I knew Activision couldnt be trusted. Which is why I didnt bother playing this game. My FPS days are gone sadly ruined by corporate greed and lies. The last good FPS was XDefiant and Ubisoft decided to bury it.
Nope. I got games in my backlog to complete. I just started Dragon Quest XI S, about to finish off Borderlands 3 and have Mafia: The Old Country to play.
Non video gaming wise I also started playing in a weekly Daggerheart campaign so that has my free time as well. Besides no games coming out in December interest me.
Activision is panicking. They finally pissed off enough of the player base and its fans arent going to stand for Activision's strict SBMM system and AI slop. Hopefully this is the wake up call Activision needed and next year's CoD will go back to the way CoD was before MW 2019.
Not really. With backwards compatibility alot of the big games that defined the 360 era can still be played which keeps that gen fresh in people's minds. To be honest I didnt even realize it was 20 years till I saw articles here.
Once backwards compatibility became and previously gen consoles getting longer life spans the generations just blur together and as a result a person forgets how long its been since a said consoles debut.
Nothing for me. I have games on my backlog to play plus I am wrapping up Borderlands 3 and I just Dragon Quest XIS so I am good on games for awhile. Will be using that money elsewhere.
I mean if you think about it why have your games tied to one console or system. I know plenty of people that would love to play Mario on a PC or PS or Xbox. Just like PS owners are enjoying Gears and Forza Horizon 5 on PS and Xbox and Switch owners enjoy MLB The Show.
Look at it this way consumers pay at least $500, $700, $1000 whatever the console goes for once. But games people pay $60+ all the time. Put that across multiple consoles and you can see it adds up.
She obviously doesnt know what shes doing, shes just telling people what they want to hear. Its time for her to go and bring someone in who's not a corporate puppet.
Didn't realize the My Sims pack was coming to Xbox. My son and I enjoyed that game on the Wii. Been wanting to get it on the Switch but think I will opt for the Xbox version.
This is interesting. If MS goes the Handheld/Hybrid gaming route I may look into this for my next console after Series X, depending on price of course.
I dont know if the next Xbox is a Hybrid or handheld only console I will just go with PC then. I am not big on handheld gaming I always preferred gaming on a big screen in my living room. I grew up with a Gameboy, loved my DS and 3DS and own a Switch but I find myself always gaming on a home console more.
Of course the big thing is the price, for what there are asking I can just get a decent gaming laptop or just upgrade my desktop. Still as much as I enjoy Xbox consoles if they decide to go the Hybrid/Handheld route I will still be playing their games.
Its no surprise. This really didnt offer anything new to previous Fallout 4 owners. Maybe they they also included Fallout London it would have been different but what did they expect.
My favorite Xbox console since the 360. I remember sitting at home during COVID and seeing on Twitter that Walmart.com was releasing some at a certain time so I jumped on it and managed to get one. Loved it ever since.
@ILuvGames I played Pre-sequel years ago and really couldnt get into it the antigravity just didnt feel right to me and I did start Wonderlands as well but got sidetracked with other games, that is a game I need to finish. I have played through the first Tales game and the second one is in my backlog.
I also have the Bunkers and Badass TTRPG as well which is interesting on its own.
@ILuvGames Probably my favorite newer gaming franchise. I played through 1 including all DLC and played through 2 so many times I lost count. Now I am working on 3 and have 4 after that.
Been playing it on my PC the past few days and I love it. Really captures the feeling of the old Tell Tale games. Bringing it out to other consoles is always a good thing so other people can play it.
Also can't wait for the TTRPG to come out will definitely be looking into that.
@BAMozzy I could understand exclusives during the NES days to a point but now its not needed. The companies dont make money on the hardware so they make it back on the software 10 fold. You can go back to the days of the original Xbox and see that MS always lost money on the consoles so in theory wouldn't it be smarter to get your software on every machine possible? Look at Sega for example.
Even if I was a shareholder in MS I'd rather see as many games on as many different devices as possible cause that would mean more money in the end.
@BAMozzy My thing is why are gamers so against others getting games. So what if Gears is on Playstation as well. The more people that can play a game the better as that means more money for the devs and more success for the game. I never understood the ignorance that gamers have even way back in the 16 bit console war days. Do gamers want to see devs fail or studios close down because they didnt make what the uppers where wanting?
This will be the first CoD I will not be playing. The direction CoD has gone is just ridiculous. If I want Fortnite I will play Fortnite not the wannabe that CoD has become.
@TheGameThrifter Xbox isnt just a console its an ecosystem and Rog Ally is part of that eco systems like it or not. Thats like saying Playstation is just a console or Nintendo is a console.
I went back to WoW for War Within and to be honest its not very new player friendly anymore. Its all centered around the raids now and to be honest the best way to experience those is with people you know. Most guilds now are total meta gamer raiders. Lore isnt there like it is in Classic and its just about how fast you can get raid ready.
Now if they ported WoW Classic which may be easier at this point then I would be interested in that. As retail goes they can keep it on PC.
I pretty much own all the Ubisoft games I want. Ubisoft games drop prices quickly and you can usually get them dirt cheap in a sale, like the Black Friday Sale that will be here in a few weeks.
Besides after how Ubisoft handles XDefiant I really dont feel like supporting them.
My roommate and I was just talking about Black and White the other day. I wish him luck in retirement but I cant help but be cautious about his next game. He made to many promises in the past and they always underdelivered.
Makes sense as Microsoft is a software company first and foremost and has been more PC focused then any other video game company. If the next Xbox is the price of a new gaming PC I will pass on it and just stick with my Series X and PC.
Sony's first party library isnt for me as I am not that big into cinematic experiences. Also for their first party games that I want to play like Spider-man series or Horizon Zero I can get them on PC.
Looks like the only true video game console in the next few years will be Nintendo.
Um because Microsoft is and always has been a software company first and foremost. They are not a console manufacturer like Nintendo or an electronic company like Sony.
So Ubisoft killed XDefiant but they want to bring back a paraphernalia that nobody liked or wanted in the first place. And they wondered why their company is tanking.

Borderlands 3 (Series X) I am about to wrap up the Guns Love and Tentacles DLC. Seriously this games DLC is way better then the main story.
Dragon Quest XI S (Switch) Finally grabbed this game on Switch as it was on sale. Such a beautiful game and perfect to play before bed each night.
Re: Talking Point: What Does The 'Steam Machine' Mean For Xbox's Next-Gen Console Plans?
Definitely interested in it especially if Xbox goes the Handheld route with their next console. I just need to know the price before I fully commit.
