@InterceptorAlpha Sounds like Blizzard. Had the same thing happen to me on Diablo 3. Roll backs, not working, hacked. Never again for me. They know exactly what they are doing to fleece their fan base, customers and their employees.

@InterceptorAlpha You should be going to the publisher of the game for the refund. I personally think you played the game enough to not qualify for a return from the marketplace. It’s your fault and the publishers fault. Letting people play dozens of hours of a game and then ask for a refund from the place that sold it is not right and you passed on their refund policy. Losing progress in a game is as old as online gaming. Most recalls of a product don’t ask for the product back but for the customer to dump them and get their money from the vendor not the seller. I worked retail for nine years and work food recalls for a major food service corporation so that’s my experience with returns/recalls. Additionally you probably bought it digitally. If you bought it physically you could return it or get store credit. You are at the mercy of digital refund policy and if you played the game a lot then you passed the marketplaces policy. I’m sorry for all your time wasted in the game and with customer support. Don’t buy online games at launch.

@InterceptorAlpha Microsoft would of given you a refund. Microsoft is just the marketplace. Your issues are with the publisher of the game who released it in that state which is Activision who also owns the studio that develop the game which is Blizzard. Your gripes should be with them since they are a giant corporation that is highly regarded at selling video games. Blizzard games always release botched. WoW and Diablo 3 have personally been awful for me.
Sony is the only company in my recent memory to take a game off their marketplace with Cyberpunk.i think that was more on Sonys refund policy. I’ve only heard great things with Microsoft customer support.

Good list. I will be claiming all of them. I hardly have a chance to get to the games with gold because game pass has been on an absolute terror. Not sure what people want from these but I'm not sure they know either. COME ON MS GIVE ME 100 DOLLARS!

Excited I can play next Friday and get a whole weekend in before the official release. The DLC for 4 was amazing and I preordered the bundle last month. I think it's great what game pass is doing for the longevity of games and how they handle DLC. 1 MORE WEEK

@cracked_seal Probably a bit of both. My rocket league playing went leaps and bounds from the ps4/switch to my xbox series x. Better connection and smoother frame rate helps tremendously in online multiplayer games. But yeah two weeks in people were just catching and faking really well. Definitely will check out the new update and since it's on ps plus next month the player base should grow and maybe I can find more opponents in my skill bracket.

I loved this when it first came out. I keep wanting to get back in but even a month into release people were insanely good and have way higher reflexes then me. Core concept is great.

I couldn't get past 15 minutes because my partner and I are scaredy cats. The opening scene is unsettling. Once all the tool tips on random things occurring I realized I've read enough sci fi to not put myself in an A.I. nightmare chamber. Getting through Amnesia was hard enough 10 years ago.

I’ve had it crash doing a mass race. And also crash while I was trying to see what you really got with gold edition. Other then that the 6 hours I’ve put into has been amazing. Graphics are pretty good. The map is huge. Lots of variety. Pretty much steep with also bikes. Online multiplayer doesn’t seem to work but I usually just burn through the challenges. Priming me up for Forza. A game I can always go back to.

Played some bassmaster last night. I love fishing in real life but it's a big time suck and investment. I love that this and moonglow both came out. Going to spend hours peacefully fishing with some tunes on.

The docu series is really selling my partner and I on this game. I think it's awesome they added all that history into the game and really hope it runs on her laptop.

Very relaxing game. Fishing with a net and timing schools is rewarding. Can be wonky transversing in voxel but the art style is very charming. Great game pass game. Probably would of still bought it if not for that.

I think it could be the best. I don’t think it will be it’s complete game for a year or more. With forge, multi, and an open world campaign it’s replayability will be very high. Launching this to end the Xbox one era, to kick off this generation with Halo and coming to pc and mobile. It’s a huge launch and what I’ve played and seen I am keen to think this could be the best.

I've cleared dozens, if not hundreds, of bases in Halo. That's primarily the gameplay. I don't see how people watch this and think it looks like Far Cry. Hopefully people aren't breathing out of the straws they are grasping for.

Somedays I think the gaming community is full of toxic children. Most days I know that to be true.

Looks amazing. Can't wait to play it single player and then play it COOP a lot. The hook shot stuff looks breathtaking.

You can play November 5th if you get the game pass upgrade with all dlc, vip, and other bonuses. I’ll be playing in 30 unless it deters my gaming. They say it in the video that it’s cinematic “game-atic” by the way they do wizardry on camera view locks. Next gen consoles and gaming in general has gotten great because of no load times. Graphics and all that are a plus.

@GuyinPA75 Mobile gaming definitely has a stigma around it. I wish it was still called handheld gaming or like on the go gaming.

@JayJ I’m just about to jump on. Truthfully, I’m a huge skate nerd. It’s the sport I follow the most. I’ve enjoyed tony hawk pro skater, ssx, 1080, amped, skater xl, the descenders and also steep. I usually burn out when I finish the challenges or get burnt out from the competition. I’m intrigued how they implement the online. Competition is always thrilling but it has to be fun and have a natural skill ceiling that players explore.

