Ah, most of these are FPS. Sadly that's a genre I'll never like, even less the retro ones. Still, always glad less games are skipping Xbox. Something that's more my cup of tea and released today is Earthion from the GOAT 🐐 Yuzo Koshiro.
I don't use Steam nor visit Metacritic. It was precisely YouTube which flooded my feed with a lot of "woke/trash game/worst game of the generation".
What I meant to say was that for each fair review there were five that were BS. What I also meant to say is that even those fair critiques are subjective. I enjoyed the game's narrative and I enjoyed its writing and characters. That's why it's subjective.
And when I used the "hate" word I wasn't referring to the fair reviews which I don't think are hateful. Was referring to the vast majority of comments or reviews simply hating the game for its "wokeness" and because it wasn't Dragon Age: Origins, something that Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition weren't, so beats me why they expected that.
I've been playing The Outer Worlds which I've never finished before. It's great. Big New Vegas vibes. I'll jump to Assassin's Creed Shadows when the DLC comes out though.
Was never a fan of Dragon Quest nor Toriyama's designs to be honest, but I'm glad this one doesn't skip Xbox. I'll probably give the series another chance with the 2D ones.
And I've been unapologetic saying how overrated Far Cry 3 is. 🤣
4 and 5 do everything better. Can't go back to 3 or 2.
But about the multiplayer... I mean there is probably a playerbase for that, but I'm not a fan. I much prefer the single-player stuff, be it Far Cry or any other series.
I've been playing it but just a little. Like two or three runs just to try it. Didn't lose any upgrades yet, but it could be something that happens playing more? Game is super fun, but yeah, that has me a little worried too.
Jottunslayer I had it preordered because that's right up my alley. The others... Yeah, not for me. Maybe Hotel Barcelona. There's a few indies I'm interested but have no release date yet, like Neon Inferno, Toxic Crusaders. Halls of Torment I think it actually has one. That one is good too. Great demo. Same with the zombie one.
Still playing Dragon Age The Veilguard which I'm enjoying a lot. I think I'm close to end, I have a little more than 60 hours. After that maybe Shinobi or Outer Worlds. I kinda wanna try another build in Dragon Age though.
It's fun! A little chaotic, but that's part of the charm. Didn't like the music so much but at the same time I found it catchy. My one complaint would be that the characters felt the same, but maybe that was me not going too deep into the customization mechanics. Fun, for sure but I myself would wait for a sale.
Honestly, I might not even try whatever they make next. This was so overhyped that it was never going to fulfill expectations (at least for me). Not a bad game at all, and the soundtrack is almost perfection, but everything else I just thought it was alright. Game fell apart after Act 1 for me and had to force myself to finish it. I don't think it makes my top 20 of JRPGs In any case, I know it was a complete success and I'm in the minority, so kudos to the team. I think I'll go back to Shadow Hearts. 🤣

Re: If The Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake Is Real, It Could Be Very Different From The Original
Zero interest in this. Will probably be the second AC I'll never buy.

It's a wonderful machine and you get your money's worth.

@Will46
That's subjective, but very well.
Was hated most of the time for stupid reasons, and sometimes was fairly criticized.*
There.
Re: These 40+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (September 15-19)
There's quite a few I'm interested in, but in my region they take a lot of time to appear on the store. You sometimes can't even preorder.
Re: Six Games Are Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass In October 2025 So Far
I playing the first The Outer Worlds to prepare for the second one.
Maybe I'll do the same with Ninja Gaiden, but only with 3.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 13-14)
I've been playing The Outer Worlds which I've never finished before. It's great. Big New Vegas vibes.
I'll jump to Assassin's Creed Shadows when the DLC comes out though.
Re: Seven Mega Man Games Are Heading To Xbox In The New 'Star Force Legacy Collection'
I didn't even know this subseries existed. 😅
Re: Square Enix Confirms That Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth & Part 3 Are Coming To Xbox
Seems that PS exclusivity didn't work too well for Squenix. 🤣
Re: Dragon Quest 7 Is Getting 'Reimagined' For Xbox In February 2026
Was never a fan of Dragon Quest nor Toriyama's designs to be honest, but I'm glad this one doesn't skip Xbox.
I'll probably give the series another chance with the 2D ones.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.31 Brings AutoDrive Improvements, Photo Mode Changes To Xbox
Crazy how some quests took 5 years to fix.
Re: 15 Xbox Indie Games That Should Be On Your Radar In September 2025
@Nightcrawler71
I've been playing it but just a little. Like two or three runs just to try it. Didn't lose any upgrades yet, but it could be something that happens playing more?
Game is super fun, but yeah, that has me a little worried too.
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (September 11-14)
I'll try Rogue Waters since it's been in my wishlist.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Dragon Age: The Veilguard On Xbox Game Pass?
I've completed it 100% and it's great fun. Another game hated just for the sake of being hated.
I'd say it's a solid 8 for me, maybe even a 9.
Re: Two Big October Releases Are Available To Play On Xbox This Week
Will definitely try the Digimon demo. There's been a crazy amount of crazy good demos lately!

