Re: Talking Point: How Much Time Have You Spent Gaming On Xbox Consoles This Year?

Tasuki

I'd say probably about 80%. Series X is where I play most of my Co-op games both couch and online plus new releases like Borderlands 4, Avowed and multiplatform games. I do have a Switch which I am trying to use more often mainly for exclusives, the NSO Library and single player games that I can just chill and play at night before bed like Dragon Quest XI S.

I do have a decent gaming laptop but I dont use it to much for gaming except for PC exclusives games like WoW, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and mods for Fallout like Fallout London.

But yeah this year its mostly been Series X.

Re: Poll: What Is Your Xbox Game Of The Year For 2025?

Tasuki

@BrownOwl Yep and just as I thought Clair Obscur is running away with it. This is why award shows are b.s. It clouds people's judgement and they are too afraid to go against the grain then. They just want to be cool and jump on that band wagon. As I said too many sheep.

Re: Poll: What Is Your Xbox Game Of The Year For 2025?

Tasuki

@Balaam_ I had that same problem with Tony Hawk 3+4. Dont get me wrong it was one of my most anticipated games this year but growing up and playing the original on PS2 I just couldnt play it on the Series X and it was the controller. Normally I prefer the Xbox controller over Sony's but for that game it just felt bad. I had to get the game on PS4 since I dont own a PS5. Once I did everything felt.good again and I was able to pull off combos and such without any problems.

Re: One Game In Particular Deserved Way More Love At The Game Awards 2025

Tasuki

Awards like these are always popularity contests. It doesn't matter if its the Oscars, the Grammys, or Video Game awards its what is the most talked about game that gets the award, which is why I never pay attention to the awards ceremonies, I dont need anyone telling me what its a good game and what isnt. I played Clair Obscur for a few hours and just found it dull and boring myself definitely not a GotY contender in my book especially when you had so many other great games come out worthy of that title. Avowed, Borderlands 4, Dispatch and a few others. Its just that Clair Obscur had the better marketing budget.

Re: Opinion: Backwards Compatibility Still Adds So Much Value To Xbox Series X|S In 2025

Tasuki

The one of the reason I went with a Series X this gen over PS5. I was tired of having 3 different Playstations hooked up and take up so much room just so I can play my entire PS library. With a Series X, I have my entire Xbox library on one machine. I can play a game of Crimson Skies, then switch to Forza Horizon 1, then play some Battlefield V, then play some TMNT Shredder's Revenge all without having to get up and switch consoles. I even went back and played some 360 games that I missed during the 360 lifespan. Also I didnt have to buy anything to make sure my 360 hooked up to a modern TV like I had to with my PS2 just to play a few games.

I wish the other two game companies would embrace backwards compatibility like MS does.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Had No Black Friday Deals, So They Lost To A Console We've Never Heard Of (US)

Tasuki

And its due to sales numbers like this that make the Microsoft big wigs think that no one is interested in Xbox consoles anymore. They dont look at forums or surveys they look at numbers and raw data. So when they see numbers like this of course they are going to want and make the Xbox division switch their focus from console development and exclusives to multiplatform releases.

Re: Netflix Is Buying Warner Bros. For Even More Money Than Xbox's ActiBlizz Deal

Tasuki

@FraserG Agree. Netflix is a streaming service not a gaming company. I dont see the point in Netflix buying the gaming division as well except to turn game IPs like The Arkham series or Mortal Kombat into some sort of TV Show kinda like WB did when they bought out Midway's IPs like Rampage. The only other thing I can see them doing with the gaming division is mobile games but I dont see Netflix games coming to Xbox, PS, Nintendo or PC.

Re: Talking Point: Did You Expect More From Xbox 360's 20th Anniversary?

Tasuki

Not really. With backwards compatibility alot of the big games that defined the 360 era can still be played which keeps that gen fresh in people's minds. To be honest I didnt even realize it was 20 years till I saw articles here.

Once backwards compatibility became and previously gen consoles getting longer life spans the generations just blur together and as a result a person forgets how long its been since a said consoles debut.

Re: Xbox President Talks Positive & Resistant Feedback From Fans, How It's Shaping The Future

Tasuki

I mean if you think about it why have your games tied to one console or system. I know plenty of people that would love to play Mario on a PC or PS or Xbox. Just like PS owners are enjoying Gears and Forza Horizon 5 on PS and Xbox and Switch owners enjoy MLB The Show.

Look at it this way consumers pay at least $500, $700, $1000 whatever the console goes for once. But games people pay $60+ all the time. Put that across multiple consoles and you can see it adds up.

Consoles dont make money software does.

Re: A Month Later, The ROG Xbox Ally X Has Totally Changed My Gaming Habits

Tasuki

I dont know if the next Xbox is a Hybrid or handheld only console I will just go with PC then. I am not big on handheld gaming I always preferred gaming on a big screen in my living room. I grew up with a Gameboy, loved my DS and 3DS and own a Switch but I find myself always gaming on a home console more.

Of course the big thing is the price, for what there are asking I can just get a decent gaming laptop or just upgrade my desktop. Still as much as I enjoy Xbox consoles if they decide to go the Hybrid/Handheld route I will still be playing their games.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 8-9)

Tasuki

@ILuvGames I played Pre-sequel years ago and really couldnt get into it the antigravity just didnt feel right to me and I did start Wonderlands as well but got sidetracked with other games, that is a game I need to finish. I have played through the first Tales game and the second one is in my backlog.

I also have the Bunkers and Badass TTRPG as well which is interesting on its own.
