tier for a pair of shoulder pads or kneepads.

So theres actually more stuff AND they've front loaded all the free stuff in the first 20 tiers. So if you're a free only player you get all the free stuff first. AND they've bundled premium stuff inside the new free tiers together so if you actually buy the pass those tiers aren't wasted.

I'm not simping for Halo infinite. There's a LOT that this game does wrong. Oh my God the store prices are shocking right now. And there's a insane lack of BTB maps among other things but the one thing they do well is the season pass. Its the only thing I will defend of the game right now.

Increasing prices by 30% because they enabled the ability to have helmets and colours on all armour cores is actually insane and totally unjustifiable. No, it's NOT better value now that you have removed your arbitrary forced restriction to begin with.

How inept and out of touch do you even need to be to rationalize this thinking?

It's got a ton of ugly post processing visual effects you can't turn off unfortunately.

There's volumetric fog EVERYWHERE. I get that it's "moody" and "atmospheric" but what's the point in all the amazing detailed levels and environments when you just fill the screen with a thick fog masking all the detail.

Depth of field, MSXAAAAA screen blur etc etc
The only graphical option is to turn off motion blur. That's it. A shame really. Cus it could be a nice looking game under all the visual noise.

Bought one of these devices last year to use my PS3 and Wii fight sticks on my Series X.

I play street fighter and soul caliber among a half dozen other fighting games. This is just typical anti consumer greedy nonsense by Microsoft. Every month MS get worse and worse.

I don't expect they'll overturn this. I don't think for a second they give a *****. And it's sickening. My fight sticks are useless now and my usb dongle is worthless now too.

@pip_muzz are you serious? Controller is basically broken. The game LOCKS ON if you shoot anywhere near an enemy. And you'll land every single hit. And get 50% accuracy at least.

With mouse you get completely stomped on by controller players in 1v1 fights as youll struggle to land every shot against a strafing player where controller players will land every shot automatically

Poor indie company Microsoft must be struggling for cash and so won't be hosting our captures on the cloud anymore.

They're okay with increasing the cost of my Gamepass subscription though.

Not a huge fan of Survival modes. Like Streets of Rage 4 survival mode. I don't really see the point.

You have to sit through the first boring easy Waves 1-20 for 15 minutes until it starts to get challenging. Then you eventually get overwhelmed and die.

And.... what? Is that it? What's the point? They don't end. You can't win. What's the purpose? I'd rather just another pack of main campaign levels.

@DTfeartheBEARD I love gyro myself. There's some sort of Xbox controller add on that supposedly adds gyro support but I haven't gotten around to buying it yet.

There's a few questionable changes like nerfing the railgun in single player which is a bit of a head scratcher but the positive changes vastly vastly outweigh the bad ones.

This is essential and quite possibly the definitive Q2 experience. Good stuff.

And there's FOURTEEN rows of advertising. FOURTEEN. FOUR AND TEN!

Left for no. Simple, easy, fast. Entire team gets to vote on whether it's used and used correctly.

@Dramlin You've probably only played the Payload final mission. Which bored me too. And "Dino cull" regular mission types.

But there's, Energy Hammer, Area Defence, Vortexer Sabotage, NPC Escort missions (lol), Energy Taker big PvP mission, A/B/C point pvp control missions.

And the games best *****... 10 player Neo-saur battles. I honestly would urge you to at the very least play up to the 10-player Neo T-Rex battle before you decide whether to move onto something else! You have to play it!

I think you only should need about 20-25 matches to get to that point. Just make sure to keep clicking all the ! story tabs to move it along (I skipped every single cutscene lol)

@Dramlin you won't have access to all the games modes and game types until at least 10+ hours. They bafflingly tied that to the games, ahem, "story".

It's actually pretty good but it needs some QoL updates and definitely some new modes.

There's a new PVE end game mode coming in like 1-2 weeks. But there needs to be something like a PVP team death match.

And the dinosaur mechanic should have to be a team vote to activate it rather that one random person on your team. It's so vital that it be used at the right time having one player in a 5-team game use it whenever they want makes no sense.

I'll pay the extra £2 a month but I'm not happy about it.

I have no faith in any game that's in development hell by western devs.

Vsync will 100% be on so as to not have the image tear because all they care about are the pretty visuals. So it will have tons of input lag and won't feel great.

And motion blur is hideous it's always the first thing I turn off in games.