@Snake_V5 should be a download. Check your systems under settings and the updates. Usually they update automatically too.

Should we wavering from riders republic to give this a good going. Love me some extreme sports games.

I have two 1 terabyte expansions. I should be good for awhile.

The beta was good. I wish they would open it up for anyone that’s preordered. I was super excited until I saw the four hour maximum.

@Residentsteven I appreciate the reply. I never saw them as a Naughty Dog type developer. I can see the early platformer inspiration. I have fond memories of playing Perfect Dark coop with my brother and showing each other our farms in Viva Piñata. I just always see Rares games as having cooperative gameplay in their vision. I did love TLOU multiplayer and was disappointed when 2 didn’t have it. I see that we are two different gamers and that’s great. Sorry for the negativity but I love my time with Sea of Thieves. It’s honestly in my top 5 games and most of my top 50 is in their for nostalgia.

@Residentsteven Same old statement and coming from Resident Evil guy. What a truly lackluster series. I want a game I can play with my friends and family and play at our own progression. 25 million sea of thieve users beg to differ on your criticism.

Probably my most anticipated game. If they can make something like Sea of Thieves but for the land and like a shared community I'd be addicted.

@Amin1998 I think this year, Microsoft has the edge over GOTY quality games with Psychonauts 2, FH5 and Halo. Might get a tech award getting Flight Sim on consoles for the first time. I left Sony this generation though because their exclusives aren't really what I'm particularly looking for.

@BlueOcean I completely agree with you. Microsoft just really has Minecraft to compete in the family friendly genre. I'd love a push into Viva Pinata. I'm secretly hoping Everwild is comparable to VP. Like you are cooperatively building this giant forest with friends and family.

I personally don't care for VR. I actually see AR being implemented a bit better. I get motion sickness and wearing a headset would make me claustrophobic.

I find it funny that a mini fridge had a preorder and it sold out and people are scalping them.

Gonna try out Everspace 2, Echo Generation, Fighterz, The Forgotten City, Bassmaster. Good haul.

Can’t wait for fh5. They’ve shown so much doing their Forza play series and everything seems perfect. Really good artists, really good music, graphics events cars customization. Truly a complete package and people are going to put months into the game.

I'd love a gears announcement. If they did a gears complete collection like MCC for 1-4 I would love that. I know Minecraft is their go to for family gaming but I'd like to see them push into this market. They really have the resources to push most demographics and genres.

@BBB I know people had issues. I played it from day 1 till I beat it and didn't have any issues. I just did one run through with 1 character solo. I thought the world building was pretty good and the loot/character system was great. I don't really grind games if I don't have to though.

I've tried and tried to get into oddworld since I was young and just could never get into them. Always seemed clunky and unclear.

Never got into the game myself but find it great that Microsoft is continually supporting their product.

@Originut it just seems like game pass jealousy to be honest. Game pass subscribers pay to be in that service. GPU is just really good at justifying it’s cost. Being irritated in how I spend my money is my own problem.

Definitely going to give it a go this weekend. Seems like a really silly premise that will be fun to dive into. Jankiness and bugs can be hilarious and add to my entertainment.
Not every game can be 10/10. If we want all art to be perfect for everybody we are going to have a very bland existence. Only reason things are seen as perfect is because bad things are their to compare it too. I'd know. I make crap art.

I think game pass and cloud gaming will really benefit Xbox in Japan and Korea. The series S looks like a great product for less wealthy nations that have to deal with huge import taxes. Xbox seems to be diversifying very well in the marketplace. I'm all in!

@GuyinPA75 130 gig download takes me 40 minutes and I can just do it from my phone while I'm at work. One big issue I see people have with their download speed is they are trying to game and download at the same time. Microsoft throttles your speed to give the game high priority so you don't lag.

Free trials are pretty great but two of these games are already on game pass. I loved borderlands 1 ALOT and the second one was good too but the gameplay formula is stale to me.

This seems interesting. I mostly run Duos in BR's so I'll have to see how the player base works with randoms. I already preordered the digital deluxe to play it a week early and get the first year pass. I know between this and halo I'll be set with first person shooters. Forza and Riders republic for my arcade sports titles. Game pass will fill out the rest.

Got burnt out quick on D3. Remember hearing everyone's D2 stories in high school. Ebay items, hacks, bots. Getting your account stolen, I got mine stolen in D3. Blizzard really isn't that good at running these massively popular games on battle net.

I've been paying for my game pass with my Microsoft reward points for the last few months. I got two of my best friends to come back to Xbox and get Series X's after they both got PS5s. Both got gamepass too. For me, I love game pass. I usually try every game that hits. I used to love game demos on disc, blockbuster rentals and shareware. This brings that "game testing" back to consumers.

I can't wait for this game to release. Even though riders republic, battlefield 2042 and halo are coming out in the months surrounding FH5s release, I'll probably put the most time in Forza. Top notch series.
