@BAMozzy You also have to account the amount of hackers are on the older CoD games and if it's safe for a person to play without exposing their info to these hackers.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) I will be Continuing Indy's adventures this weekend. I am really enjoying this game alot it really nails the Indy vibe definitely my GotY for 2024.
World of Warcraft (PC) Started a new character on the classic servers and what a breath of fresh air it is from retail. It reminds me alot of why I fell in love with WoW in the first place.
After playing this game for a few hours it seems that this reviewer is not a fan of this kind of gameplay, which is fine. It seems that maybe because of the first person view the reviewer was thinking it would be more like Doom 2017, the more recent Wolfenstein games or even GoldenEye.
I also noticed that this reveiwer tends to write alot of articles about Call of Duty and XDefiant so given that its seesm that their favorite genre are FPS games which Indy is not.
Indy is Bethesda game true and true something like Fallout where yeah theres missions but the joy comes from exploring the world. Also Indy is not a gun guy yeah there's a few scenes in the movies where he uses a gun (and I am not counting on the sword man scene in Raiders where that was adlib by Harrison Ford due to him being sick) but for the most part he also tries to think his way through a situation before resorting to a gun.
Anyway I give props to the review to post his truthful thoughts and feeling and honestly I dont think he was wrong, or purposely trying to give a bad review of the game its just didnt mesh with his type of game style. It would be like asking me to review the latest Forza Motorsport game which I would score low because I am not a big fan of that game play.
@FraserG I understand that you may have limited reviewers to review games and this isnt a knock against you or the reviewer of this game, I am not going to pretend to know how you select your reviewers or even if you have others (Sorry if that came out wrong but I am not sure how big of a staff you have) nor do I care about the meta score of the game but would be interested in another opinion of this game. Perhaps maybe by someone who likes more open world games like Fallout, Skyrim etc. Again not sure if the author isnt a fan of those games just an observation.
Sorry for the long comment this is just somethings I thought of after seeing everyones hate for this review and how different this author's score was to everyone elses. No disrespect to you or the author from me and maybe I am completely wrong but this is just my observations. Keep up the good work both you and the author of the review and don't let the people get you down.
Got the Ultimate Edition this past summer when it first went on sale. While it's true that there are plenty of discs out there, you won't be able to get any of the DLC once it's delisted.
@Banjo- She was the main mod back in the early days of Nintendo Life and eventually here and Push Square when those sites came around. Not quite sure what happened to her she just kinda disappeared.
@Banjo- While DreamlandGem is great I wouldn't say she's the best. The would be TheBlackDragon. I could only imagine how this place would be if both of them were around at the same time.
@FraserG I know in the US Mountain Dew is running a promotion with Xbox and for buying Mountain, Doritios or Rockstar energy drink you get codes for points to use on their website. One of the things you can get with the points is Xbox Game Pass trial but it's for new users only. Still if your someone who drinks Mountain Dew or Rockstar or eats Doritos it might be worth looking into. I was able to get to 1200 points with just six of the 20 ounce bottles.
@Nightcrawler71 Is the game installed on your Xbox now? Cause if it is it won't download anything new. If it isn't you can just stop the download and as long as it's in your library you can download it at anytime. Even after it being delisted.
Stardew Valley (PC) Picked it up as part of the Steam sale for $10 so I will be starting a farm there.
Black Ops 6 (Series X) Double Xp Weekend so my buds want to do some MP and Zombies.
River City Girls (PS4) I started this awhile ago but never finished it. I am still in a beat em up mood so I will be dusting off the PS4 and playing this one with my son.
1) Call of Duty is not a military Sim it's an arcade shooter so people can't argue that it's unrealistic. Yeah this from people who go around a map bunny hopping and sliding around on their arses like it's ice.
2) Don't want goof skins well easy salutation, let your wallet do the talking. Don't buy them. The only reason they do it is because of how much money they make if they didn't make that much money they wouldn't have them.
Players: I don't want goofy skins
Activision: But we just came out with this furry dragon skin, a weed outfit skin and a anime girl skin.
Player: Shut up and take my money!!!
I try not to play long games because I just don't have time for them anymore. RPGs are my favorite genre but I don't have the time for a 100+ hour RPG.
With that said I tend play games like XDefiant, Forza Horizon or beat em ups. Something that I can play for an hour or two and feel satisfied playing a game rather then feeling I got nothing accomplished because a game is 100+ hours.
And this is why social platforms like Twitter, Facebook etc are just bad and a waste of time. Every idiot thinks and uses it as there own social platform to say whatever they want and make a big deal out of something that isn't. Lighten up people it was a joke.
TMNT Shredder's Revenge (Series X) Picked up the Ultimate Edition on sale, so I will be checking out all the post launch content. Still one of my favorite beat em Ups
World of Warcraft (PC) Still messing around with Alts.
CoD: Black Ops 6 (Series X) Will be checking out the new MP maps with the boys that dropped with season one update.
Sadly the Xbox One era memory for me was bow it made me go back to Playstation after they botched their E3 presentation. I loved the 360 but when the Xbox One was shown off with Kinect, was original planned with the always online and games you couldn't share plus being $100 more, I went and got a PS4.
Years later I got an Xbox One when my friend sold me his when he upgraded to the One X and it impressed me how they tried to come back with stuff like Gamepass and Backwards compatibility but by then most of the third party games I played on PS4 already and there weren't many exclusives that I wanted to play so I mainly used it to resist my 360 library.
The one game that would have got me to buy an Xbox One early on Scalebound (who remembers that?) they ended up canceling.
@NintendoByNature How does that run/look on Series X. I thought I remember reading that it was buggy and just overall a bad port when it first came out. Has it improved?
Always enjoyed the original Spyro Trilogy especially the first game. In fact I enjoyed that game even more then Super Mario 64 and Crash back in the day.
I actually own the Remasters having bought them a few years ago on PS4 and Switch and play through them every so often. As Remasters go these are some of the best it shows that they took their time and didn't just shove something out with a Remaster on it.
This is to be expected, after all Microsoft is a software company first and foremost they never were in the console business. The only reason they started Xbox was because at the time PC gaming was niche and to expensive and alot of big games skipped PC or were crappy ports. The original Xbox was nothing more then an introductory PC to get PCs in the living room and for gamers to play the games. They have accomplished that. They wanted to bring the PC out of the office and into the living room to be a fully functional entertainment hub.
If Xbox did stop making consoles, I would more then likely just stick with PC then as I am not big on the way Sony runs their company and Nintendo is good just not powerful enouugh to run some of the games I like to play, of course it will be interesting to see what the next Nintendo console brings.
As for Xbox all the haters are going to be saying oh this will be end of end of Xbox but as long as their studios like Bethesda, Activision/Blizzard, still make games they aint going anywhere. Exclusives are a thing of the past we are all gamers who cares what device we play on.
It's no surprise after all Microsoft is a software company to begin with and that's all games are software. It cracks me up seeing people say that they aren't going to buy an Xbox anymore and just switch to PC. So does that mean they are going to get a Mac? Cause Microsofts games are just like Windows.
@BAMozzy More then likely this will be an added as an off shoot to Overwatch once the limited time event is over. It's just like what Blizzard did with World of Warcraft.
A co-worker of mine is currently playing Throne and Liberty and he said for a free MMO is pretty damn good. He's trying to get me to play but my current MMO space is taken up by WoW.
Gears for me. While I can appreciate the story the game play just isn't for me. Forza Motorsport series. I am not a big fan of racing Sims, prefer the more arcade style like Horizon.
World of Warcraft (PC) After 10 years I finally got my judgement armor set for my Paladin! Other then that I will be doing more of the anniversary stuff and achievement hunting.
Borderlands 3 (Series X) Going to be continuing this with my son. Still enjoying it.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (Series X) With the addition of Nuketown I couldn't say no to my favorite Multiplayer map and since its on Gamepass it wont cost me as much as it would buying the game just for a few rounds of Nuketown.

