I have no interest in Starfield but i really really hope it's good for everyone looking forward to it. But i just have the worst feeling in my gut about it.
The bigger outlets like this and IGN are crapping all over this game but it's getting better reviews from smaller reviewers and on the Xbox marketplace.
Sounds like it needs a patch or two for some performance issues but i always trust smaller outlets over big ones and based on those it actually seems like a lot of fun.
I feel like the Slipspace engine has become the scapegoat for all of Halo's problems and Unreal is being put on a pedestal as an easy fix. Im sure Slipspace caused development delays but Halo has way more issues than can be fixed with an engine swap.
@Jarobusa A little yes, but before HiFi Rush, when is the last time Xbox got a Japanese exclusive? And on that note, look at how many Japanese games Xbox doesnt get that the Playstation and Switch get.
They can't get third party games and just now got an exclusive for the first time in forever. There's almost no reason for Japanese players to consider Xbox so that price increase will only make it more irrelevant in the country.
343's days are numbered. Bonnie Ross was well respected at Microsoft so she was able to shield them through all the crap. But with her gone it's open season.
With Microsoft owning multiple legendary FPS franchises (Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein) and Call of Duty on the way i can't see them caring much about Halo anymore.
They still aren't doing anywhere near enough. They're trying to get big games from the big companies like Atlus and Koei Tecmo but they're completely ignoring smaller ones like NIS, Idea Factory, and Tamsoft.
The big games are great and necessary but if that's all they have that will only get them so far.
Phil Spencer has been talking about Xbox's dedication to the Japanese market for years, but with this job just now coming up, it makes me wonder what they've actually been doing all this time.
At this point i think the intrigue over Scalebound would bring new people to gamepass just to check it out. It's almost like the Snyder Cut of the games industry.
Obviously you hope everything is ok with her and her family.
But from a business standpoint, it was time. I have a lot of respect for Bonnie Ross but 343 has dropped the ball time and time again since Halo 4 and as head of the studio ultimately it was her responsibility. Hopefully they can get someone in there that can right the ship.
It'd be nice for it to get a simple remaster for Playstation and Switch players, but a remake isn't necessary. Its quirks are part of the game's charm and that would be lost in a remake
Funny to see such an even split between the classic and modern games (38 and 39 percent when i voted) just shows there's a big audience for both styles.
I seriously doubt it. It's pretty obvious they didn't care at much about it as The Witcher and only saw it as a cash grab. Hopefully Mike Pondsmith can partner with a different studio for any future games set in that world. Id love to see Obsidian get a shot with the IP.
I just want to be able to organize my games. It annoys me to no end that the tomb raider games are split up or that Bioshock Infinite shows before the first two
@Would_you_kindly I honestly forget all the time that the PS5 isn't backwards compatible past the PS4 (not counting ps plus) I've gotten too spoiled 😂
They don't need remasters to begin with. FPS boost would be nice but they both still hold up very well and im sure Rockstar would only do more harm than good remastering them.
Normally that's good, but the story, narrative, and characters all look so lame. This looked like a game a bunch of old dudes sat down to make and just said "This is what the kids these days like isnt it?"
Generic post apocalypse, colorful guns, young adult protagonist, "student loan debt" joke. Maybe it's just not for me, but i was very unimpressed.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Discusses The Importance Of Platform Exclusives
Sony pays for exclusivity on dozens of games and no one bats an eye.
Microsoft makes one game exclusive and everyone loses their minds!!
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Devs 'Aren't Playing The Exclusivity Game' With PlayStation
Sony isn't paying them for exclusivity, they just don't see any value in putting the game on Xbox. That's even worse.

Another live service game that will be shut down in a year
Re: Xbox Says It's Offering 'Better Deal' Than Sony's Current COD Contract, Which Expires In 2024
For Sony its never been about getting Call of Duty with full parity as other platforms. It's about everyone else not being full parity with them.
They're that kid that wants the new toy until they see other kids have the toy, then they don't want it anymore.

Raise the price without any games to make anyone potentially willing to pay the higher price to actually pay it. Outstanding move.

@Deshalu Nah i don't think it's like that, and i don't want Sony buying more studios either

Microsoft is that awkward rich kid completely incapable of making friends on their own so they just buy people's friendship.

Terrible. Removing customization options is by far the worst thing, just turns it into one giant ad for gamepass
