Is that just it though havent discs essentially become codes in boxes? You buy a physical copy you get the disc. You take said disc out install the game from the disc and never use the disc again and it just sits on a shelf collecting dust. I cant even remember the last time I bought a physical copy of a PC game.

Another long timer that doesnt fit in with Satya's vision of Xbox. Pretty sure that they will bring in another corporate shill who is just another mindless puppet for Satya to controll like they did when they sent Phil Spencer packing.

The problem isnt the pricing the fact is that these games are hacked and modded to all hell making it dangerous to play. Once you get into a modded lobbies you leave your self open to all kinds of infections its like going to a hooker convention.

MS needs to fix these servers and get rid of the hackers, and the only way to do that is create servers that are only Series X can connect which due to Backwards compatibility is not going to happen. They would have to due a remaster like they did with Modern Warfare Remastered.

I give it six months till they shut the servers down.

Not a whole lot.of gaming for me due to the World Cup. When I do get a spare moment I will be doing a few races and the seasonal objectives in Forza Horizon 6.

Honestly I only used auto drive on the city tours, and that just on the first part of them too. It sucks that idiots take a feature designed to give people a chance to play the game who wouldnt normally be able to and use it as an exploit. Honestly those people should get their accounts banned.

If it was the older CoDs then I would be upset but them delaying newer CoDs its no lost. I rather have a cheaper Gamepass let the kiddies pay the $60 dollars to play Fortnite's creepy uncle.

@Elbow I will admit I never got into GTA Online. Tried to in the early days on the 360 and it was such a buggy mess and I just kept getting stomped by higher level people so that kind of killed it for me.

I wonder if they havent revealed the price yet because they are debating to make it $80 or not. Still I wont be pre-ordering it due to my finances right now but when I do get it it will be on Steam so I have it ready for the Steam Machine when that comes out.

So many questions about this. Are they a remake/remaster? Are just going to connect to the current Blops and Blops 2 PS3 servers so will I be playing with people who still play these game on a PS3? If so what about the hacker problem?

Its an interesting idea but so many questions.

Ah GTA V the game that never dies. I have only played the game and finished it once on the Xbox 360 during the Xbox 360 Gen. I still dont understand how this game can keep going for this long. Its become basically the video game counterpart of The Simpsons.

If you are an achievement hunter dont sleep on Unpacking. You can easily 100% in a few hours.

@FraserG Sorry for the double post but on a side note yesterday I went to the store for a few things and saw bags of Trolli Gummi Worms with the Forza logo on it. Appearently they are running a promotion where you can get a car just from buying their candies. Migjt be worth mentioning in an article so people can get a unique car.

@FraserG OK yeah the two times I saw my son play it nothing like that happened to him. Glad they fixed it though.

@FraserG What exactly was the exploit that cause The Eliminator to be shut down? I keep hearing that there was one but never seen anyone using it to my knowledge.

@somnambulance It might be made from the ground up, but its not a new game its a mobile game from 2015 that recently shut down. They claim that they removed all mobile gameplay and the pay to wins aspects but I wouldn't be surprised if they have some of it in game. I would need to see more and read more reviews before I will think about getting this game, but thats just me.

As much as I want Simpsons Hit and Run I dont see that happening because of Disney. I would think they would due a remaster instead and charge $60+ for it.

Of curse the games without licensing would be the easiest especially if they are 1st party. While I would love to see Forza Horizon become BC I dont see that happening due to the car's licensing.

@somnambulance I was thinking about Final Fantasy Resonance but the fact that its a remake of a mobile has put it further down on my list. Still looks good though. I just cant help to think that there will be some mobile mechanics thrown in.

Played the demo and enjoyed it immensely. Definitely is on my radar just dont know when I will be able to get it in my current financial situation.

@FraserG I am in the same boat man wont be playing much video games due to the World Cup. The USA squad is looking good!!!

Anyway I will be playing Forza Horizon 6 doing some quick races in between World Cup matches. I am almost done with the Discover Japan portion as I just need the last sticker there.

Cause a new boot up screen is so much more important then backwards compatible games. Give me a break.