Re: Poll: What Is Your Xbox Game Of The Year For 2024?
Indiana Jones easily for my top choice.
Re: Yes, The Outer Worlds 2 Is Another Xbox-Developed Game Heading To PS5
It makes sense since the first one was multiplatform. Sony should take notes.
Re: Mafia: The Old Country Tells Its Origin Story On Xbox In Summer 2025
Can't wait for this one, probably the game I am most excited about for 2025. Loved the Mafia games.
Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Revives Legendary Series On Xbox In Summer 2025
This is the style of Ninja Gaiden I remember. For some reason I could never get into the modern ones.
Re: Xbox Countdown Sale 2024 Now Live, 1000+ Deals Included

Re: Here's Your First Look At Borderlands 4 Gameplay Ahead Of 2025 Xbox Release

Re: Path Of Exile 2 Has Quickly Become One Of The 'Top Paid' Games On Xbox
I can wait till it goes free. I am currently tied up with Indiana Jones and after that I have a few games to finish.

Re: Fortnite Is Adding A Whole New 5v5 FPS Mode On Xbox This Week
Lol a 5v5 mode. Didn't they see with XDefiant that CoD has the 5v5 gamespace monopolize? That mode will be dead with in six months.
Re: PSA: Xbox's Forza Horizon 4 Will Be Delisted In Less Than One Week
Got the Ultimate Edition this past summer when it first went on sale. While it's true that there are plenty of discs out there, you won't be able to get any of the DLC once it's delisted.
Re: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Is Now Available On Xbox Game Pass (December 9)
Will be checking it out tonight after work and tomorrow since I am off. Can't wait to play it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 7-8)
XDefiant (Series X) With news of the inevitable shutdown I figured I enjoy the game while I can.
World of Warcraft (PC) After a short break from the game I got the itch to return to it.
Other then that I am not really playing anything much so that way I have time for Indiana Jones in a few days when it comes out.

I could have sworn Little Kitty Big City was already on Gamepass. I know I played it and got all the achievements for it.
Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Knows How Annoying The Forza Horizon 4 Situation Is
There are a few ways this can be avoided.
When developing the game they make some sort of forever contract with the car manufacturers.
They renew said contract with manufacturers
They just stop using real cars and just use generic cars like the GTA series does.

World of Warcraft (PC) Doing anniversary stuff and working on a few alts.
Stardew Valley (Series X) With the new patch I decided to start a new farm with my son.
Black Ops 6 (Series X) Might jump on for a few rounds of multiplayer with the boys.

@uberdaddypig I wouldn't say the Souls series is an Xbox franchise, they are multiplatform.
