If a studio like this can afford to port a (seemingly) sub par game like this to Xbox then all these other developers are full of ***** when they say they don't have the resources to do it.

I understand that most people are going digital but not making any kind of external disc drive available is simply anti consumer. Especially if they intend to stop producing the original Series X.

Shame, with Saber and Toys For Bob going independent ive been hoping to see more studios follow suit, too bad Gearbox couldn't do it.

It's hard to imagine Xbox being more of a laughing stock than it is now, but if they release this at $500 dollars, it will happen.

Phil Spencer has made Xbox weaker than it ever has been. I've been firmly on Xbox since the 360 and now i have no doubt ill pull the trigger and get a PS5 within the next 6 months.
There's just no reason not to. The best looking exclusives coming are Hellblade and Avowed and even they just look ok. All the others look terrible. And if Hellblade and Avowed are good they'll probably go to PS5 anyway.

This is why "don't judge us by console sales, judge us by gamepass subscribers" kills the Xbox.
It doesn't matter if you have 100 million gamepass subscribers, if console sales are low then there is little appeal to make games for the Xbox

Are studios ever going to learn that not every game needs to be open world?

My 2TB card is already almost full. My main annoyance is that Series X/S optimized games are mandatory. I would have been fine with games like Killer Instinct or RE2 and 3 staying with the Xbox One versions just to be able to play them off my external hard drive

Binary Domain. It's not a revolutionary game but it's dumb fun and got FPS boost.

They reduced playing jewel from 30 points to 5 and got rid of the points and maintaining 7 friends so that's 40 points daily gone.

I doubt Microsoft would consider it. Aside from Rare and DoubleFine when you look at the studios they've acquired it's clear they're mostly only interested in shooters and western rpgs. Hell they had Toys For Bob and then just let them go.

Not all masterpieces or exclusives, but the 360 and that era alone was filled with so many amazing games and almost all of them were on the 360

Id actually respect these people if they'd just come out and tell the truth.

It's whatever anymore, the quicker these games get released, the sooner they lose money, and the sooner they go out of business. Less studios with this mindset the better.

It's good that they're able to do this, but it really shows how much Microsoft didn't care about them when they acquired them.

The only teeny tiny chance of Nintendo i wound think would be Bayonetta, since they have given up on exclusive publishing in the past like with Fatal Frame, but that's 99.9 percent chance not gonna happen.

Never in a million years with Sony. Their philosophy in games has always been to hurt the competition no matter what, and they continue to do business that way to this day.

So happy to be getting SMT5. But why, why is Xbox not getting Battletoads in Battlemaniacs!? I know I'm probably the only person that still cares about that game but still! 😂

Xbox began its downward slope after Peter Moore left. He was not afraid to compete even after the PS2 was the best selling console ever. And when his aggressive attitude came back to bite him (red ring) he took responsibility and did what was right for Xbox customers.

When you look at the people in charge at the big companies at the time (Peter Moore, Jack Tretton, Reggie/Iwata) it's clear why it was such a great generation.

Looter shooters usually aren't my thing but something about The First Descendant looks really cool to me so I'll be checking it out.

I'll be taking a look at Blue Protocol as well, never heard of it until now but it looks like it could be really good and it's surprising since games like that almost always skip Xbox.

@Shushibda @StylesT it was just poor phrasing on my part. I meant if Xbox continues to not get games it doesn't matter if it's on every screen.
They can put it everywhere but if someone wants to play FF7 remake, silent hill 2 remake, stellar blade, rise of the ronin, etc they're still just gonna get a PlayStation

You can make every screen an Xbox but if no one wants an Xbox it's pointless.

All i want is to be able to custom organize my games library 😫

No plans for it now, but if they put all their exclusives on PlayStation and console sales tank even more then those plans will change when everyone stops making games for Xbox.

@Darude84 I'm still rocking an oldschool non smart tv 😂 and even then, no need to bother connecting the tv to the internet or switching inputs or remotes, i just find it the most convenient to do everything on the Xbox

I use it for all my streaming, no need to take up another HDMI port for something that can do everything the Xbox can. Unless im playing a game on another console i use the Xbox for everything on my tv.

Even if all these rumors are false, this is still a problem. If your game isn't on gamepass then it has to compete with gamepass. And if you're a small indie studio gamepass subscribers players won't even think about buying your game

It's not about a "broader audience", everyone just wants Sony to have a monopoly. They'll talk all day about how good it would be for Xbox exclusives to go to PlayStation but they sure aren't calling for PlayStation exclusives to go to Xbox.

It's only a matter of time, first they phase out physical games, next games will be exclusive to gamepass.

The more subscription services grow the less people will look outside the service for games. You already see tons of people say "i never pay for games anymore". Without a gamepass deal your game has to compete with it, and unless it's already in an established IP that's pretty close to a death sentence.

When the CEO of Microsoft mentions the Xbox last you know where it stands in their eyes.

At least they're honest about it.

And my name predates Gears. He has his moments but I've never been a big Marcus fan, even in the original trilogy.

They'll make Halo anything as long as it's not a single player game

The writing has been so inconsistent. JD was super bland in 4 but Kait was really interesting. Then in 5 JD has a very interesting arc that all happens off screen while Kait became a typical "angry female protagonist". Del is pretty bland all around and Fahz is a great lovable douche bag, but again we dont get to see much of him cause his story is told, not shown. Not to mention them killing Anya off screen, that still infuriates me.

Microsoft wants Xbox to be a certain way and it's turning Xbox into more and more of a joke. They only want games that THEY want on the platform, they only want customers that will use their Xbox THEIR way.

They want developers and players to be "good enough" for them, rather than them being good enough for us.

It's good, great in many aspects, but while everyone is saying they can't stop playing, I'm having to force myself to play it cause I'm trying to get to a point where i understand the 10/10 scores.
