Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 18-19)

Tasuki

Jaws Retro Edition (Switch) Will be wrapping this up this weekend. I really enjoyed this game alot especially the enahnced version.

Forza Horizon 6 (Series X) Seasonal objectives

Zelda II The Adventure of Link (Switch) I got the itch to play this one so I figure I do a playthrough this weekend.

Re: Two Fallout Remasters Announced By Bethesda In Massive New Roadmap

Tasuki

Thank you for killing Xbox Sharma. Instead of giving us something new and exciting like Avowed 2 you are just pumping out another broken Remasters of games that you can already play on Xbox. Lets just copy Ubisoft and release nothing but the same game years after years after years. If this is the route Xbox takes then I wont be getting the next Xbox.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Assassin's Creed Black Flag In General?

Tasuki

The original AC Black Flag has a soft spot in my heart as it was the first game I got with my shiny new PS4. Having previously played 3 on the 360 and enjoying it and this was a Prequel of sorts to 3 and the best launch game that I could find for the PS4 it made sense for me to get it. It also help that I love pirate games. That being said it wasnt a good AC game but a great pirate game. I wish that we got the proper spinoff that Skull and Bones was originally going to be before development hell took over.

I am looking forward to Resync which I plan to get when the price goes down probably around Black Friday.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 11-12)

Tasuki

So this weekend I will be taking to the seas of the Carribean for.....

Jaws Retro Edition (Switch) What you'd thought there would be another game set on a ship in the Carribean that I would be playing? Anyway I have really been enjoying this game. The improvements they made to this game makes it alot more enjoyable while still retaining that NES charm. Looking to finish Chapter 2 this weekend and start Chapter 3.

Forza Horizon 6 (Series X) Will be doing my seasonal objectives. Still enjoying this game alot. As with all FH games this is one that will be installed on my console for awhile.

Non gaming this weekend I will be going to my local Game Cafe to play some D&D for an event they are having and of course I will be watching the World Cup.

Re: Report: Xbox Cancels Avowed 2 And Puts Obsidian To Work On New Fallout Game

Tasuki

@Fiendish-Beaver It seems to me that she wants to go the route of say Ubisoft. Just have a few key franchise, like Ubisoft has Assassin's Creed and Farcry and just release those yearly. Maybe with Obsiadian and Bethesda have them rotate yearly installments of Fallout games like Activision does wjth CoD games. In the end thats not a good thing because its creates a lack of creativity and. Xbox was about being creative compared to Sony and now they just have lost their Identity.

Re: Xbox Announces 3,200 Job Cuts And Four Studio Departures

Tasuki

@Elbow Yeah let's blame Phil Spencer of course. Last I look Satya was the one in charge of Xbox not Phil. Phil couldnt do anything with out his ok which is why they ended up pushing Phil out for Asha. They made the mistakes, Phil was thrown under the bus of course.

Re: Poll: Which Xbox Console Have You Collected The Most Physical Games For?

Tasuki

Xbox 360 easily. At the time I was physical all the way if I had the choice. Of course for digital only titles like some of the XBLA games then yes of course got those digital. At the time too I wasnt sure about how digital games worked. Once Xbox One rolled around the convience of digital won out and with Series X I have gone digital all the way.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 4-5)

Tasuki

Well its the 4th of July and that mean 3 things, Barbecue, Fireworks and Jaws

Jaws Retro Edition (Switch) So I got a physical copy (See Sony people do buy phyiscal) a few months ago from LRG and so to go along with my annual watching of Jaws I will be playing starting this game. Jaws has a soft spot in my heart as its the second NES game I ever played. I am also curious to see what QoL improvements they made to this game.

Forza Horizon 6 (Series X) Will be doing the latest batch of seasonal objectives from the Festival Playlist.

Re: 'Xbox, Now's Your Chance' - Fans Debate Whether Microsoft Should 'Take Advantage' Of Physical Games

Tasuki

If Phil Spencer was still around I would say yes, with Asha though she likes to follow trends and not go against the grain so I will say that MS will follow suit. However though I can see MS releasing a disc drive add on similar to PCs but that will be used only for older Xbox games like backwards compatible 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series games. Maybe a few third parties like Limited Run Games will still do discs for Xbox but I cant see MS as a whole doing them.

