@InterceptorAlpha Yeah. You are right. Being GaaS should be concerning, but a lot of ps4/x1 games will be alive on ps5/xs (siege, ow, fortnite etc...) so it's not that bad, but would have loved something next gen. I am skipping this if it gets a flat 80. I lost interest in the franchise.

@Richnj it's because pc players are accustomed to early access games, so broken games is nothing new to them.

dayz, rust, warframe, ark etc... all broken and unfinished games but were top of the charts on steam.

@Senua not really. they got their refund for a justified causa. Unlike other games getting hate for no good reason (tlou2).

Let it be a lesson for Bethesda game studio, Ubisoft, EA, Activision, WB and take two.
Maybe it is for the better and all of these companies stop playing us.

@NEStalgia I rewatched, and all I saw was the brutes come forward to you and shoot while standing still. One did a roll to evade some bullets I guess but it seemed ineffective. The smaller regular troops just shot while walking side ways or backwards. The brutes also did this. I saw one jump because of a grenade.

Overall nothing really impressive.

@NEStalgia Compared to other fps, tf2 and doom are more complex, if not the most. Just because it's fast doesn't mean it is basic combat.

Yeah. Hopefully. I just didn't see that with the July's showcase. Seemed press l2 and r2 but watch out for your shield to beat the game. Hook seemed meh.

@xMightyMatt14x Halo Infinite gunplay looked meh to me. I actually think they went backwards from halo 5 from the look of it. Looks like halo 3, and that was cool for that time. Now games need to be more complex.

@xMightyMatt14x After playing titanfall 2, doom 2016 and doom eternal, the gunplay looked outdated. Like something that could be done on ps3/360

Tell you this. Tlou2's multiplayer will be more alive than mg5's online and that proves the gameplay argument.

Then prepare to the next upcoming xbox games, that will imitate sony games and their cinematic story telling. It's what sells and a game can be good as a game and a story at the same time and most people prefer both than just 1.

mgs5 is not gameplay focused. It's a Kojima game. Story is veeeery important to him.

@StonyKL I disagree. ND gets challenged in their own type of games. Rockstar, other sony studios, some nintendo studios and square enix are examples.

Looked good, for a ps2 cgi trailer

Before it looked worse than the best ps4/x1 looking games. Now it looks like a good looking last gen game. Now it just needs to reach current (we can finally say it) gen graphics to justify an xbox series x in 2021.

@pip_muzz pretty much this is it. Sega is not handcapping themselves with just xbox and pc sales. Nintendo and Sony is where they make their money.

Xbox guys always buy games from american studios, with a few european exceptions. People want ms to buy japanese studios but that's a death sentence to those studios because xbox guys don't like variety. I know some people clamour xbox games studios genre diversity (which most of those genres don't sell), but the masses don't care about the diversity. They want rpgs and shooters and xbox really needs to hurry up. If the sale ratio is like 5:1 by the end of 2021, it's over for the consoles. All xbox said was they told more than 1m because they outsold xbox 1. That tells me it's a less than. MS needs to report those numbers. I ain't buying a console if idk if it's successful and future proof. So yes, being a western/american brand doesn't help.

I haven't seen any article saying all multiplats are running worst on series x (ac, dirt 5, 2k, legion etc...) or that series x is not really the world most powerful console.

@Medic_Alert Yup. I rather buy the game so $70 vs "free" on gamepass if I keep paying the fee isn't attractive to me. I won't buy an xbox as I think the non bethesda studios may not be enough.

If bethesda remains on ps5 too, my concern is that xbox wants to be a third party publisher and be the gamepass third party publisher.

That concerns me, as xbox doesn't seem to prioritize the xbox box. Plus pc getting more games like tactics and flight sim, not charging pc to play online is concerning when it should be the other way around.

If ps5 gets a huge headstart, which will happen until maybe 2022, if they put bethesda games on ps5 because of lack of potential xbox series sales, that makes it worse.

Sales matter, no matter what Phil says. Console revenue is where xbox gets most of its revenue no matter what Phil says. If he wants mobile market, start making games like clash of clans and candy crush. They don't care about the red deads or the cyberpunks.

If xbox doesn't want to compete, playstation will get away being greedy like nintendo is with the mobile/handheld gamers and the never drop in price games. I think it's time Tencent comes into play with their rumored console. Tencent is a bigger threat than silly amazon and google. Tencent has their foot in deep.

Never liked AC. The combat was too narrow or strict. It has changed a lot now. Keep hearing it is a chores side quest game and looking that some of the new ones are stupidly 80 hours to beat, I will skip them. Ghost is the new AC for me.

Hopefully he reveals console sales by the end of the year.