I noticed yesterday when I went to play Forza Horizon 6 that they changed the play time display from days to hours which I dont like. I dont want to have to do math to figure our how long I have been playing a game. Wish they would add an option to change it back.

For me I am getting more The Crew vibes especially 1 rather then Forza Horizon vibes. Which is good because we dont need another FH wannabe like Crew Motorfest or the latest Test Drive game. Will be keeping my eye on this one.

@FraserG Thats my biggest problem with this game. I love it and its my favorite soccer game of all time but not to the point where I want to drag out my 360 from storage and then figure out if I can hook it up to my current tv. I understand why they dont want to make it backwards compatible but its just sad that it isnt.

The problem was MS was hoping to get CoD all to themselves of course with Sony b i t c h i n g and getting the FTC involved that idea fell apart. At that point MS should have cut their losses and forget about the merger.

Now I dont know if it was to far along to stop by the time Sony pulled their s h i t or they were trying to stick it to Sony or what but the moment they couldnt get CoD all to themselves they should have let it go. Thats why its not worth it.

Well I can tell you the answer to question 3. Because MS doesnt want to do exclusives. The only reason they made Gears and tht other game exclusive is to shut up the Xbox fanboys.

But where are the exclusives????

So basically its ready to go multiplatform when Xbox feels its done pacifing its fanboys. Just like I predicted.

@Ooccoo_Jr Basically. They will do whatever it takes to pacify the Xbox fanboys. They will release an exclusive here and there to keep them happy but major games like Halo and Fable will go multiplatform.

The problem is saying its Limited Edition that just invites the scalpers. Scalpers pray on people's FOMO mindset and by stating something is limited you create that. If you didnt want scalpers just say it was an alternative version of the Xbox or something along those lines maybe an Anniversay editon but the moment you said Limited Editon you lost to scalpers.

@Qozmyk Right at this point you are not going to get PS5 owners to ditch their PS5s nor really are you going to get any Sony fans to switch over. What you can hope for is Sony fans and Nintendo fans to pick up an Xbox as a second console and the way to do that is exclusives, I understand that. If you cant play Gears on a PS5 or Switch then I guess I am going to have to get an Xbox. Problem is I dont see that happening anymore. With console prices skyrocketing not to many people are going to be a multiconsole household.

As I said before exclusives wasnt the reason I buy a second system it was the non-existant 3rd party library of Nintendo that made me by an Xbox or PS but I guess I am the minority, I dont know. Now granted thats not a reason for PS5 owners to get an Xbox obviously casue most third party games come out for Xbox and PS.

So where does MS stand with exclusives? Honestly I think the only reason they are making Gears and that other game exclusive is to shut up the very vocal groups that for some reason feel the need exclusives to buy an Xbox. What I find funny though is those screaming the loudest will end up buying an Xbox anyways exlcusives or not because they are Xbox, there is no way they will buy the PS thats the enemy. They MS uppers could have easily made Halo or Fable exclusives as well they just didnt want to why because I am sure those game will sell more regardless of being an exclusive or not.

I have a friend that owns a PS5 and was ecstatic when he found out Fable was coming out to PS5, as Fable is one of his favorite IP's. He always preferred PS over Xbox mainly because of their JRPGS. Now that Fable is coming out on PS5 he will buy it and thats more money for MS. Would he have bought an Xbox for Fable if it was exclusive no he wouldnt have he would have just been disappointed that he couldnt play one of his favorite IPs, and I feel thats most people's thinking who own other consoles. I feel that goes the same with Halo.

I also feel that with Gears Sony is making it an exclusive to prove a point. They are gathering their numbers seeing how many PS/Switch people may have bought Gears if it was on PS5 or Switch 2 and then that way go see look how much money we left on the table. Now let's compare it to Fable and Halo. I wouldnt be surprised if at some point the uppers of Microsoft decide to make Gears multiplatform and that point the Xbox fanbase will rage and they will get rid of Sharma saying it was her idea to make it exclusive and go back on her word. That's just how corporations work.

But yeah do I think they uppers are dumb and cant make up their minds, no they know exactly what they are doing and sadly people are falling for it. Treating Sharma like shes some kind of savior to Xbox.
