This has been easily the worst console generation ever. The industry refuses to let go of last gen. We have PS4 and Xbox One games coming out in 2025, 5 years into this console gen.

The Unreal-ening of the gaming industry is its downfall.

Every game made in Unreal is the same ugly, washed out greyish sludge with its same preset default lighting engine. You can tell a game is running on UE INSTANTLY with 1 second of gameplay footage. And it sucks. The performance is terrible too. And games only suffer from using it.

Almost every big game to date is a big fat dud. Whatever the way games are developed now it must be some by the numbers cookie cutter system because there's no passion, creativity or anything anymore.

These basic generic titles with massively bloated budgets and dev time lead to 7/10 games.