More Koei Tecmo games please.
Re: Xbox Demo Fest Now Live, 40+ Games Available To Play For Free
I already downloaded and I'm trying quite a few of them. There's a lot of stuff!
Really good if you're into indie games.
Re: 'Yet Another Zombie Survivors' Is Apparently Amazing, And It's Coming To Xbox This Week
@Nightcrawler71
That one looks really good and it had escaped my VS-like radar.
I'll add it to the wishlist!
Re: 'Yet Another Zombie Survivors' Is Apparently Amazing, And It's Coming To Xbox This Week
@Kaloudz
It's basically Vampire Survivors but with zombies. In case you liked that one.
Definitely not a survival game which is what I thought it was. 🤣
Re: 'Yet Another Zombie Survivors' Is Apparently Amazing, And It's Coming To Xbox This Week
Honestly I ignored it because of the name, but if there's a demo, I'll try it.
Re: Mario Kart World Has A Ridiculous New Rip-Off On The Xbox Store
I mean, F Nintendo. Whatever I think of the game, I think even less or Mr. "I'll Call my Lawyers" Nintendo.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 6-7)
Still playing Dragon Age The Veilguard which I'm enjoying a lot. I think I'm close to end, I have a little more than 60 hours.
After that maybe Shinobi or Outer Worlds.
I kinda wanna try another build in Dragon Age though.
Re: Poll: Are You Buying Borderlands 4 Next Week?
Honestly I thought this one was already out. But no, not for me.
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (September 4-7)
@FraserG
Thanks! Gonna go give it a read and probably try it later too!
Re: Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (September 4)
I'm very busy with Veilguard. It ended up being really cool. Neither game is for me, anyways.
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (September 4-7)
Does TopSpin has some kind of story mode? Like WWE's MyRise or something like that?
Re: 007 First Light Gets Massive Gameplay Deep Dive, Hits Xbox In March 2026
I don't think I've ever watched a Bond movie. At least not in full.
Still, if it looks good, I'll be interested. The PS2 games were fun.
Re: Talking Point: Next Month Is A Big One For Xbox Game Studios, And We're Here For It
@BAMozzy
Probably because:
A) This is an Xbox site. Just like when you go to read the news on Push Square and you don't know if the games release on other consoles or not.
B) The three games will be on Game Pass, which most Xbox users have.
I agree that is a good month for gaming in general though. Although of course that is subjective to personal taste.
Re: Talking Point: If You've Played It, What Do You Think Of The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Playtest?
It's fun! A little chaotic, but that's part of the charm. Didn't like the music so much but at the same time I found it catchy.

Re: Xbox Game Pass: All Games Coming Soon In September 2025
@Decimateh
Not for me, I didn't really like the first one. But I hope you enjoy it!
Re: Xbox Game Pass: All Games Coming Soon In September 2025
Nothing for me but that's fine. I'll be clearing some of my neverending backlog.
Re: These 30+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (September 1-5)
Not much for me here, only the VS-like game. But I don't mind. Game Pass has been good.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 30-31)
Dragon Age The Veilguard which I'm enjoying quite a lot. Solid game so far.
Re: Pick One: What Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Addition In August 2025?
It's between The Rogue Prince of Persia and Dragon Age.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From Xbox At Tokyo Game Show Next Month?
More JRPGs, but maybe not the big ones. The smaller ones that usually skip Xbox.
Re: Expedition 33 Dev Says More Games Are Coming In The 'Clair Obscur' Franchise

I think I'll go back to Shadow Hearts. 🤣
Re: Five Ubisoft Games Acquired By Atari, All Set To Be Re-Released On Xbox
Always wanted to play Cold Fear and never did. So that's cool.
I Am Alive was reaaaally cool on paper, and really interesting on practice. I think it could have been great with a few tweaks and QoL stuff.
Re: Helldivers 2 Has No Xbox Reviews Yet, So Here's What The Players Are Saying So Far
Ugly as sin made me laugh. 🤣
Re: Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance Is One Of The Highest-Rated Xbox Games Of 2025
This game looks amazing. Honestly this was the kind of art style I wanted for Ninja Gaiden Ragebound.
Re: Indie Dev Frustrated Over Hollow Knight: Silksong Reveal, Delays New Game Because Of It
Sucks because I don't care about Silksong but I wanted this one. But it does makes sense I guess.
