I think Microsoft offers the most in the way they market their games. They still do physical, they do digital, they are in other stores (stream) they make devices and games cross platform. They have great merch. Just recently got the sea of thieves Xbox logo t shirt and a art poster. The way they integrate Microsoft rewards, game pass, internet usage and gaming. I love purchasing non game pass games because if you stack rewards you pay for game pass rather easily through points. Fast loading times changed this whole generation at being my favorite. Jumping between games in a party of friends bring me back to couch coop. Caught up with a bunch of high school and college friends.
Played a lot of SSX but on GameCube. Loved steep and riders republic but I’m more of a skier in those. Shredders is top notch. A little buggy but I like the realism.
@RevGaming Me too. Tons of other games to play and tons of other things to do though. Don’t buy the games that have the content you don’t want. Jumping between discussion boards and social media and piling on complaints is not healthy. Just my thoughts on it. I don’t support it but I love online gaming so I can play with my friends around the world because I took a job where I know a handful of people in the state.
Games being down because of maintenance is nothing new. They needed better communication through their social media outlets and an in game message up for a few days before. Gaming is just entertainment for me. Can’t play one game I got a few hundred to choose from. Internet is out I got other things to do like read or play music. Big uproar over something that should be so minuscule in our lives. Everything can’t cater to everyone and people should probably accept that instead of stressing about it. Good discussion to have but I don’t see it ever changing
@hbkay Game Pass does that a lot. Doesn’t say in the store when it’s a game pass game for preorders. A lot of rumors were flying around and I think the publisher stated it wouldn’t. Customers can just get a refund though if they choose to.
It’s generally difficult to round up all the Xbox fans/pc gamers that love Xbox titles. Obviously they are out there. I believe Xbox is better at community fan bases then what I see from Sony and Nintendo. I’ve been thinking about this for a few months.
@VisitingComet1 Yeah I ended up buying it. Haven’t played a wrestling game in a very long time. It will probably be my only one this generation but it’s a genre that’s always fun.
You see a lot of this in big projects. Hopefully they can roll out content and fixes quick enough. Hoping for more campaign content and when they add coop.
Music story and Music racer are great. Music story has great colors and illustrations and I like how they did the rhythm mechanic. Music racer is a really great visualized. You can upload your own music to Audius and play your own songs and also play others. Also if you set up a WebDAV? Server you can hook up to that to play the music you own I presume.
It took them three months to identify this? Balance the vehicles as well. You can take a hovercraft UP vertical surfaces such as boats and mountains. Going to have to do a lot for them to get me back playing but they already got my money.
Paid $20 for ten months of game pass mostly with the rewards program and a Black Friday deal. The quests make me try new games or have fun in a new genre.
I’ve been enjoying the demo. Did you test out any steering wheels? I have yet to plug in mine. The races seemed easy on normal but I’m okay with that. I’m on the fence about purchasing it. I like FH5 a lot more.
I've passed on Sony this generation. I don't need all three consoles. Very rarely do I touch my switch anymore since I got my X. I play my X nearly every day. If competition makes Xbox even better then I'm happy. Hopefully Sony fans like this if it's true.
I thought hellblade was amazing. Usually not my type of game and I put it down for a year. I played this and plagues tele simultaneously and they paired really well.
Let the developers do what they do best. Working on a continued project can be detrimental to the creative process especially in a big team. I’d love a gears masters collection, gears 6, and I’ll try most games on game pass.
I’ve been meaning to put some time into this. I’ve liked it so far. ESO and Sea of Thieves are my main live games so it’s difficult fitting it in the rotation.
I love it for single player games. Just have to remember to restart multiplayer games because most don’t resync the connection. Load times are so quick now too which makes this generation the best.
I think they can make it 60 at 1080 for the series s. First I think the series s will be treated like the switch. “Budget” console but sells the most because it’s easy to obtain and accessible for everyone. Second I think people really get caught up with frames per second. I hardly remember ever discussing this topic a decade ago. Maybe I have super human eyesight or I’m a Neanderthal but 30 and 60 doesn’t bother me. I take quality mode over performance mode.
Mass effect trilogy, hitman trilogy and rainbow six extraction are great adds. Outer wilds is back. Lots of indies to try. Great start. I pay game pass with my reward points so gaming pays for itself. I also bought Olli Olli World and High Isle with a year ESO subscription. Super excited for Sea of Thieves updates. Glad I went X series so far this gen.
It was fine. Reminded me of free fps games from the 2000s. It’s not great but it’s a budget shooter. I don’t know how much I’ll play it. Digging into Olli Olli World and ESO.
I try most games that come to Game Pass. I still buy games. Game Pass substantially helps me out because I love to try different games and genres and never know what I want to play until I sit down. But I can get dragged into games and I don't finish much. There is still so many games I'll never play. Every medium is saturated and that comes with everything eating at our free time and population and ease of access. Much easier to post your painting, share your game, make music, post a video then ever before.
I love plantinum games. Bayonetta, astral chains, nier, wonderful 101 are all great games and franchises but they seem to have mismanagement issues. So many delays on their product. I’d love for them not to have to work so heavily with publishers and make cross platform games. I don’t think their games are huge system sellers but they are great games and cover a great niche.
Good for her. Love that prominent women play huge roles over at Xbox. Not everyone needs to be a staple name in the industry. Hopefully she has a great retirement.
Just needs more content. Forge will help a ton and Coop campaign too. Got a lot to play and I've been leaning on coop games much more then competitive games.
The original and sequel were amazing. Already preordered the digital deluxe of this knowing I'll be diving in and out for years to come. Really great pick up and play game. It would work well on xcloud.
This is a great list. I’m also buying Olli Olli world deluxe this month. Love to try all these indie games. We just had extraction, mass effect trilogy and hitman trilogy hit game pass too. Idk what people expect out of 15 a month that most people bring down significantly with conversions or reward points.
Yep really easy achievements. I think I got over 200 in my first hour. Also crazy game. Difficult to do extreme on controller but all the other difficulties you can mail silver crowns on a controller.
@EvilSilentFrame yeah I started solo as well. It’s just a great game to get lost into. There’s ways to maximize but just take it at your own pace and let the randomness feel like a story. I’ve had hours where I just fished and didn’t see anyone. I’ve convinced a few of my friend to try it and they absolutely love it. You will lose loot to other pirates, storms, skelly boats, you crashing into stuff and many other ways. Enjoy!
Olli Olli world for me. The first two were amazing and this looks like a brand new entry. Might pick up elden ring to play with my partners brother. I’ll definitely check out cross fire if it’s on game pass.
Love the laid back nature of ESO. The new expansion looks great. Fun to play solo and with friends and take it at your own pace and fall into the lore. Never cared for MIN MAX and BUILDS in MMO's. It takes away from the whole experience of role playing.
I like the lineup and have liked it for the last few months now. It's always games I don't own and haven't played. I try them all out like games that hit game pass. Not sure what people expect from a few bucks a month. Also I pay for game pass with reward points so it feels like Xbox is just a Library of games for myself. It's just games that are supposed to be fun and rewarding. Everyone should stop being so critical and enjoy them and themselves. Not enough time in the day to be negative and critical on every single thing.
