GamePass has been a snooze fest for me since Plague Tale. I played HiFi and it was mediocre, the hype for that game confuses me. I get what she is saying and glad there are people who are into it but it hasn’t done it for me.

The only thing I’m talking about is that MS barely if at all markets their service and games….

But for the record, PS+ has over 40M subs….

@Moonglow I’m not following. GamePass has been around for 6 years. They say they want more subs but they hardly market it. I see PS ads constantly but almost never do I see Xbox ones. That’s what I’m meaning.

Now if only they marketed their games and GamePass this much….

@Banjo- They can deny all they want but they are master wordsmiths as we’ve seen the past several years. I fully expect it to go up.

@BAMozzy Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m 99% sure ER was locked at 60 on PS5 and would only dip into low 50s occasionally on X?

Starfield is likely far more demanding on the console than Redfall so I don’t see it running at 60fps at this point. One disappointment after another.

@UltimateOtaku91 Did you play anything in 60fps just prior to it? It felt so clunky to me at 30fps.

@BAMozzy I will eat my socks if this game is a contender for GoTY.

So far I’ve seen nothing to suggest it’s anywhere near that quality. The boss gameplay that was released looked incredibly tedious. Shoot some bullets run far away, repeat. When the IGN podcast talked about their experience they all said it felt like solo play was tacked on just to be there.

On the other hand, I 100% agree that it’s risk free to try it if you have GP, which I will be doing and hope I’m wrong about the game.

It was a decent game, probably in the 7/10 range. I found it much better than Deathloop, which I thought was just awful. GT is also better than HiFi so it’s worth a shot.

I didn’t have an update. Is this not live yet?

@themightyant Thanks for the reply. I’ve ever been interested in the games where I’ve got to sit down and play a game I don’t want to.

@AverageJoseph Yes, I always skipped the ones where I’d have to play a game I didn’t want to play. So nothing has changed on that front for me and I’m still earning less. You could word it however you wan, but for me, how I participate with rewards, the points are now less.

@AverageJoseph The monthly dropped by 500. They added more weekly quests that require lengthier playtime that I don’t do. So all that adds up to less points each week/month.

@AverageJoseph Whatever they did it’s now less points for me as well. Remove, redistributed or whatever, it equates to less points for how I used the rewards program.

This should be a solid game but going to try Redfall before purchasing.

As per usual, the front is cool and the back not matching is infuriating.

I only play a handful of games at a time, like maybe 3 at most, so I’m in no danger of filling up the drive as I just delete games when done.

I’m always puzzled why they do different colors front and back. My electro volt would be so much better if it was solid instead of the dumb white back.

This particular color scheme isn’t quite as offensive though.

Trying to plod my way through RE4 remake (I know, I know). Enjoying the new FH5 DLC and playing MLB The Show as well.

Baffling to me. VS is not my cup of tea so I guess I just don’t get it

I haven’t noticed much frame rate drop on performance but the dead zones on Xbox controllers are truly embarrassing. I have to push the stick almost halfway before the character looks or moves. How did this actually ship in this state?

I loved the base game, I enjoyed the HW DLC and so far so good on Rally DLC. To me, this is by far Microsoft’s best game of this gen.

@relaxplease I guess I can rephrase it. The rewards you get for the ways I participate in the program have been lowered….

@relaxplease Thanks for the info. Seems like that stuff isn’t things I’ll ever do/see so while the changes helped you, it lowered the total for me.

I wasn’t staying an opinion, those are just the numbers. Secondly, MS is based in their state, so obviously they are going to try and help them out.

What was controversial about what I said?

MS funds these representatives and the senator that are involved. There is no surprise here that they are willing to go to bat for them regardless of not understanding video games at all.

@Chuffer I was bummed when the monthly game pass quest for daily/weekly was cut down to 500 from 1000. They also seem to have cut a lot of the weekly stuff from 25 or 50 to….5.

I still participate in stuff but not nearly as into getting all the points as I was before because it’s not as time effective.

@R1spam It’s a game that is way more fun with friends. I had a good solo experience in the beta but will play with buddies when game launches.

The first hour or maybe even 90 minutes were VERY slow. Once you get rolling with some skills the game is great. Story wise, this is much better than Diablo has had in awhile.

There is zero question that Bethesda was going to put Redfall and Starfield on PS prior to the acquisition.

PS has the larger console base so unless Bethesda just doesn’t like doing business and wants to make boatloads less money, no reason they wouldn’t.

So saying that MS didn’t take these away from PS because they weren’t announced is a form of mental gymnastics to get around what actually happened I think.

There is nothing wrong with MS doing what they want with the stuff they own, mind you. It’s just the attempt to say they didn’t remove the games from coming to PS that is silly.

@Pepa27 The aiming isn’t great on Xbox due to the dead zones. I want to like this as much as other people do but I just can’t get into it.

@NEStalgia I think I disagree with everything you said. Lol. I’m perfectly content to just say we have very different tastes in games and what our definition of AAA is. No right or wrong here.

I just want to say that the “puzzle” at the end of chapter 2 should not exist in any universe.

Edit: Google tells me the game is bugged there. Save and reload and it will work. Hope I save some people time that I wasted as it worked within 10 seconds after save/reload.

@NeutronBomb I have GamePass so no reason to not try it, just keeping my expectations pretty low at this point.

@InterceptorAlpha I get more of a FC feel from it with the open world and such but the co-op stuff I can see L4D. Sad times.

I was initially optimistic from the previous article on this game this week. After watching IGN podcast unlocked, it’s clear this game is going to be best for co-op with the option of playing solo and it won’t be as good that way. The podcast was trying real hard to be positive but you could tell they weren’t super into it.
