We saw a few surprise announcements for Xbox following the Nintendo Direct earlier today, including Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance which is heading to the platform this June, and a new Star Wars collection arriving on March 14th.

Seeing as it's just a few weeks away, let's take a look at the Star Wars one - which is known as Star Wars: Battlefront - Classic Collection. This is a repackaging of the first two games in the Star Wars Battlefront series, which are already available via backwards compatibility, but the big difference this time is the addition of 64-player online support.

"Fight in iconic battles from across the STAR WARS™ galaxy. Play the classic STAR WARS Battlefront games on modern consoles, online and offline in this complete classic collection."

Some of the other new features in this Classic Collection include an expanded version of the Hero Assault mode, which is playable across more maps than ever, along with the inclusion of bonus maps for both games (Jabba's Palace in the first, and Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena in the second).

If you're interested, the Star Wars: Battlefront - Classic Collection is available to pre-order today on the Xbox Store with a 10% discount, bringing it down to £26.31 / $31.49. We'll try and bring you a review in a few weeks' time!

Excited for this? Still playing the originals via backwards compatibility? Let us know in the comments.