Re: As PlayStation Announces The End Of Disc-Based Releases, Will Xbox Follow Suit?

Tasuki

@Weebleman I dont know give it like 20 years or so when the digital only generation cant do like the previous generations and go back and buy the stuff they grew up with. Imagine when the gen that is introduced to gaming because of the PS6 and then decides I want to buy my old games again.

Funny enough we are starting to see the demand of CDs and DVDs go up. Places like Target and Walmart said last holiday season that they saw a huge increase in sales for physical media.

Re: As PlayStation Announces The End Of Disc-Based Releases, Will Xbox Follow Suit?

Tasuki

@ZeD No cause they sell digital codes at places like Walmart and Best Buy.

As far as backlog goes I know what you mean I have over 200 games on my PS4 alone most of which I havent played yet so that alone will keep me busy for ahwile. Not only that but I have a few games on my Wii, Switch and several older consoles that I have yet to play so there's that too.

Re: As PlayStation Announces The End Of Disc-Based Releases, Will Xbox Follow Suit?

Tasuki

Well this is the finally nail in the coffin for me when it comes to modern gaming. With the recent price hikes on 5 year old consoles, pricing of the Next gen consoles, Microsoft going corporate more then ever I am just going to stick with my backlog and retro gaming. If I do modern gaming at all it will be PC and that will be from.GoG where I can make back ups of the digital games I purchase. It was a funny hobbies while it lasted but the corporate greed has ruined it.

Re: Xbox Expects The 'Component Crisis' To Get Worse For Consoles In 2027

Tasuki

And yet all I am hearing is how expensive its going to be Asha. You raised the price of the Series X/S so whats stopping you from releasing the Helix for even more. Yeah you say you are going to innovate to reduce the price but compared to what?? Reduce it from 2k to 1500? Reduce it from 800 to 500?

You ain't doing ***** for the consumers of your brand. What announce a couple of exclusives and exclusives that arent core to the Xbox IP like Halo or Fable is. But yet you're raising prices and closing studios. Yeah things are much better for Xbox with you instead of Phil. Worthless *****.

Re: Here's How The New Xbox Prices Compare To PS5, Switch 2 & Steam Machine

Tasuki

@ZeD Right but as someone pointed out there are to many whales now in the gaming industry. Take GTA VI for example they are alot of people out there that no matter then price they will pay for it no matter what. More then likely what will happen sooner then a crash is that gaming will be come a rich person hobby like rebuilding cars or horse racing.

Re: Here's How The New Xbox Prices Compare To PS5, Switch 2 & Steam Machine

Tasuki

@NishimaruX Lol thats what came to mind actually well not Warhammer but TTRPGs in general. Its sad I can pick up for example the three books that most people say you need to play Dungeons and Dragons for around $200 or less. And I can enjoy that as much as video games. I dont need all the extras like maps and minis and there's a ton of free stuff out there like adventure that a person can get. So let's put that in perspective.

Console required to play games on $500 to $1349 depending on what you want to play. Vs a set of books required to play $150 to $200 and to be honest you dont even need the books they have free versions of the books or you can just make up your own.

To me video games companies feel like the rich kids thwt dont want anyone inferior to play with their shiny toys. A rich kids club kinda thing, which is a shame, and they are going to do whatever they can to keep others out. Imagine if music, or movies did that? These gaming companies are just getting to big and greedy now.

Re: Here's How The New Xbox Prices Compare To PS5, Switch 2 & Steam Machine

Tasuki

@ZeD Thats the way I feel. I cant justify paying something for a hobby that costs some people an entire months of rent. There are far less expensive hobbies out there. In fact I have made up my mind that unless prices come down on these next gen consoles, the Series X and Switch might be the last consoles I own. Luckily as you said I have plenty in the backlog plus I have several retro consoles with games on them as well.
