Two days for GTA5 when it first launched and took a long weekend for RE4 remake. Would have done the same for Gears of War 3 but was lucky enough to have launch day off anyway

Been wanting one for years but couldn't bring myself to spend the 100 dollars. Glad i waited.

No remaster needed. It still looks and plays incredibly via backcompat.

What's even the point anymore? They keep reducing how many points you can get and taking away opportunities to earn points

Didn't they JUST say they weren't going to increase prices? Good job Microsoft, I'm sure everyone will want to buy into your ecosystem now.

Looks terrible. Playground clearly didnt play the originals and/or didnt understand it in the slightest.

The fact that that's how they announce the remaster and their direct is why Grasshopper is one of the best studios.

The time developers wanted Microsoft to cancel their game it doesn't happen. Funny how that works.

This issue is gonna keep getting worse at this rate. It's only a matter of time before bigger studios and publishers voluntarily skip Xbox

@Ralizah Octopath and Triangle Strategy were lower budget new IP's though. Although the more i think about it the more obvious it is that they're full of it

Are they trying to say they would have made it and Xbox or Epic games store exclusive if they offered better deals? Nah, they were always gonna release it on Playstation no matter what.

Imagine owning a franchise as big as Final Fantasy but having so little faith in it you go around begging for exclusivity deals

Mortak Kombat, Street Fighter, and Tekken all in the same year, a huge comeback for fighting games. All we need now is a new (good) Dead or Alive.

This shouldn't be a surprise, every major publisher is gonna charge 70 within the next couple years. It sucks but that's how it goes, one company gets away with it and then everyone else follows.

I mean, that's business. Sony crapped all over Microsoft after the Xbox One reveal, Microsoft crapped on Sony when the PS3 price was revealed to be so high, Sony crapped on Sega after the Saturn reveal, and so on and so on.

If you screw up, you're gonna get roasted. Don't like it? Learn from it, thats what failing is about.

There are always games that get torn apart in reviews that you see people come to it's defense and praise it for what it is (Wanted Dead for example) but I'm barely seeing anyone defending Redfall and that really says a lot about it.

Serious question, does anyone actually use these third party wired controllers? I give a pass to the duke since the original was a wired controller, but at this point to me if it's not wireless im not interested.

All the hype for this game seemed to boil down to "it's Arkane!" But it always looked so generic. I can't say I'm surprised reception is pretty middling.

When in doubt, don't believe Jez Corden. But also don't believe the execuspeak either. There's a reason Xbox doesn't publish sales numbers anymore.

"Don't judge us by sales, judge us by gamepass subscribers" just means they don't want anyone to see the sales. If something sold millions of copies they'd be bragging about it.

People do this? I thought this was the kind of thing everyone rebelled against during the early Xbox One days.

No gamepass deal? Why even bother releasing on Xbox. Can't compete with gamepass so it's a waste of time and money to support the platform.

Only a matter of time before large studios and publishers start thinking that way too.

I'm with you. I haven't played Revelations 2, but i loved raid in Revelations 1. I'm not a fan of being timed and the whole objective just being survive and get the highest score just doesn't appeal to me.

Raid mode at least feels like you're working towards something and being able to customize your loadout it all just feels much more substantial.

It's always best to not take Jez seriously. But in the case it does seem like Phil Spencer pissed in someone's coffee

Just like everything, there's pros and cons. Gamepass is great for the games that get a gamepass deal, but anyone that doesn't get a gamepass deal is screwed cause they now have to compete with it.

I see people say all the time that they never pay for Xbox games anymore and because of that i can see why a lot of developers don't even bother with Xbox anymore, why develop for it if most of the player base isn't even gonna look outside of gamepass.

It's great for players and for anyone lucky enough to get a gamepass deal, but i can see more and more developers in the future (outside of the big names and franchises) choosing not to put their games on Xbox if they don't get a gamepass deal

They've taken away so many opportunities to earn points, this is just the latest way they're doing that

Anyone else wish they'd bring back raid mode instead of mercenaries?

If the devs didn't have their head up their own asses the past few years they'd have known it was a bad idea from the start and they wouldn't have to do all the work to remove it now.

Rewards aren't even worth going for anymore. Ever since they cut back how many points you get and/or increased the amount of stuff you have to do to get points it's just (pun intended) pointless
