No. I am an adult. Why would I be mad about colors? I only played Halo 3 and Reach back in the day. Not an xbox dude but I would like a good halo when I inevitably get an xbox this gen.
And that was not my point. The gameplay went backwards by removing stuff from halo 5 and added a hook that clearly doom and tf2 did it better. I saw the same enemies and vehicles. The animations, world loading and textures were off. Nothing from the dialogue was phenomenal. I honestly think this game was going to be less than an 80, at least with what they showed. Now imagine if the multiplayer has problems. This does not help.
I think games like titanfall 2 and doom set the bar this gen. Hell, even Vanquish, a ps360 game has better gameplay mechanics than this halo. They should be doing something above what was shown this gen.
Look at how in tf2 you used the hook on everything, had wallrunning and was fast pace as hell. Look at how many enemies doom and how each one was unique and how fluid and fast pace the combat is. There is no excuse, especially if you are first party. No wonder why the director left.
Sorry if I am being pessimistic, but I find this conformist behaviour detrimental and I do not want to see this if any of the 23 studios games make average games, which to me are skippable because there are plenty of very high quality games per year.

As a reminder, the game was delayed because of complaints and being made fun of by the ps community. I was one of them, and I am not into Halo. What you see now was going to be out in less than a month.
May I remind you that there was a gaming crash when quality and no competition were not present. Not saying a gaming crash will happen, but every triple A dev should aim for game of the year quality.
It is good for the industry and the consumer. Triple A games take more time and are less of them, in exchange for more quality and more sales per game. I think ps4 games will age way better than previous gen games because of it.

Ok. Lets say MS brings out a banger like hellblade 2 is out to be, but it did not sell well and it did not increase gamepass numbers because everyone who wanted gamepass, already had it. What happens to hellblade 3 if they did not make their money back?
What if MS makes hellblade 3 an ok game, but got money from because everyone who wanted gamepass, have more reasons than hellblade 3 to have it?

Companies want your money. If gamepass does not make as much as selling the game normally, trust me. Gamepass is bye bye. As soon as Phil sees elder scrolls 6 sales he will cut that thing out of gamepass lol and get some of that 70 dollar per game money.
Again. I showed you many examples people prefer quality over being cheap. Ask anyone. If they can afford to go to a restaurant everyday, they will never go back to a fast-food.
How many studios does Microsoft need? 100? 23 studios and none of them will make as much money combined as a an animal crossing for 60 bucks that never drops.

@LtSarge I do not get it. People have paid full price for games since dawn of time. Why would it bother people now? It did not during ps3-360 price increase.
Just because ms have not yet made those games that sell that much at that price, does not mean third party, sony or Nintendo will not be able to sell. Especially Nintendo. You see the 3 cd roms ports of Mario to switch, and they still bought them. They do not care. They never drop in price, and people still pay for them and are top in the charts.
Hell, even bleeding edge being free on gamepass, was not enough.

1. How does playing the game translate on how many people would have bought the game for 70 dollars? Because Battletoads just got 1 million unique players and that would've never happened if it was just for sale.
2. That is not most people. Most people beat it and the game is deleted, hence they would not buy the game after playing it on gamepass.

I rather give 70 dollars for doom 3, and Microsoft give bonuses or a bigger budget to that studio next game , instead of me paying all 23 studios equally through gamepass. I do not believe all of xbox studios are worth equally. I think 10 of the 23 will make something I may like.

That still does not give any reason for people to switch. Just add a second console.Nothing has changed except gaming development cost has gone up and now everybody will charge 10 percent more . Even Aaron Greenberg could not give a straight answer on RDX if they will increase the price.
You can always wait for a sale. I do not see majority of gamers playing 200 gamepass games. They barely play 10 per gen.

@mousieone That is not what I meant. I do not want to support those devs you are talking about. I do not care about their games.I do not play indies. I just want to support iD, for example, for doom 3. I do not agree I should support 90 percent of the devs that have their game on gamepass.
Sorry if you misunderstood me. What I want to say, I want all my money spent to go to iD so they can make a better sequel, and not to a bunch of indies and AAA publishers I do not support.
I also think since single player games can be beaten in a day, people will not buy them after playing them for free on gamepass. Microsoft will not find worth making those type of games and will rely on games as a service like they are doing with forza, halo, and I would not be surprised if next gears is called Gears World or something like that.
Almost nobody thinks like me, that after beating a game, One should support the dev. If single player games gain a boost in sales with gamepass, it is because they were for sale for retail price for months or years, but with day 1 releases, it changes a lot Bethesda is almost an all single player publisher too.

@graysoncharles I rather support the dev directly. A good example of buying games instead of renting them, is right now, with bc, which that is all series has for the first 2 years. Rdr2 was removed from gamepass, but since people bought it, they still can play it on their series x.
I get gamepass is good for people that cannot afford many games, but I feel I support devs I do not want to support instead of just straight buying the game I want.

You have 2 system sellers with 2 potential ones.
Then you have gran turismo that always sells over 5m, god of war, horizon fw, ratchet will be a system seller for the kids and then you have Returnal, which I believe housemarque will be a studio to look out for after this game.
Xbox just has Halo. Xbox is getting their beatdown in the first year. So much that Bethesda will not change anything when ps5 is 3 to 1 at the end of 2021.
Screw pc. Xbox should be the first class citizen platform.

No. I am an adult. Why would I be mad about colors? I only played Halo 3 and Reach back in the day. Not an xbox dude but I would like a good halo when I inevitably get an xbox this gen.
And that was not my point. The gameplay went backwards by removing stuff from halo 5 and added a hook that clearly doom and tf2 did it better. I saw the same enemies and vehicles. The animations, world loading and textures were off. Nothing from the dialogue was phenomenal. I honestly think this game was going to be less than an 80, at least with what they showed. Now imagine if the multiplayer has problems. This does not help.
I think games like titanfall 2 and doom set the bar this gen. Hell, even Vanquish, a ps360 game has better gameplay mechanics than this halo. They should be doing something above what was shown this gen.
Look at how in tf2 you used the hook on everything, had wallrunning and was fast pace as hell. Look at how many enemies doom and how each one was unique and how fluid and fast pace the combat is. There is no excuse, especially if you are first party. No wonder why the director left.
Sorry if I am being pessimistic, but I find this conformist behaviour detrimental and I do not want to see this if any of the 23 studios games make average games, which to me are skippable because there are plenty of very high quality games per year.

Have standards. Games should be better with each new gen. Not just for the graphics.
As a reminder, the game was delayed because of complaints and being made fun of by the ps community. I was one of them, and I am not into Halo. What you see now was going to be out in less than a month.
May I remind you that there was a gaming crash when quality and no competition were not present. Not saying a gaming crash will happen, but every triple A dev should aim for game of the year quality.
It is good for the industry and the consumer. Triple A games take more time and are less of them, in exchange for more quality and more sales per game. I think ps4 games will age way better than previous gen games because of it.

Well, most people will get the game on gamepass so stuff like this takes pressure from devs, That is what Aaron said on the RDX podcast.
Why are they complaining if they are not paying 70 dollars? They will get their subs money, because of other third-party games regardless if they fix it or not.
This is why Gamepass is not ideal for the more talented studios. It puts all the studios on the same level. Gamepass for me, is supporting rare and iD at the same time. One is the fps god and the other made sea of thieves.
Buy games individually, so Microsoft knows which studio is worth the spending. I know I am.

I do not agree with exclusive content being locked. Zombies mode is like a third part of cod games. Plus the game has cross play if I am not mistaken.
This is why console sales matter tho. It is easier for them to make these deals when you are the market leader. It is why MS has to hurry up and put out system sellers similar to what sony has.
Especially when sony has 9 ps studios tagged games for the first year and possibly counting vs Halo... infinite.
It makes sense. Nobody would buy it on the series x. Then the next year, when it is out, a new cod is out lol. Yeah, this is horrible, even tho it is a killer move. Microsoft stole Bethesda games and this is how they respond.

I still prefer consoles. 1 CHEAPER purchase for 7 years. Devs do not really make games with pc in mind. They just bump settings.
Everyone is on an even ground while using controllers and the same 1 or 2 consoles.
No troubleshoot gaming.

They never had enough exclusives in the first place. In previous generations. They lost epic and bungie and 343 and coalition were not on their level. 360 was a multiplayer focused console and their 2 system multiplayer sellers did not convince enough people. Battle Royale and Hero shooter took the multiplayer spot. Was still a successful gen for them.
PlayStation exclusives reaching Nintendo level of quality causing less sales for MS.
I can see gamepass as a win.
Created mistrust with their attempts of always online, which would still cause an uproar today.
